The air conditioned guest house with kitchenette & full bathroom is a separate studio.
Each private bedroom is beautifully decorated and supplied with fresh linens and towels. The comfortable family spaces are equipped with smart TVs and cable. The spacious sunroom has gorgeous vaulted ceilings and wall to wall windows. The dedicated home office area is sunny and inviting. Costa Rica has excellent internet service, and the highest quality fiber optic WiFi is provided for your communication needs.
The kitchen is ready for you to practice your cooking skills with all the necessary utensils and appliances. We provide breakfast groceries from the local farmers market & organic artisan toiletries at check-in for your convenience and enjoyment!
Lifeguarding, babysitting, driver and cooking referrals are available. A full size washer and dryer are onsite, and maid service can be requested for an additional fee. You will enjoy a private backyard with local flora and fauna and of course the refreshing pool! You might share your pool deck with the occasional iguana.
You will not lack for the comforts of home while enjoying the local restaurants and touring world renown attractions. Guided day trips are available from this central location! The villa is located 30 minutes from SJO airport by car and 45 minutes by bus. For your peace of mind a motion sensing security camera with flood lights is installed to monitor the exterior of the property which is located behind a secure electric gate. The local house manager lives near by if any issues should arise during your stay.
Once you have parked in the carport you should have no problems with any steps. There are zero steps to and in the main house. The casita has steps to the entry from the garden, but none from the carport.
There are air conditioning units in the master bedroom, kitchen, sunroom and casita. The only spaces without dedicated units are the 2 guest bedrooms. This was based on need and space. The average temperatures for our microclimate are lows at night of 60°F, and highs of 80°F high during the day making air conditioning unnecessary in the evening/sleep time. Atenas has less sunlight and more precipitation during the months of May - October. You may in fact need layers and blankets at night which of course we provide! Dehumidifiers are also provided for the green season.
