Anniversary staycation

The residence was lovely in that it was just “away” from everything. We stayed in, cooked meals, played board games, enjoyed the hot tub and took in some movies. A lovely place to just get away.

Nice house with a yard that is very dog friendly. Great location if you are there to hike some of the many trails.

Wonderful Stay

This was our second stay at the Homestead Hideaway and we had another great time! The location of the property is perfect - we watched deer walk by in the mornings and enjoyed the quiet evenings. Hailey is so easy to work with and has a ton of amenities provided for her guests. We will stay again!

Lovely property!

We loved our time at this property! The house was spacious and very clean. The location is beautiful and we had the privilege of seeing an albino deer every evening we stayed. We will definitely return!

Great Little Getaway!

The property was very clean and comfy without being pretentious. The master bed was comfortable enough for my wife to sleep in, which is rare. It’s very spacious and the property is beautiful with an abundance of wildlife. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect weekend getaway

My mom, sisters, and I chose Homestead Hideaway for our annual girls’ weekend, and it did not disappoint. We were happy to see that the wildlife were our only neighbors. We enjoyed our stay, and have already talked about going back next year.

Great for a group or a couple

Homestead Hideaway was perfect for our girls party! The bedrooms were comfy as was the living room. The living room was perfect for hanging out and relaxing, best couch ever! The host's communication was great, she was very easy to contact. Totally recommend it, it met and exceeded our expectations!

Simple Country Living

My family and I enjoyed a relaxing, quiet stay at this corner property. Filled with the sounds of nature and God's creation all around. From cows, to birds, to deer taking drink from the pond. Lovely! Rocking chairs on the front porch were great! My kids especially enjoyed the hot tub each morning with the sunrise. Thank you God for this beautiful place and bless the owners for sharing it with others, Amen.

Winter Break

The place was nice with a quiet atmosphere and was a short drive from a pleasant park. Check in and out was simple and well communicated. The master bedroom was a bit chilly at night but the rest of the rooms were quite comfortable. I appreciated the guest book with suggested nearby activities and restaurants. We ate at an Italian family run place that had excellent food.

Perfect for family

Home very clean. Love sitting on the rocking chairs on the shaded front porch. My daughter and granddaughters love the hot tub. Also enjoyed the jetted tub in the master bathroom. We stayed 4 nights/5 days. Wish we stayed a little longer. Visited several parks/playgrounds in Waterloo Our dog a chocolate lab loved being able to run and play fetch. Totally tired out by end of day. Love seeing the stars from back porch and while in the hot tub at night. Definitely recommend this home and location. The air was so clean. What a difference from a big city.

This was our 3rd time staying at the Homestead Hideaway and once again, it did not disappoint. The location is perfect for a quiet and stress free stay. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and we enjoy the jetted tub in the master bath. We'll continue to return for as long as this quality property is available.

Country quiet...

What a quiet and peaceful spot! We had a great dinner of steak and asparagus prepared on the grill. My daughter and I enjoyed sitting by the firepit under the stars and in the hot tub. I had a nice run on country roads in the rain! Coffee on the front porch in the rocking chairs was a tranquil start to our days. The home was as presented with plenty of amenities and plenty of room. We all enjoyed our time at the Homestead Hideaway! Thank you!
