Hotel Bonsol is a 2 star hotel and it is no frills but has some good positives.Choose the superior room with sea view as it has a huge terrace and worth the extra cost. Breakfast is a cold selection buffet and has the best coffee we’ve had in a hotel.Good shower, hairdryer etc.Plenty of coat hangers ( unusually)Beds were comfortable, we both slept well.No air con but honestly we didn’t need it because the ceiling fan was great and we left the balcony door open with wooden shutters closed, no insect problems!Staff very friendly but not always around. Good bar, reasonable prices.Nice pool areaGood WiFi you have to get a separate ticket for joining instructions, it took several attempts but was fine once we were in.Communal fridge/ freezer on landing (no fridge in room) worked okay for us for ice and cold drinks.It was clean enough for an old hotelPool area lovely, sunbeds available No restaurants in immediate area, they are a good walk away down hill to the beach. Okay walking down but you have to walk back up. We managed it okay with a bit of huffing and puffing.It is an old hotel, so not for those expecting a modern, sophisticated one.Would we stay again?Yes, but probably only for a short stay and maybe later/earlier in season.
