Perfect for a romantic getaway or a small family retreat, our cozy one-bedroom cabin with a loft offers breathtaking lake views and direct water access, ensuring an unforgettable lakeside experience.

The cottage is just steps away from Sylvan Lake in Rome City, IN. Sylvan Lake is a 700-acre all-sports lake, where you can enjoy jet skis, swimming, fishing, skiing or just boating around the 16 miles of shoreline.

Wake up to the sound of gentle waves and enjoy your morning coffee on the private deck overlooking the sparkling waters of Sylvan Lake. The cabin features a comfortable bedroom, a loft area, and a fully equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs. Unwind in the inviting living area with large windows that frame picturesque lake views, or step outside to enjoy a range of water activities.

In the evening, gather around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and share stories under the stars. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or an adventurous getaway, our Sylvan Lake cabin provides the perfect setting for your next vacation.

The cottage is situated just minutes from the new 8.5 mile Fishing Line Trail connecting Rome City, IN and Kendallville, IN, and is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy all that the surrounding area has to offer including cycling, hiking, and bird watching.

Offering 1 bedroom plus a loft, and 1 full bath, this rental home is loaded with extras inside and out. Spring, summer, and fall guests will enjoy water sports and area attractions like Sundaes on Sylvan, Sylvan Cellars Event Center, including the Craft Tasting Room. The cottage has its own dock access if you bring your own boat. Winter guests will love ice fishing and snowmobiling. If you feel like staying in, meal prep is easy in the excellently newly renovated kitchen.

A lovely cabin by the lake.

It was cold cold but still the cabin was a nice place to stay. Had a view of the lake and the cabin was comfy and clean. Easy communication with the host.

Fantastic July 4th stay

Excellent location easily accessible by boat or car. Sara was very communicative and helpful whenever we had a question. The cottage was clean and the AC was kicking. Neighbors are friendly and we really loved the lake. This was our first time on Sylvan and we will absolutely be back.

Beautiful view, cute and cozy! Only thing I seen that needed cleaned was the loft carpet was in pretty rough shape. But I just told my daughter to stay out of there and we had a nice stay. I would stay again.

Perfect little lake house

We enjoyed our quick stay for a concert at Sylvan Cellars. Enjoyed being right on the lake and using the kayaks to explore. The screen porch was the perfect place to sit in the evening and mornings. Will be back again.

Charming and well appointed

We had a lovely stay here. Our group consisted of 2 couples away for the holiday weekend. We spent the majority of our time while at the cottage in the screened in porch which was perfect. Sara was a lovely host and was very communicative. We would most definitely stay here again.

Beautiful lake home

I stayed here with my 2 sisters and our mother. The house is very cute and in a pretty good location. It was clean and everything was in working order and it had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for us all. We even was able to book it 5 or 6 days before our trip. That was a big relief, we really appreciated it.

Would book again

Spent the weekend. The space is adorable with a wonderful full kitchen. Large main bedroom, and full loft. The futon in the living room folds out. The cabin is spotless and well appointed. The screened in porch makes for some great views and bug free nights. Wood and chairs even provided for the firepit. Very comfortable.

The cottage has been beautifully remodeled. Loved the view of the lake from the screened in porch. Took advantage of kayaks and was grateful they were there to us. We did not want for anything. Was appreciative of responses from host to my questions! Usually don’t go to same place twice but this cottage, etc has changed my mind!

Another Wonderful Stay

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at one of the two cottages, 2nd time at this "little" cabin. It is plenty roomy enough for the two of us & maybe next time a few grandkids who would love the loft! We really enjoyed sitting on the screened porch for our meals looking out over the lake. It was a short walk to the boat dock. The place is clean & efficient with quality bedding, towels, dishes, appliances, etc. Host is quick to reply and help out in anyway possible. Thank you!
