Victorian era Mississippi riverview retreat.

LOTS of space for your family or friends! This 4 bedroom, 2 bath house can accommodate up to 8 adults. Close to great dining down the street ( The Golden Frog and Lilly Pad are just a few steps out the front door. A few other restaurants are just a few additional steps away) and public boat landings. Public hunting land and 2 state parks nearby. A short 4 mile drive to Mississippi Thunder Speedway. 15 minutes drive to Winona MN. 20 minutes to Arcadia. The National Eagle Center is about 25 minutes away. Located on a dead end street with very minimal traffic for a good night sleep. Riverview from the yard provides a great opportunity to watch boats travel or just admire the color of trees changing in the fall. The back yard boasts plenty of room for yard games. (Ie, ladder toss or bags) Bring your own steak (and coal) for a cookout on the charcoal grill. Like to hike? Perrot and Merick state parks are short drive to some of the best outdoor areas around. Enjoyed the stay with my family. We wished for one more queen bed but totally made it work. I wanted to make mention of a large bee hive in the furnace room door way & many bee’s throughout the stay but darn nature is my attitude. Also both back doors definitely need attention the way the close or don’t close. Overall had a great time & thank you so much.

The house is clean and well stocked. For nature lovers the river refuge is nearby and a great place to hike. In the evening try Monarch Public House.

A great house right in town. Two small things. 1. The info says one room has a king bed, but it is a queen. 2. The bathtub was not clean. We didn't use it.

We had a wonderful time in Fountain City.. Greg’s Place was clean and spacious for our group of 6.. the house was cool and quirky and within walking distance to everything we needed.. we recommend the Golden Frog and The Landing and the huge patio at the Lily Pad.. the house had plenty of towels, bedding etc.. also only 15 minutes from our family in Winona that we were visiting

Family Funeral

Stayed here for funeral in Winona. Great house walking distance to a few places to eat. Great view of the river. Could use another shower in the upstairs bathroom, but our teenage daughter really loved the tub.

Great Spot

The house was perfect for our needs. We had plenty of space for our group. The house was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect and a block off of Highway 35. We will absolutely consider staying here again!

This house was great! We were down to visit my son at Winona State University for the weekend. Fountain City was the perfect cute little river town and it was a short drive away. The house was cozy, clean, quiet, and well stocked. Beds were very comfortable and the host is very accomodating and always seeking to improve, which shows great character. We will definitely stay again!

Friends time away

The house was as advertised. It had everything we needed for our two-night stay. It was conveniently located across from the Mississippi River and the restaurants in the small town. Communication with the host was easy, and he responded quickly.

In area for a College reunion

Place was as described. Rooms comfortable albeit a bit warm in the upstairs, even with fans and AC. Had a little trouble getting code key to work at first but were able to overcome. Owner was very responsive to our plight. If I could change one thing it would have been all the stairs. Be careful on the last step off the porch stairs. There is a little cement step that is kind of hidden under last wooden step. If miss that, it is a drop and we almost wiped out a couple times. All in all, well-stocked, clean and comfortable. Quiet. I would stay again.thanks to owner who keeps it nice for Vrbo customers.

Great Place

The home was perfect for our family, we were in the area for graduation. There was Plenty of room for all of us. Very clean and easy to check-in. Also, enjoy Fountain City. I highly recommend this location.

Great spot for family during college move in week.

This was a great spot for our family of 6 to home base out of during college move in week. Plenty of space for the teens to separate when needed, but have dinner and hang out at other times. Fountain City is a cute little river town with some food, drinks, and a Kwik trip for essentials. Property was clean and well stocked, comfortable home away from home. Would definitely stay again.

Very convenient

Great location near restaurants. Large, lovely bathroom on second floor. This older home shows its age, but was fine for us attending a family reunion.

Family get away for a long weekend

checking in was great, very easy. the view is NOT anything like the pictures, there were a lot of spider webs with spiders in them in the bathrooms, there's also mice in the house and we had to set traps and caught one. Not any plastic containers to put things in while cooking or for left overs, just pots and pans. The only shower is very small so it will take a family awhile to get ready if showers are needed! Close to bars and restaurants and the river to walk by. You can hear the trains at times so if you are a light sleeper I would think twice.
