The house was lovely. The property is shady, the water is beautiful, and the dock is clean and functional. The host is clear, communicative, and easy to deal with. It's so nice that the house has a washer and dryer, bedding, etc. It makes packing and traveling so easy. We had a great stay.

Great host. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. Love the fact you can rent a boat from the host. Plenty of fishing and tubing. My family and I highly recommend this cottage. Would rent again. Thank you.

End of summer getaway

The accommodations were just as described and the view was beautiful. Perfect location for all we did and lots of hiking near by. Definitely would recommend! Great for a summer getaway!

Perfect summer lakehouse getaway!

The lakehouse itself is perfect! Plenty of space, amenities within the home and being able to be outside right on the water with a fire going and spendinf quality time was priceless! Kayaks were a blast and bags onsite were the perfect evening game!

Beautiful views

Everything about the property was organized and clear! We loved the view, the deck with gate to keep our furry friends safe and the consistent and clear communication with the owners. Excellent set up, comfortable beds and a view and neighborhood that can’t be beat. We hope to rent there again!

A beautiful cabin

We had a nice time staying in Cedar on Lake Leelanau. This cabin is close to Leland where we ended up going to dinner a couple times. We also went to Van’s beach and I would highly recommend. My husband had a hard time catching fish in Lake Leelanau, (he actually caught zero fish), but we still enjoyed taking boat rides. I’ve never stayed at a more accommodating VRBO. This cabin had literally everything you could ever need. I’ve stayed at some that don’t even have paper towels. My children loved it and want to go back soon! I chatted with Denise a few times and she was so friendly. Really appreciated that they were pet friendly, as I was able to take my 12 year old dog with cancer on his first vacation. Many thanks to Kim, Dan, and their siblings!

Amazing experience!

The hosts were really polite and professional. Denise explained all the rules clearly. House was wonderful and very clean. Just like we imagined. Peaceful and quiet. Outdoor was beautiful with fire pit and chairs facing the lake. Morning coffee on the deck while watching sunrise tasted amazing. Great lake experience on the boat we were able to rent. Kids had a blast on the pontoon. Thank you again for having us and we sure be back there again. We recommend the place to anyone who is looking for peace away from the city and to forget about everyday life, work, and stress.

Cozy. Comfortable. And Clean

Wonderful property right on Lake Leelanau and situated about half way between Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. So location was great. Home was very clean; not a spec of dust to be found. Kitchen well stocked with everything you’d need. My favorite thing was to sit on the deck each morning and enjoy the peaceful lake views with a cup of coffee. There is a pontoon boat available for an additional cost and if it’s in your budget, I highly recommend it. There are many sand bars where the water is only about 2-3ft deep so great for kiddos. The water around the dock is shallow and clear which would be good for a swim or splashing around. Don’t forget water shoes. Just up the road is little winery that also serves cider for tastings or a glass. And a really good Bavarian pretzel. Communications with the host was quick and friendly. Overall my family had a great time and would definitely return.

A clean, quaint cottage

This vacation was everything we needed to unwind and relax. The next time we visit we are planning on renting a boat for the day so we can explore the lake. The cottage had everything we needed. We throughly enjoyed our stay

Annual Friends Trip 2022

Wonderful stay love the decor and beautiful lake views. Large yard for bean bag game. Fire by the lake so close to so many things to do. Air conditioning was wonderful with the hot humid weather. We will for sure be back.
