This cabin is in a quiet wooded area with a view of Cedar Lake that is really beautiful. Kayaks, a canoe and even a pontoon boat are available. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay! Cabin is close to wineries, waterfront restaurants, breweries and downtown TC. Favorite spots were Sleeping Bear Dunes, Mission Lighthouse and Historic Fishtown. 10/10 experience!

The property was in good condition. During the summer there is only a very small view of the lake from the house, however that's because the property is so wooded. I'll note that the property has well water that is completely untreated. I think it's technically safe to drink but it tastes bad and smells like eggs. As long as you bring a lot of bottled water or jugs of water you should be OK. Don't wash any clothes that are too precious to you as the well water gave some of our clothes rusty streaks. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you prepare for the well water, this is a really great place to stay.

Had a great time on Cedar Lake fishing, boating, kayaking, fires, golf, cards, cornhole, and also trips into Traverse City. Enjoyed the surrounding area on Grand Traverse Bay and Lake Ann. The cabin and pontoon boat were excellent for the week of fun with family.

The property was great! The house was very clean and comfortable, and check-in was easy. The lake was a perfect size with excellent fishing (mostly bass and bluegill). We used the pontoon a lot and didn’t even go through half of the gas provided, so that was a very nice perk. Kayaks were great, too. We also enjoyed both firepits - one up near the house and one on the dock. There were 3 Adirondack chairs in good condition and several other plastic outdoor chairs. The deck had a nice 6-seat outdoor table, and the charcoal grill was in good shape. Kitchen was well-stocked but would benefit from having a nonstick pan.Docking one star for some of the issues we experienced while we were there. The biggest issue was that the water was extremely iron-y. No big deal for drinking as we just bought water bottles, but the smell was pretty bad for brushing teeth and showering. The biggest issue was that the iron in the water stained our clothes in the laundry to the point of ruining some items. It made the washing machine completely unusable for light colored items. A few other maintenance issues were encountered throughout the house, but the hosts resolved them very quickly. Overall, the hosts were extremely communicative and paid to replace our ruined clothes, but it was not a fun thing to deal with.If you’re looking for an upscale camping vibe with great amenities, this fits the bill. We would definitely stay here again, just wouldn’t do laundry!

Awww! Thanks for all the kind comments, Emily! You guys were great and are welcome back anytime. Future guests: too much iron in the water seems to happen once every 7-8 years. If you're nervous about washing light colors, just run a load of our kitchen towels to see if there is an issue. Thankfully, it's all back to normal now!

Great Spring Break in the woods!

Our family of 4 (plus medium-sized dog) had a wonderful 5 nights here in the woods. We enjoyed how far away from everything we felt while at the cabin, but how close we actually were to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and more.

Great place for a short trip

Really enjoyed our stay. Property was nice and clean and matched the description. A nice place to stay for a couple of days, far from the madding crowd 🙂. Great communication with the owner and very helpful with adjustment on our stay duration.

Great place on the lake

Beautiful house and property on a very quiet and calm lake. This property had everything needed for a perfect family summer vacation and we will definitely be booking this house again.

Wonderful Michigan Getaway!

Our stay was great! Cozy cabin, clear lake for swimming, loved kayaking and swimming off the pontoon. The home is situated between Traverse City and the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. We loved our outdoor adventures and the cabin was great for our indoor rainy days too!

We had a wonderful stay! The kitchen was well stocked. In the morning, I would watch the sunrise through the trees, over the lake, get the coffee brewed, and have a nice breakfast before heading out for the day. In the evenings, we watched some football, played pool and enjoyed a campfire. The beds were comfortable. Since there were only 3 of us, we utilized the main bedroom and the loft bedroom. The location was quiet, secluded, but also close to many activities and sights in the area. Anything we wanted to see or do was a 10 to 30 minute drive. I wish we had a few more days just to stay and enjoy the property.

Nice cabin, enjoyed our stay

Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay here. The woods are peaceful and kayaking on the lake was fun. When I first saw the list of extra things to bring like soap and TP I was disappointed that we had to pack extra, but we ended up finding a lot of what we needed left at the house by previous guests. There is a dollar general five minutes away so I would recommend seeing what you need first and grabbing it there. Overall we would be happy to stay again!
