Darling home and great getaway

Darling home. Super clean with a great view. Highly recommend! Fyi, if you have little people, know that the swimming area is rocky. We went to a local park and it was perfect!

Carefree Cottage

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Carefree Cottage. The cottage was very cute and really clean! The owners were quick to respond to questions and the check in process was extremely easy. We would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful view & quiet getaway!

Absolutely peaceful getaway! We spent the night here for a quiet, unplugged, & peaceful getaway and it did not disappoint. The house was fresh and spotless clean and not overwhelmed with artificial plug-in deodorizers (like many are). While there is a big TV and plenty of movies & games, we literally sat on the screened in porch and enjoyed the view until the sky was dark and again at sunrise. The bird-watching was amazing, we saw a variety including bald eagles. This place goes on our list for a return visit for sure! The only negative was what I’m assuming is well water. Bring your own drinking water & we limited our hot water use. This was not enough to outweigh all of the wonderful perks this property has to offer. Thank you David & Cathy for sharing this little peaceful place.

Relaxing stay

We really enjoyed staying here. The kitchen was well equipped, the accommodation is ideal for two, and there’s a great view over the lake. It really suited us to be able to self-cater (we have been on holiday in the US and thus eating out every night) and chill out a bit …this was the perfect surroundings. We could walk trails etc in the various parks, around the dam and waterfront in Warsaw, really pleasant. We didn’t have a boat, but ideal for someone who does.

Awesome View!

Just myself and my husband stayed here and it was not only quiet but surprisingly VERY clean for as old as the house is- and had the best stocked kitchen of any place we have stayed at. So very close to the lake and we could sit for hours watching the birds, fisherman, and just enjoy the peace. Thank you for sharing your little home with us!

Perfect Quiet Getaway

This property was perfect for a quiet, offseason weekend. Modest, but well kept on the outside, inside this location is perfectly arranged and quite comfortable. We took a couple of short drives to see the town of Warsaw and also stopped in a couple of parks to hike around and look at the lake. It's hard to get a sense of just how beautiful the view off of the screened-in back deck is. It's a perfect spot to sit in quiet contemplation as the sun goes down over the lake.

Magnificent weekend

The place was exactly as described - perfect for the two of us. We were blessed with beautiful weather during our visit and spent hours on the screened porch, enjoying the peace and serenity of the lake. The most entertaining neighborhood cat visited daily, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Great Cabin on the Lake

The house was exactly as described. The screened in porch provided an excellent place to view the sunset without the worry of flying insects. We stayed outside after dark and loved seeing all the fireflies. We wish we had more time to enjoy the lake and surrounding area. We’ll definitely be back.

We retired (David was a planning manager; Cathy was a Nurse Practitioner) to a small farm that keeps us very busy, but the natural beauty of the lake draws us back again and again.

Boat launch just a few steps away. Gorgeous views year round; unbelievable sunrises and sunsets. Beautiful birds - did I mention eagles! Everything you need in this cozy cottage. Just minutes from shopping and sightseeing (Warsaw is 15 minutes away). Activities for everyone - biking, hiking, boating, fishing. We've compiled a book of activities in the region but if you prefer, this is the perfect spot for quiet and calm relaxation.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

I can't say enough about the view. The Cottage is on a bluff that is directly opposite a conservation area, so the view is unmarred by any development.
