The code to the apartment, if it was sent in advance, was not easy to find. I expected some communication today welcoming me and ensuring I had the access code. I called the owner multiple times. No answer. He finally responded to a text via the VRBO app.

Perfect spot!

Really enjoyed our stay. The owner was extremely responsive. The property was located ideally for everything we had to do. It was clean and we appreciated the available parking. It was a good, fair price as well. If we get back, this is where we'll look for a place to stay first.

Girls trip

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and cute. I feel like there could have been better communication regarding the check in process. I did not hear from the owner one time until I messaged him the day of check-in to be told that within one hour of the check-in time he would send me the code for the door. When the trip was booked, he could have sent a message then stating what the process was just so I didn’t have to worry because I hadn’t heard from him. I also felt that there could have been some instructions regarding the TV. Otherwise my friend and I enjoyed our stay very much.

Second floor, no elevator. Not a lot of home comforts. Bed caved in the middle, bath towels torn and not enough, no hand towels, no wash cloths (went to Marshall’s and bought some), 2 half used rolls of both toilet paper and paper towels (had to buy more) no sharp knife, no scissors. No hair dryer which was not discovered until out of the shower with wet hair. The worst was the Only bath soap was a sliver broken in half stuck to the shower shelf (had to buy soap) and the previous guests garbage bag was left in the kitchen. My friend and I wondered if the sheets had even been changed before we arrived. Not for someone seeking a comfortable stay.

Perfect location, comfortable stay

Small studio apartment that is wonderfully located, close to everything you want. Communication was good with Host. Bed was comfortable, great shower! Air conditioner was turned on for our arrival and kept us cool and comfortable in a hot Austin summer. Thanks so much Jesse! :)

Perfect for a quick stay

We needed a place for a quick overnight stay in Austin. It does sleep 4. The air mattress is a twin so the 4th person had to sleep on the couch. Property was clean. The bathroom sink drain was rather slow, though. Be on the lookout for a complex called "The Square" as you may pass it due to construction in the area. Parking is limited, but once we got there, we were not going anywhere. This property is located in a section of Austin called "The Grove".

Unacceptable

No contact from owner regarding check in codes until one hour after check in time. We contacted VRBO and they reserved a hotel room for us for 2 nights. I understand the VRBO owner was in an accident day of our arrival , but we were promised check in information day prior to check in. TV device buffering all the time. TV remote did not work all the time. Pool was unavailable for use due to half full of green water. No lights in closet. Pitch black. 4 lights out in bathroom/ closet area. Bath towels had bad odor. Rubber strip on threshold not attached properly tripped many times. Dirty bath mats

Great price for location

We were pleased to stay so close to the busy part of the city without a big price tag. The only issue was that there was only one towel when we arrived, but the host, Jesse, was transparent about that from the beginning, before we even got to the vrbo — someone dropped them off for us 3-4 hours after check in and left them for us in a basket outside the door while we were away (which we were okay with for belongings security purposes), it was just inconvenient that we all couldn’t shower right after check in. The bed mattress was kind of concave in the middle of it, so it made it slightly uncomfortable with two people sleeping on it. Overall, would stay again!
