Stay together in our wheelchair-accessible home built to be a fit for everyone. This family-friendly home is steps from Woodlawn Lake and new Community Pool and just 5 miles from the Pearl and the Riverwalk. Open floorplan and great yard with firepit and grill.

This is our first Able & Grace vacation home. It's a new build that we modified to make wheelchair accessible.

Perfectly accessible home!

The house was exactly like the pictures. It was beautiful. Looks brand new. Cute little front porch and a nice back porch and backyard area with a fire pit. There is a ramp to the front door and to the back porch, as well as a long ramp to the yard. Beds are off the ground so a patient lift can roll underneath. The accessible bathroom was great. I am quadriplegic and if I were to shower when I was there, I'm not sure I would have fit into the shower in a commode chair. There is a bench in the shower that is mounted to the wall and it blocks the entry to the shower if you would need to roll a commode / shower chair in there. That's the only negative thing I can say about it. It really is nearly perfect! And beautiful! Communication was informative and prompt. I had to rent a patient lift and they organized with the company I rented from for its delivery and pick up. Thank you so much for a great experience!

The perfect home

We loved our stay at this home! The decor, the cleanliness, and the aesthetic was just perfect for our first family trip to San Antonio. We were close to all the places we wanted to go. The beds were amazing. Had some of the best sleep there. 10/10 must try again!

Perfect place for friends to reunite AND OH SO ACCESSIBLE

This was our second stay because the first was so good. This was even better! The owner had asked us for feedback about its wheelchair accessibility (which was already tremendous) and I gave her a few ideas to make it even better. Got there this time and what-do-you-know she had executed those suggestions perfectly. We love this place as did our non-disabled friends. Roomy and nicely decorated and immaculately clean. Great time.

This home met all of our accessibility needs, was beautifully decorated and maintained and provided an excellent home base for our family to explore San Antonio. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a variety of meals and having full laundry availability was great.

Fantastic place to stay!

This home was one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in. It was open and airy, stocked with everything we could ever need, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. One of our party is in a wheelchair and was so appreciative of the adaptations that have been made that enabled him to navigate the home inside and outside. The adaptations in the shower were especially nice. The host was always available - thank you Natalie!

Immaculate home very close to downtown San Antonio

We spent very little time on the road traveling to our destinations since this beautiful home was so close to everything. The location was very close to stores and to town. The home was decorated so nicely and makes you feel like you are truly on vacation. The kitchen was well stocked and our host was very responsive when we had any questions or needs. Highly recommend!

Perfect property for our accesible needy family

We are a family of 4, with two of us in power wheelchairs. This property was perfect for us and college age children. Grandpa and Grandma really loved the interior and how well organized everything was. We would definately stay again. Thanks to owner for focusing on making homes accessible. This is much needed.

My dad hasn’t seen his siblings in almost 10 years and I hadn’t seen them in over 15. It was so nice to visit with all of our family in your beautiful home especially since most of them are using walkers and wheelchairs. We got to visit talk laugh eat and more importantly create memories to last forever. All of my family members loved your home and we would rent it again and again! This home was well appointed with every detail thought of. We enjoyed the space and room to relax comfortably. We were here for an Air Force graduation and the location was equal distance between the base and downtown San Antonio. There is a park with a small lake just down the road to walk around which was nice.

Beautiful Home

If I were to build a home it would look just like this! Every detail was planned for the comfort of the guests. Every room looked like Chip & Joanna Gains dreamed it up. The only negative I would say is that it is on a very busy road and is by far the nicest house in the neighborhood- it was my sister and myself with our kids. We were a little apprehensive about the area and ended up sleeping in our kids rooms for safety reasons and didn’t let them play outside alone but besides that it was a wonderful stay and really comfortable beds. The house is about 15-20 minutes from six flags and does have two HEBs close by.

First time to San Antonio

The house was very clean and the towels were fantastic. The location was close to downtown and the river walk. The neighborhood was a transitional neighborhood. The next door neighbor did have a large, loud party on Saturday night! That was the only complaint!

Beautiful Castle

Beautiful house with everything our small group could ask for. The bedrooms were wonderful, a very spacious living, dining and kitchen area adjoined for gathering and socializing. Plenty of amenities available. The front and backyards are very well maintained. The group had access to the firepit which we used and of course the cornhole boards. Overall, we had a wonderful time staying there. The property owner was very nice and helpful. Will highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a weekend getaway.

Absolutely perfect!!

The property is adorable! It is so clean and functional. It was a perfect place for our family to stay over Christmas. ❤️💚❤️💚 It is definitely the nicest home on the street and close to the river walk (which was part of our plans!). Perfect home for large family

This home is so thoughtfully done throughout! Large bedrooms and completely updated. The kitchen/dining/living area is a great space to gather. The backyard was cute and has a firepit and yard games. It was is in the perfect location right between Lackland Airforce Base and Fort Sam Houston and easy to get to the Riverwalk. The hostess was very responsive and helpful. Overall we had a wonderful trip! Thank you for sharing this home with us!

From the start, Natalie was a communicative and kind host. She was prompt to let me know of any updates and if I had a question, she was very responsive and helpful! That was a bonus to our stay, the home itself and location was perfect for us. The house was very clean and accommodated all of our needs and more! Able & Grace provides accessible vacation homes so people with mobility challenges can stay with their loved ones while traveling together. Why?

Our family loves to travel. We would have enjoyed staying in a vacation home together but found it nearly impossible to locate a home that had accessibility features for our son who uses a wheelchair. One-story homes were sometimes listed as accessible but we would learn later that there were still too many barriers in the home.
So, we set out to change that.

The disability community is the only minority group that anyone can enter at any time.
-An accident or recent surgery makes getting around more difficult but you don't want to miss out on a family vacation. We are a vacation stay band-aid when things are even temporarily difficult.
-The grandparents want to celebrate their 50th anniversary with a family reunion but don't get around as easily. We are a multigenerational stay solution.
-Parents have a child with disabilities and want to travel for vacation or to see a specialist while staying together as a family. We are here to make your stay a little easier so you can focus on what's important.
