In the heart of the Marne countryside, come discover our beautiful region, rich in cultural and culinary heritage. Our small village, with a population of 500, is nestled in the Surmelin Valley, where the river winds its way through forests, farmland, and vineyards. The river is fed by numerous springs that supply water to gardens and public spaces. The guesthouse is housed in monastic buildings dating from the 13th and 17th centuries, near the magnificent 13th-century Benedictine abbey church. Located 25 km from Épernay, the capital of Champagne, and 55 km from Reims, the city where the kings of France were crowned, there are many attractions to enhance your stay. The cottage is located on the upper floor of the building, which makes it bright and offers a view of the forest and vineyards to the north and the abbey church to the south. A terrace on the first floor is equipped with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. A 600 m² enclosed garden is available for your use, located 300 m from the cottage. You’ll have access to: - A living area with an open-concept living/dining room connected to the kitchen - 2 bedrooms, each with a 160/200 bed (which can be separated upon request to create 2 beds measuring 80/200) - A bedroom with a 180/200 double bed and a private bathroom (with toilet) - A bathroom with a washer and dryer - A separate toilet - A small TV lounge equipped with a sofa bed (sleeps 2). For your comfort, bed linens (beds made upon arrival) and utilities are included. A cleaning fee is required, and bath linens are optional at the rates indicated.
