Amish Stay Vacation Home - Bird in Hand, Lancaster PA

Come stay “amongst the Amish”. This comfortable 5-bedroom farmhouse offers you a home away from home. This home is perfect for your Amish adventure and valuable family time. Conveniently located between the villages of Bird-in-Hand and Intercourse PA, yet right in the heart of all Lancaster County attractions. You will enjoy a scenic farmland setting. A white picket fence surrounds the backyard, and there's a game room in the garage for family fun.
The 5 comfortable bedrooms await to provide you with a restful night stay. The three spacious full size bathrooms, one with a 10 jet whirlpool tub, will accommodate your family needs. A large country Flare kitchen with a cathedral ceiling will make your family meals bright and cheery. Then slip into your generous size living room, to relax or spend quality time with the family in comfort.
1st floor: bedroom with ensuite bathroom
2nd floor: 3 bedrooms & bathroom
3rd floor: bedroom with ensuite bathroom
Advertised rate is for up to 6 guests ($25 per night, per additional guest). Be sure to enter total number of guests on the booking form to get the accurate rate for your stay. The guesthouse is located on the Philadelphia Pike (rt. 340), so there is some traffic noise. The backyard looks out onto surrounding Amish farmland.
Check in is after 4 PM, check out is by 10 AM. Unfortunately we're unable to offer earlier check ins, or later check outs.

The vacation house was adequate for our church small group's quick trip to see a Sight & Sound performance. Owner thoughtfully supplied ear plugs if needed for disclosed traffic noise.

A nice farm house.with plenty of area so family can have room to some down time and space. back yours was pleasant. could not get tv to work but went on this vacation to get away from the pressure of the grind so a blessing in disguise. Good location to get where everything we wanted. to see and do,?

Overnight stay

The house is so nice, clean, well equiped kitchen, and spacious. It suited our family just fine. Nice to be able to return from sight and sound theater and be able to play cards and enjoy each other's company. We would not have been able to do this if we stayed in a hotel.

The cottage interior was not to modern standards. The road noise made to downstairs bedroom unusable.The garage play area was a great place for the kids during the rain.

Clean, well stocked, plenty of linens, blankets kitchen stuff. Great location , loved the patio.

Came to Lancaster to see site and sound. Perfect location the theater presentation was fabulous. We are walkers, we loved walking the back roads of the Amish farms.Come here and we will definitely want to stay at your property.

A 10 Star home away from home!!!

This house offers a truly comfortable and inviting atmosphere. It is in the heart of Amish community.The rooms give off a warm and restful vibe.Throughout the house , the furnitures are well organized and uncluttered, enough space for our family of 8 adults but definitely can accomodate up to 13 as per website suggests. It even has a bonus game room. Plentiful towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows were provided. Everything is meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well-stocked with a variety of supplies even though we brought our own. There were some tolerable traffic noise but they even provided us with ear plugs just in case. We had some issues with internet, Stephen, the owner, was very prompt in addressing our concerns and he went above and beyond to rectify the issues ( Thank you Stephen and David). If 10 star is available, we would definitely give it. We will surely return. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Friends get-away

Had a great time. The house fit our needs. A little dated but cozy, warm and pleasant. On a very noisy road but got used to it and it did not negatively impact our stay in anybway.

Wonderful family rest after Sight and Sound

This was just the right end to a brief stop in the area! Our extended family (8 of us) needed a place to rest and sleep following a long drive for a Sight and Sound production. This place was just right for us! There was plenty of space for all of us and it was incredibly clean. It had everything we needed and more. Thank you for letting us stay at your delightful property!

Family Trip To Dutch Wonderland

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the rental. As advertised & very very clean. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils etc. great location to all things. Check In/out times are firm so plan accordingly. House is on a major road, be prepared for loud car noise. Other than that, I would recommend!

Well-stocked Home

This was a wonderful place for Mom & 4 grown daughters to stay for a Girls Weekend! We bring food for our own meals and prefer to stay IN the entire weekend, talking and playing games. So it was very appreciated that the kitchen is well stocked for meal prep, and all manner of paper products and soap products are on hand. It is a charming old home and many finishes are well worn, so don’t expect a brand-new sterilized environment. But all the furniture was comfortable; bedrooms and baths had plenty of closets and hooks so that you can actually live comfortably during your stay (unlike some rentals). There are even a few board games in the TV hutch. (In the cold weather, we didn’t actually make it outside to the game room in the garage). The host responded very quickly when we had a minor question one evening. The property is on a busy road, but there is plenty of off-street parking for probably up to 6 cars. Just use white noise on your smartphone to muffle the traffic noise when sleeping. We all agreed we would happily stay here again!

Lancaster Overnight

8 of us stayed at this rental. We wanted to experience the nightlife of Lancaster without staying downtown. This house was more than big enough for us to all sleep comfortably. The older/Amish style felt like we were staying at our grandparents house. Instructions were clear and concise. I wish there was an option for early and late check in so we could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay here again.
