Come to the Cape named after a Queen NOT an Ugly Fish!! 🤣FABULOUS, quiet, dead end location! Incredible views of the Annisquam River. Wildlife, Boats, Paddle boards, Kayaks (bring yours) and Sunbathers. All seen from your private second floor deck as well as your Huge picture window! We can accommodate up to a 17’ boat on our Tidal Dock for an additional fee. Newly renovated apartment! Very comfortable Queen size bed, as well as a brand new pull out memory foam Full sleep sofa! There is a large Butcher Block counter with stools as well as kitchen table. New 40” flat screen smart TV. Owner occupied. Owners Deb Callahan and Paula Parsons are happy to suggest places to go, places to avoid, and respect your privacy! Laundry on the same floor.
We were on VRBO for 7 years with over 52-5 Star reviews! We stopped for 2 years because of COVID and we have decided to do this again. Sadly we lost all of our reviews by taking that break! We are happy to answer any questions you may have and hope you choose our home for making a memorable vacation experience! Thank you for viewing our post!

The view is absolutely lovely. It was a great place for us to lay our heads and have fun finding Hocus Pocus sites in the nearby Salem. The restraunts nearby are wonderful. Over all the experience was great with a very clean apartment and kind hostess'.

The apartment was amazing. The host Paula and Deb were fabulous. We truly felt so comfortable and relax there that we are 100% coming back to them. They felt like family they treat you like family and the view from the apartment is amazing at any time of the day The apartment was clean and stocked and they are so gracious to let you use their washer and dryer when needed I just absolutely love them and loved the apartment. It’s 100% a must stay at.

Wonderful getaway!

What a perfect place to stay for our holiday weekend away! So serene and relaxing. We met Deb and Paula upon arrival. The apartment has everything you need and is quite comfortable. You cannot beat the view and peacefulness at this property.

A little slice of Gloucester heaven

My getaway to Sleepy Hollow could not have been more perfect! Just what I needed to “reboot”. Everything I could have hoped for and so much more!!! Loved every minute - only wish my stay was longer. Already Looking forward to my next visit!!!❤️🌊🕶️☀️

Peaceful and cozy with gorgeous views

I was so fortunate to find this property last minute - large windows and deck with beautiful views of the water and sky, a quiet neighborhood away from traffic but still close enough to restaurants, shops, beaches; excellent hosts and clean, thoughtful accommodations. It was exactly what I was looking for and I would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely breath taking! Views were phenomenal! It was a nice quiet getaway we needed! Paula and Deb suggested great places to check out and eat, and we’re very accommodating! Waking up to the views we did will be a core memory! We were definitely sad to leave, but left feeling renewed and relaxed! We hope to be back next summer!

Exceeded Expectations

If you are looking for the perfect getaway with a fair price, look no further. This property is absolutely STUNNING and the owners, Deb and Paula, are just wonderful human beings that we were lucky enough to have several great conversations with. Our expectations were highly exceeded. The location was great, the property was clean, and it was stocked with everything we needed for our perfect vacation. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed!

A gem in Cape Ann

Paula and Deb’s newly renovated jewel of an apartment is a real find! The owners could not be more friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. The apartment is a lovely second floor open room with a wonderful view of the Annisquam River from inside as well as the private deck. We love Cape Ann and this is a gem.

Our best vacation rental ever!

We unfortunately could only stay at Snug Cottage for two nights. The apartment was beautiful and immaculate. It was equipped with anything you could possibly need (really!) The deck overlooking the river and cove was perfect for outdoor dining with a great grill. Deb and Paula were wonderful hosts and we can’t wait to go back.

Cozy with a great view!

We went for our 25th anniversary and wanted somewhere with close access to things to do. Salem at Halloween time-highly recommend. We got in from the airport late evening, but Paula still took the time to show us the property and welcome us. The apartment is very cozy, super clean, and has a huge window overlooking the water. Our hosts were great about giving us suggestions and directions. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful hosts, Beautiful view, perfect apartment, great location

Deb and Paula were informative about the area and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was perfect size, had a great private deck with chairs and table. We spent many hours sitting on the deck looking at the water, boats , and wildlife. It was very quiet and peaceful. The location was perfect as it is close to Gloucester , Rockport, and Essex. We were very happy with everything.

PICTURESQUE LOCATION

WOW, this apartment had the best view. We even saw the northern lights and a shooting star and got amazing pictures. Short ride to the train station that took you to Salem. We enjoyed our 4 nights here at Sleepy Hollow. The apartment was super clean and we would love to go back. We were nervous about talking loud/ walking around after 9pm to not wake the owners as this apartmemt is above them. They were super helpful with restaurant reccomdations and any questions we had. If you are on the fence, book it, the view alone is worth it!!!

A Peaceful Getaway

We didn't know what to expect with having the hosts on the property, but Deb and Paula were awesome! They were informative, gave us privacy, and let us know they were there if we needed them. The accommodations were very clean and had everything we needed (TP, paper towel, kleenex, dish soap and sponge, hand soap, hair dryer, napkins, etc.). The bed is comfortable (I slept like a rock). The TV has Netflix, which was an unexpected perk. The private deck is a perfect place to sit with a drink and watch the boats go by. Overall, we highly recommend this rental. It was an absolutely wonderful place to stay!

Highly Recommended

The apartment provides an expansive and constantly changing water view, a comfortable layout, well equipped kitchen, helpful and friendly owners, all convenient to everything Gloucester has to offer! There is even a water view from the bed! What more could you ask for? It is a gem of a place! Just a heads up that you won't be able to launch kayaks there but the public landing is only a few blocks away.

Relaxing stay

Wow! What a beautiful place this apartment on the Annisquam was to spend a relaxing New England vacation! We enjoyed waking up every morning to the peaceful reflections of the scenery on the river from every window of the accommodations. We had everything that we needed, and it was easy to get to anywhere we chose to visit We loved the evening sunsets when we arrived there before dark. We would enjoy coming back for a longer stay than five days. The hosts were helpful and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and anything we asked of them. It was a peaceful, beautiful respite from our normal daily life in Colorado.

Relaxing

Virginia and I stayed here in 2019, we had planned on returning in 2020 but a little thing called Covid interfered. I saw that is was listed on VRBO again so jumped at the chance. We were planning on visiting our daughter and her family in central MA anyway and decided to extend our stay at this fabulous apartment that overlooks the Bay. Since we were here last Deb and Paula made this perfect getaway for a couple even better. Its just a short drive into Gloucester and/or Rockport where there are plenty of activities. We will definitely be staying here again. Thanks again Deb and Paula for being great hosts.

Just Book It ! You will not be disappointed

Deb and Paulas apartment was the perfect choice for my recent stay in the area. The views and sunsets are absolutely spectacular! The furnishings are lovely as are the linens and well thought out kitchen, right down to the tableware. This apartment is ….IMMACULATE …..They really give it that extra touch . I could not have felt more comfortable and at home. It is close to beaches , restaurants and shopping. Deb and Paulas hospitality is gracious and genuine and they are so fabulous to chat with . I can’t wait to go back and stay again. Thank you Deb and Paula ! You two are the Best !

Immaculate and great views

We stayed 4 nights with Deb and Paula. The rental is an appartment above their home. They were gracious and involved in our check in and thoroughly explained the ammenities of the apartment and their expectations, all of which where normal and easy to respect. Upon our request, they shared their history on the property, local favorite dining opportunities and points of interest. Deb was active in her yard planting her garden ,watering her vast array of beautiful flowers, flowering shrubs (beach roses were already in bloom), and tending to her hobbies. Ever responsive when engaged, but otherwise respectful of our privacy, an elegant tightrope. The appartment was immaculate, I did not find a spect of dust or smudge. The bed was comfortable and linens top quality. They had an array of basic spices, and the usually missing paper products such as plasic wrap, foil, and zip bags. The kitchen was well stocked a variety of pots, pans and glassware. The only miss I found was a space to store pantry product brought from home (crackers rice, etc.). We made due with rearranging the cabinet with the spices; removing the lazy susan and extra glasses and ice cube trays provided the needed space. There were other opportunnites to provide move counter/staging space. Overall no complaints, just idiosyncrecies.
