Private, Pet-Friendly, Cozy Cabin - handicap accessible!

Rest, relax and restore at the Hideaway. This family and pet-friendly cabin is perfectly secluded in Forks Township, Sullivan County. The Hideaway is newly remodeled, yet maintains a rustic feel. Step outside to enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. It is not uncommon to see deer and turkeys strolling through the yard. Roast marshmallows in the outside fire pit or fish at the pond!
The Hideaway has been modified to include a ground level bedroom and bathroom with a handicap accessible shower. The cabin entryway is also equipped with a ramp for easy entry.
Sullivan County is a beautiful area with 2 state parks: World's End and Ricketts Glen.
Please Note: wifi is available at no cost, however like may rural areas, may not be the most reliable.

Lovely, very solid home. Loved fire side & porch swing. Appreciated the nice lawn space around the property & good drive way. At least one more comfy chair in living area would be nice. Overall very nice property.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend away with our dogs and my parents. The pictures did not do this cabin justice. Eveything was perfect, well kept and very cozy. The cabin had almost everything we needed. The best part about the property was the covered porch, yard and location. 10/10 cabin, we will be back for hopefully a longer stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hideaway! The house was exactly as described. The property grounds exceeded our expectations- picturesque covered porch, cozy campfire space with a view, and lots of open space to run around. We have stayed at a different property owned by Doug and Adrienne; they are always wonderful hosts. We highly recommend this Hideaway in the PA mountains!

Didnt want to leave

We had a wonderful but short stay. The toddler cried and declared it was her house now, the dog didnt want to get in the car and we all agreed we wjll be back. So much fun. Beautful land.

The Great Getaway!!!!

The Hideway was a Great place to stay!!! We enjoyed the Great Spacious property watching wildlife and our dogs roaming outside. Our Serenity now moments were at the pond. We enjoyed fishing, hearing and watching frogs and cattle nearby, watching our dogs swim! We also enjoyed rounding up two goats with owner Doug!!! 😁 Thanks Adrienne for the Great communication with us!!! Your place is Awesome!

Disappointed (cut vacation short)

We had stayed at this property in 2023 with a very good experience so we decided to go back this year 2024. We were disappointed! At the door to go into the cabin was bird shirt all over the threshold ( hard to not step in it going in and out ). We had taken our miniature cockapoo dog with and when we opened the door she immediately ran in smelling the carpets. It smelled like wet dogs. Under the couch cushions there were so many crumbs obviously the cushions had not been removed to vacuum the couch in a while. There was dog hair all over the throw pillows on the couch also. There was a dish strainer in the sink filled with dishes that had been washed and not put away. (I had to put away previous guest dishes in order to use the sink or not to look like we had left them after our stay). The window sills were disgusting. Didn’t even want to open the windows. There were spider webs and filth between the windows and the screens. There was a cover from a floor mop that was left in the washer, which I didn’t look to see if anything was in the washer, prior to putting my clothes in to wash. So needless to stay our clothes were washed with the floor mop cover! They state not to bring any fire wood with you from home but only provide enough wood for one night when we had booked a 5 day stay. We checked in on a Sat at 4 pm and ended up leaving Mon at 10am. We were never offered any refund at all for cutting our vacation short that we were looking so forward to having!

Weekend stay

Accommodations were very nice everything we needed was in the cabin the kitchen was very nicely equipped. The beds were comfortable and furnished nicely. Only downfall was no tv channels and the tv upstairs did not work. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will book again.
