On the gulf side, Cudjoe Key offers the Great White Heron National Wildlife Refuge, and just minutes from Big Pine's Key Deer. When it comes time to relax, take your choice: in the comfy living room with a flat screen television, having your favorite cocktail on your private deck, or just telling old fishing and boating stories sitting by the pool.
This community also features a large fresh water pool, children's pool and Jacuzzi facing the ocean. This is the place to take all of your daily worries away and where lifetime memories are made!

The unit was nice overall. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was clean and well maintained. The living room was comfortable also.The deadbolt did not work from the outside and it was hard to shut the front door. Sinks drained a little slow. All in all a good unit at a decent price.

Enjoyed stay at this property, loved all the amenities. Distances to different Islands were Good. Lots of good food and things to do.

Relaxing getaway

We had the best time. We used all the amenities, best part was having our boat just a few feet from the back door. Everyone was super friendly.

Wonderful

The property was clean and very welcoming. The kitchen, linen and towel cabinets were all well appointed. We had an enjoyable stay and look forward to our return next year.

Our stay

The location is wonderful! Loved sitting outside and watching the sunset. Very nice and heated community pool. My daughter loved this! The house was good. The bathroom could use an update but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at this unit was great!! With the ability to park a boat out back, we had all the ocean access we needed for diving and fishing. The house was clean and comfortable, and perfect for a get away!

Clean, comfortable and nice TV’s

Really enjoyed it. Ready on time and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. Towels were extra soft, and really nice TV’s. We would stay there again.

Great location

Great location. We went for a guys fishing trip. The marina was great and easy access to the ocean. It is a quite neighborhood. The space is tight but worked for us. We rented 3 units between 5 guys and each unit was clean.

Quiet Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at Venture Out. The location of the rental within the park is great. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the pool while we were there but it looked great. We loved the location on Cudjoe Key, close enough to Key West if you want to visit but far enough away from the crowds. You are close to all sorts of activities. We can't wait to visit again, next time for a longer stay!

The home is really nice. It was clean. It has plenty of windows. With only blinds in them. Which lets lots of heat and light into the home. I ended up putting beach towels and sheets on the front and back doors to try and keep the home cool. The average afternoon temp was in the 80s inside the unit. And the host said not to lower the thermostat past 74 degrees or the unit would freeze up. She needs to upgrade to a new unit and ductwork. Both of the bedrooms were uncomfortably warm every night. The home is at the end of a canal in Venture Out resort. A dead end that trapped the smelly, stinky, rotting sargassum. And that sargassum was full of trash and dead fish and the Venture Out front desk said that’s just too bad…. They couldn’t move the sargassum due to federal regulation. I asked if they could not just have someone remove the litter and offal from the fish carcasses the fishermen just dumped into the water. It stunk so bad that the house smelled just like outside. (Thankfully they had a huge can of spray Lysol) The back patio was not usable because of the stench. I was under the impression that VRBO included all fees when renting thru them. Only to be told upon entry of the Venture Out property that there was a 120.00 resort fee. I knew nothing of this. The owner said she sent an email. I finally found the information under her profile. Which was way too late. So, no, it’s not true that all fees are disclosed upon rental agreement.

Pool finally got up and running and Sat. became great pool day. Property should have announced pool shutdown over multiple days.

We loved the property. There were a couple of maintenance things. The front door stuck a little when unlocking. The refrigerator door does not seal properly. Great, property we will be back

Family trip

This was our first day at venture out. The resort was nice. The house we stayed in definitely needs some updates. There were a couple of things that were broken around the property. The bikes are very rusted and the handlebars are very hard to turn. I don’t know that I would really say it can sleep six people unless four of them are children. The communication with the property manager was fair at best. I received answers back on about 50% of my concerns. We would stay at venture out again, just not this particular property.

The house itself was very nice and met our expectations, with the exception of the fridge, which wasn’t cooling properly. However, that wasn’t a deal breaker. One of the deck steps was also loose, which could be a safety concern.What was truly frustrating—and not mentioned in the rental details—was the trailer parking situation. We’ve stayed at this property before and were previously able to park our boat trailer on-site without any issues. This time, however, we had to pay extra to park the trailer off-site, about 7 minutes away.This change is a deal breaker for us and would make us reconsider renting this property again.

It was a wonderful stay. Quaint, enjoyable place and location. Pool and views amazing. My only suggestion would be to figure out/upgrade the air conditioning situation. It was unfortunate to see cardboard filling in open window spaces next to the air conditioner in more than one place. It became warm when it wouldn’t have if it was properly done. Other than that simply a great little community. If you book just ask if they upgraded the cardboard boxes!

Venture Out charges a $125 registration fee upon arrival paid via cash or cc only. There is no boat trailer parking and the overflow lot for a 2nd vehicle is not guaranteed and is first come first serve and may not be reserved in advance. Starting April 1st, AT&T will begin Operation Fiberoptic VO. Three teams will swarm the park in multiple locations. Please make sure your renters are aware that there will be park-wide construction. Potholes, noise, & wifi outage will be the norm. for 4-6 weeks, while they bring us up to date. Due to ongoing upgrades inside the association some of the amenities may not be available during your stay and there maybe some interruption in electric service as repairs are made. Please contact prior to booking for approx. closure/repair dates.
