Villa con piscina en las pintorescas montañas madonias de Sicilia

En medio de un olivar se encuentra nuestra villa, Casa Mario, lejos del turismo en las montañas Madonie de Sicilia. La villa está amueblada en un estilo de casa de campo y ofrece todas las comodidades que no querría perderse en casa. La zona superior está equipada con una cocina moderna (estufa de gas, lavavajillas, horno eléctrico, cafetera italiana, nevera Bosch), dos dormitorios, sala de estar, comedor y un aseo de invitados. Una escalera externa conduce a la zona inferior, que nuevamente tiene un dormitorio con 4 camas, una pequeña cocina y un baño con ducha. Hay dos terrazas: la superior está equipada con dos sombrillas y una mesa de madera con 4 sillas y dos tumbonas. La terraza inferior está cubierta, tiene una mesa de piedra de lava con 8 sillas, una parrilla de ladrillo, un sofá con una mesa y un pequeño armario para platos, cubiertos y vasos. En medio del amplio jardín (1 hectárea), rodeado de árboles frutales, palmeras y olivos, se encuentra la piscina (10 x 5 metros) a unos 100 metros de la terraza inferior. Hay cuatro tumbonas, una canasta Dedon, así como un grupo de sofás con sombrillas y un toldo. La piscina se llena con agua salina y se suministra automáticamente con los productos químicos respectivos.

Sehr schön gelegenes Haus mit guter Ausstattung. Ruhige Lage unweit von Caltavuturo. Ideal zum Relaxen am großen Pool oder erkunden der Umgebung (Palermo kann z.B. einfach mit der Bahn ab Campofelice erreicht werden, Cefalu und Agrigent sind auch nicht zu weit entfernt). Unkomplizierte Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin und sehr engagierte Hausbetreuung vor Ort. Eine sparsame Wasserverwendung wird empfohlen.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche in diesem traumhaften Ferienhaus. Der große Pool war ein echtes Highlight, dazu die wunderschöne Aussicht und der liebevoll gestaltete Außenbereich mit mehreren gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten und tollen Außenmöbeln – alles wirkte sehr stimmig und einladend. Auch drinnen ist das Haus geschmackvoll eingerichtet und strahlt sofort Wohlfühlatmosphäre aus.Der Check-in und Check-out verliefen völlig unkompliziert und freundlich, der Service (inklusive Poolreinigung) war top, und der Kontakt zur Inhaberin war jederzeit herzlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus liegt in einer sehr ruhigen, dörflichen Gegend – perfekt zum Entspannen, allerdings ist ein Auto unbedingt zu empfehlen.Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!

Gorgeous, better than could have been expected

This lovely gem in the Madonie mountains was better than we could have imagined. The house was gorgeous. The nearby village of Caltavaturo was charming and the surrounding country side was beautiful. We felt lucky to have found this spot, it was our favorite spot in our two week stay in Sicily. We hope to return and stay longer, 3 nights was not long enough. Our host was extremely helpful and accommodating.

A fabulous stay in the Sicilian mountains

This was a really fabulous week in Caltavuturo. Susanne has a created a welcoming and beautifully styled home and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. There are many hidden places around the property to relax, whether it’s by the pool, on the terrace on the long outdoor sofa or upstairs on the terrace outside the main apartment. The kitchen is really well stocked with appliances. There are two fridges so plenty of storage space. The Weber grill was perfectly clean and easy to use. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and nice and cool with AC. We had a couple of minor problems which were swiftly resolved by the Susanne and her wonderful helpers, Leah and Vincenzo. They couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful. Overall, this was a lovely holiday with our kids who are 9 & 11. It would also be really suitable for slightly older kids who would have space to roam. If I had any hesitation at all it would be the amount of driving required as the property really is quite remote, but that was also a benefit so we could have a quiet week. I am sure we will be back and thank you to Susanne again for a lovely stay.

Heerlijk huis op een prachtige lokatie! Verschillende terassen om van de zon en het uitzicht te genieten met een serieus groot zwembad. Caltavuturo is een gezellig Siciliaans dorpje.We werden met open armen ontvangen bij de plaatselijke winkeltjes en restaurantjes. Echt onthaasten en vakantie vieren zo!

Unique rural experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa. It was a great location, close to the lovely community of Caltavuturo. The host provided very useful recommendations about the property, dining, shopping and other activities. The shops in town were great, including the butcher, the bakery and the pasticceria, not to mention the chef and team at AlterEgo restaurant. The villa was well appointed, it offered a number of areas within and outside the property to relax and enjoy the views and experience. We would highly recommend this location for people who want a quiet getaway, yet close enough for day trips to the coast, etc. Thank you.

Wonderful location

This house was a rural location with a stunning view of the mountains. The house was large and was equipped with everything you would need including a fantastic swimming, unfortunately it was too cold for us to enjoy. Small town nearby had excellent restaurants and a great morning coffee shop. We can't say enough about the hosts who gave us great directions to nearby restaurants and places of interest. They recommended and made a reservation for us and a small Michelin restaurant in a tiny town in the mountains. It was the highlight of the trip.

Phantastisches Haus

Das Haus liegt ein klein wenig außerhalb von Caltavuturo in absoluter Ruhe mit weiten Blicken in das Naturschutzgebiet Madonie. Die Ausstattung ist sehr hochwertig und sogar noch besser, als beschrieben! In dem großen Pool kann man sich wunderbar erfrischen und richtige Bahnen ziehen! Dort, wie überall draußen, sind sehr schöne Liegen und Lounge-Möbel inkl. Schirmen. Morgens und abends waren wir immer auf der Terrasse oben, mittags auf der unteren, überdachten Terrasse im Schatten. Wir kochen sehr gerne und haben in der Küche nichts vermisst - auch hier alles top, top, top! Die Vermieter reagieren bei Fragen sehr schnell und geben auf Wunsch gerne Tipps. Caltavuturo ist ein nettes Städtchen, wo man alles zum Leben einkaufen kann. Wir hatten in der Casa Mario ein wunderbare Zeit und haben nur bereut, dass wir nach 3 Wochen wieder abreisen mussten. Herzlichen Dank, Frau Reinert!

Paradies in den Bergen

Das Haus ist groß, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und super ausgestattet. Der Garten ist paradiesisch am Hang gelegen und bietet einen schönen Blick über die Hügel. Wir hatten viel Spaß im und am großen Pool! Caltavuturo ist ein wunderbares Bergdorf, welches sich lohnt zu erkunden und die Köstlichkeiten in den Cafés, Bäckereien Metzgereien zu entdecken. Unsere Zeit hier haben wir sehr genossen und wir haben uns sehr gut erholt; wir kommen gerne wieder. Ein Highlight war unser Besuch der Terrazza Costatino in Sclafani Bagni - unbedingt reservieren!

Beautiful property in stunning location

We had a fabulous time in the villa and as soon as we arrived wished we had booked for longer. It is a truly lovely property, very well looked after and loved by the owners who were helpful, attentive but also respected our privacy. It is secluded which means you need to drive to beaches but they are not far away and we chose this location because it suited us. Caltavuturo has all the amenities you need and has many lovely cafes and bars. It’s a pretty and relaxed town with not much English spoken but again that was exactly what we wanted! A perfect holiday for us.

Paradies in den Bergen

Das Haus liegt sehr schön in den Bergen. Von der obersten Terrasse kann man das gesamte Tal überblicken und Nachts sieht man einige Sternschnuppen, wir haben noch nie so viel Sterne gesehen. Sehr angenehm ist der Temperaturunterschied von ca. 8 Grad zu tiefer gelegenen Orten. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Alles vom Feinsten. Das größte Highlight ist der Pool. Hier gibt es diverse Möglichkeiten sich zu entspannen. Es befinden sich mehrere Liegen am Pool auch eine schöne Sonneninsel und eine Outdoor-couch. Natürlich alles mit Sonnenschirmen. Bei Nacht lässt sich der Pool in verschiedenen Farben beleuchten. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gut beleuchtet, ist auch notwendig bei der Größe. Auch der Garten ist riesig, wer mal einen kleinen Snack möchte, der findet hier Äpfel, Birnen, Feigen und Trauben. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, zum ersten mal bei einem Italienurlaub hatten wir einen Kaffeevollautomat, top! Das ganze Haus ist sehr gut eingerichtet und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Man kann sich oben auf der Terrasse, in der Mitte auf der überdachten Terrasse oder unten am Pool aufhalten. Wer Entspannung pur möchte, der ist hier an der richtigen Adresse. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und können auch hilfreiche Tipps geben. Wir könnten uns vorstellen, daß wir nächstes Jahr unseren Urlaub wieder hier verbringen.

Wunderbarer Urlaub

Gesamteindruck: Wunderschönes Haus mit riesigem Pool in traumhafter Lage und sehr netten, zuvorkommenden Gastgebern. Bereits vor Reiseantritt gab es umfangreiche Informationen zum Haus, der Gegend, Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und der Anfahrt ab Flughafen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich durch den Hausherrn in Empfang genommen und in das Haus sowie den nahe gelegenen Ort Caltavuturo eingewiesen. Die Lage des Hauses in den Bergen (ca. 700m Höhe) bedingt, dass es kühler ist, als am Meer. Dies ist jedoch in den Sommermonaten sehr angenehm. Es weht tagsüber stets eine leichte Brise, die für Abkühlung sorgt. Wir haben das frische Obst aus dem hauseigenen,, sehr gepflegten Garten genossen und stundenlang von der Terrasse und dem Pool aus die Seele beim Blick auf das Tal baumeln lassen. Auf den beiden beiden Terrassen (eine davon überdacht) gibt es genügend Möglichkeiten zu verweilen, zu speisen sowie Spiele- und Grillabende zu veranstalten. Unsere Kinder und wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen.

Stunning!

Fantastic stay at the gorgeous Casa Maria. Absolutely stunning location and the locals are really friendly. The owners were friendly and welcoming and the olive oil is gorgeous! The pool area and veranda are fabulous and we found it very difficult to move from there. Would highly recommend this 5* property.

Wonderful villa, helpful hosts and an amazing week!

We have just returned from a fantastic week in this wonderful, high quality villa. The villa itself is extremely well equipped and spacious with everything you could need. The outside space is beautiful, everything has been so tastefully put together, the extensive grounds very well maintained and the views are amazing. The pool is a great size and we all enjoyed being able to have a proper swim! There was also a lovely and very welcome breeze (especially after coming from 3 days in Catania). Caltavuturo is a great town: excellent independent bakers, butchers, grocers and bars and cafes. Bar Siragusa was a particular favourite of ours for breakfast, ice cream and coffee. It was lovely to meet Susanne and Rene on arrival who were extremely welcoming and helpful. This really is a spectacular property where we had the most wonderful relaxing week. We had a wonderful 2 week stay in Caltavuturo. The house was very comfortable and we especially enjoyed the outside area. The pool was a great success with our kids as there was no chlorine! Peaceful stay and the small town is great to shop daily in for all your fresh food items. Everyone was so friendly. Our hosts couldn’t be more helpful during our stay and it was lovely to meet them.

A wonderful place you will never forget

Casa Mario is awesome, a really wonderful place near Caltavuturo, a little village. We (family of 5) have been in this charming house in Juli 2019 an did not miss anything. Even on our rainy day we felt home. We specially liked the pool with the great mountain view and the smooth wind. You will not miss the beach there. Caltavuturo is a charming little village with everything you need during your vacation. Casa Mario is an ideal place to visit Palermo, the Etna region and Cefalú. Beautiful house in the mountains

If you’re looking for a quiet place a long way away from the touristy towns by the ocean - this is it. And the small village of Caltavuturo is charming, after only a few days everyone knows the foreigners and you get that extra treat at the bakery or vegetable stand! The house itself is beautiful and the veranda and pool area superb. Any problem that occured, our hosts took care of right away.

Sicily at It's Very Best!

The rental was our last of four during our three weeks in Italy in early June 2019. The goal was to find something a bit off the beaten path and Casa Mario exceeded our expectations. The villa is located only a short distance from the town of Caltavuro, which had shops and a few restaurants. But the country location and the amazing views of the farms and hills to the west are what we liked the most. And the swimming pool didn't hurt - especially when it got very warm in the afternoons of the last two days we were there. We were also lucky to be introduced to the property by the owners, who are clearly passionate about this location and this wonderful villa. We would certain stay at Casa Mario again if we return to this part of Sicily.

Peaceful, lovely and gorgeous

We had a very relaxing time. The house is lovely, the pool is gorgeous and the local area is fascinating and beautiful. You can still travel to beaches and historical sites in Sicily from the house - but most days you'll find it hard to leave! The local town is a working town and full of lovely local shops and is very warm and inviting. We can really recommend this villa.

Beautiful place were you really can relax, refreshing swimming pool with a beautiful view on the mountains. The village is nearby. We loved it!

For many years, my husband and I have been uge fans of Italy and together with our daughters we lived in Florence for a few years. When we first came to Sicily, it was love at first sight and in the same year we bought the Casa Mario and extensively renovated it in the following years. We try to spend as much time as possible in Sicily and so far all our friends and also our family members are enthusiastic about our house.

We fell in love with this house, because it is far away from tourism but still in a picturesque landscape. The small town Caltavuturo has the best ice cream parlor in the world and all the inhabitants are friendly and nice. You are in half an hour by the sea or in 45 minutes by car in the beautiful port city of Cefalu. To go to Palermo you need about 1 hour by car, to Catania about 1.5 hours. If you are looking for peace and quiet from the stressful everyday life, you will find it in our house.

Sometimes after a stressful working day, I try to think about sitting on my terrace in Caltavuturo and immediately I feel relaxed. Here you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the landscape.The light and colors are fantastic here and the summer evenings are pleasant and not as hot as by the sea. There are almost no mosquitoes and so you can spend the evenings and nights in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
