Pet friendly beach cottage a short 2 block walk from the ocean. Three bedrooms and 1 bath that comfortably sleeps 6. Recently renovated with granite countertops, new floors, and fresh paint everywhere. Large lot with plenty of room to play and run your dogs. It has a large screened front porch to sit to enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the ocean. There are 2 queen beds and 1 full bed. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is a washer and dryer. Bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels provided.

Walk to numerous restaurants, bars, shops, dog park, public tennis courts and playground.

We are dog friendly with a $75 pet fee.

You can’t find a better property: Clean, great location, all the amenities for your stay, great owners that take pride in their property and who are very communicative. Great rental!

Everything about our stay was fantastic! The rental was exactly as described and communication throughout the process was excellent. This house was perfect for our family -- and we loved relaxing on the adorable porch. And we loved the location, as it was about 3 blocks away from not only the beach, but all the great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Love the house! Great location

Well appointed clean beach cabin, a few blocks from restaurants in a quiet section of Surfside one block from the library, pickleball courts, and dog park. Beautiful live oaks and large yard to park extra vehicles in. Two or three minute slow stroll to the beach.Screen porch awesome place to hang out.

Amazing place

Very clean and organized place, check in was easy and quick. The porch was very nice and it seemed like everything was new and clean. We spent a lot of time out there in the evening. Quick walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. The host always answered any questions in a timely manner. The beach chairs that are provided with the house were very nice and convenient since we forgot ours. The inside of the house was also nice, clean, and had a great smell to it unlike some of the other places I’ve stayed at recently. Plenty of room for me and my friends and we all had very comfortable beds.

Wonderful Beach Getaway

My husband and I wanted a nice relaxing fall vacation and this place did not disappoint! The place was a walking distance to not only the beach, but also to some local restaurants. We were even able to bring our fur baby, our yellow lab Remi, with us! We loved walking around especially early morning and evening with Remi and most restaurants had outside seating to allow dogs! The house was nice and clean with plenty of room for friends or kids to come along. Rodney was a great host and recommended this great breakfast place you have got to try, Benjamin’s! We will definitely be coming back to this place, not too busy and walkable is a nice change of pace for us.

The Facts

Pros: Location and owner communication. Sink, toilet, and shower very clean. Cons: House was built in 1957 and has Asbestos siding on the outside. Horrible smelling inside. We had to wash all clothes worn and unworn when we got home. Everything absorbed the smell of the house. Cabinets also smelled terrible. The floor was sagging everywhere which leads me to assume plywood underneath is rotting. Beds worn out. Went to vacuum (mainly because dog toys were picking up everyone else's dog's hair and dirt) and canister had never ever been emptied. FYI - we had 3 non-shedding dogs. 1 Schnoodle and 2 Shih-tzus. Dog hair and dirt packed in vacuum hose which I emptied cannister and picked hair and dirt out of hose by hand. Disgusting. Cushions on front porch so gross wouldn't sit on. Walls in bathroom had dust/dirt bunnies hanging on them. TV losing internet connection annoying, not that we watched it much. Bring your own beach chairs. The ones there were rusty and could snag or tear your bathing suit carrying them. Mat on front porch covered in dog hair. I realize it's a dog friendly rental, but that means extra cleaning necessary not less. I really didn't want to even leave a review, but I felt an honest review was warranted. I tried very hard to list facts above and not too many opinions, but here is my last thought and opinion. Land is worth more than house. House needs a match or bulldozer. Pictures don't show true condition especially inside.

Surfside Cottage

Absolutely charming cottage, well appointed and terrific location. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay for a couple of days during our transition to our new home in South Carolina.. We wish we could have stay there longer.

Friend's reunion

It was a perfect size, clean, ideally located house. Wife and I and two dogs enjoyed house porch, and short walk to and from public beach access. Sufficient amenities and exactly as described.

Adorable Cottage

We really enjoyed our very short stay at this sweet little cottage. The cottage has a vintage feel on the outside but updated kitchen and the best shower pressure I have ever had at a rental! It is a very short walk to "downtown" Surfside, which makes walking to the restaurants possible. A lovely screened porch with comfy chairs was the best way to end the day! Definitly would stay again.

Great Vacation - Excellent location, cottage, and value

My wife and I booked a last minute vacation in mid April here with our senior dog and had a great stay. The cottage was clean and exactly what we wanted. We spent a most all of our time on the excellent screened in porch or at the beach. The restaurants and bars are great right around the corner and the host was communicative and friendly. We will certainly be back! Thank you!

Rodney grew up vacationing at Garden City and Surfside Beach. After graduating from Clemson in Computer Engineering he landed in Clover SC just south of Charlotte with his wife Rachel and four children. We spend many long weekends at the house as well as renting it out to beach and ocean lovers. We liked it so much that we have purchased and rent out a townhouse and a condo within three blocks of this location as well. If you are looking for additional space and/or dates please ask us about our other places, and we hope you enjoy Surfside Beach as much as we do!

This house is in a perfect location. One block away is Fuller Park with pickleball courts, a farmers market, a dog park, library, fenced in shaded playground, and tennis courts. Three blocks away sits the new Surfside Beach Fishing Pier and several great restaurants like River City Cafe, Pizza Hyena, lots of ice cream shops, and Neal & Pam’s if you like live bands and karaoke. There is indoor and outdoor seating at most venues. These restaurants are an easy 5 minute walk from our cottage. Coastal Carolina University is within 15-20 minutes drive, and the Murrell’s Inlet marsh walk and restaurant scene is less than 10 minutes away for those who love fresh seafood and beautiful marsh views. Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park are also a short 15 minute drive away. If you love art, history, and gardening you really need to give Brookgreen Gardens a look. Tickets purchased are good for 1 week, so you can go back more than once during your stay. Huntington Beach has quiet uninhabited beaches with many sea turtle nesting sites. It is one of the prettiest stretches of beach you can walk and relax at in all the Carolinas, with very few crowds at any time. If you are in town for a Myrtle Beach event the house is also just a short 15-20 minute drive up to the Grand Strand. The beach is lovely and dog friendly with leashes required. The neighborhood is very safe and walkable. It is a mixture of residential and rental properties.
Bikes and golf carts can be rented at many local establishments. Fishing gear can be purchased up on the pier, and the Garden City pier two miles south has live bands and karaoke at night on the weekends. Many beautiful golf courses are within driving distance as well. The Prestwick Country Club course designed by Pete and P.B. Dye is less than 10 minutes drive, or for a par 3 course and driving range one can go to Tupelo Bay which is only 5 minutes away.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This house sits on a quiet corner of Surfside Beach bordered by beautiful live oak trees. From the front yard you can see the beach access just a short 2 minute stroll away. There are only 4 steps to enter the house which sits on one level. The interior has a kitchen/living room and three bedrooms which include two queen beds and 1 full bed. There is a full bathroom and a well stocked kitchen. The front porch is screened in with plenty of seating and a newly epoxied floor. The yard is quite large. Please feel free to park extra vehicles, trailers, and golf carts in the back and side yard. Bed linens, bath towels, beach towels, and 2 beach chairs are provided. When our children were young we used to drive to Surfside Beach pier to watch fireworks on July 4th, dreaming that one day we would own a place at this sweet family and dog friendly beach. We fell in love with this house and hope you make as many good memories there as we have over the years.
