Incredibly kind and responsive hosts. Very peaceful location next to a pond and walking paths, close to shopping, and convenient to DC. All the amenities we needed for a lengthy stay. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a great way to experience Washington, DC. The apartment was just what we needed.

This was a great getaway for our family. The owner was so very helpful with bus shuttles and train schedules. I would recommend this property to my friends and family.

Very acommodating

Host was incredibly flexible and very quick to reapond. Property was a basement dwelling with a kitchenette and washer/dryer. Perfect location, quite neighborhood.

The host was extremely gracious and made my mom dinner while we were out of town in New York for a couple of days during our stay. I had made other arrangements for her while we were away since my mom does not drive but the host went above and beyond. The walking trails around the property were wonderful, we walked 3 miles pretty much every morning that we were there around the wooded trails. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio with the view of the pond behind the house.

Easy, cozy and private

We were close to numerous fun activities (Air Space Musem, historical sites, wineries) There was also a small shopping center conveniently near. The lake is lovely and there is a nice seating area and walking path. The neighborhood was very quiet and the hosts were very nice, accomodating, and super prompt with all communications.

Convenient and quiet

This property was a great place to stay for my family of four. As advertised the basement apartment was private, with a separate entrance and a nice patio to sit on in the morning while having coffee. It was convenient 15-20 minute drive to the rail station which made it easy and stress free to get into Washington DC (another 50 minute train ride but who wants to drive in the traffic and find a parking spot). Overall, I enjoyed staying here much more than in a hotel room.

A lovely quiet spot

A perfect place to stay…no noise, a quiet pond to walk around, nature moments to calm the soul. As a seasoned traveler, I bring items I like to have with me, like soap, etc. The only soap available was dish soap in the kitchen so I was glad to have mine. Also , there were no wash cloths or hand towels, but about 8 bath towels which we had to use in the kitchen! All that said, we would return for the ambience outside.

Hosts were very nice but unit underwhelming

Very restrictive about guests and we would like to have had our daughter and family over for a visit or hike around the pond. Would have been nice to be able to control temperature in the unit.

Nice place!

Overall, the stay was very good! Very friendly host and lots of personal touches. We were comfortable and received what we expected. One issue we had was that we were unable to adjust the temperature in the area we were staying in. Also, just as an fyi to anyone staying there, the parking is street only and limited spots. Also, in case it is not evident to people looking to stay here, it is a basement of the house, so you can hear the owners upstairs walking, water running, etc. Overall, the noise level was excellent during night time hours and moderate during day time hours.

Lousy Place

This is a basement apartment. You can hear everything going on upstairs such as, people walking, the dishwasher, talking and watching T.V.. Also, the place wreaked of garlic for hours from whatever they cooked. Furthermore, the smaller bed is in a weird place, between the bathroom door and washing machines. Lastly, there is a video camera watching what goes on on the back patio.

Thank you for your review you should include how you left my house one day early before your booking date taking my key leaving soda bottle pizza box on bed ,throwing trash on the floor when I called you you did not answer your phone Verbo calling you to bring my keys back finally when I called you to have you last chance to bring the key I was already called police and reported the incident they they to try to call you one more time I was very scared I have my rental without key door was open .when I text you that I called police. your wife came back running to my back yard and throw the key on the back yard that was very bad experience to have you in my house also you had 40 bound dog with not including your dog in the booking to avoid dog fee when Verbo asked you to pay dog fee you did not answer Verbo calls or email

So sorry about this one

The property was wonderful and the host was professional. There was a serious miscommunication with my little brother's friends. Someone said there was going to be a party, and that was not true. Way too many of them showed up at the property and the host was well within her right to cancel. None of them ever went inside, and they all left the property immediately. Once again, I would work with Mai again. This was our fault.
