Just OK

When we arrived we were given a door keypad code that did not work. The lockbox to retrieve keys was not upstairs; it was a box that the code did not work. We finally searched all of the property and found a box downstairs to retrieve keys. Meanwhile 2 of us were calling property manager to try to get instructions to get in. We did not hear back for quite some time (hours after finally getting in). The house never got cooler than 86 degrees. There was a box fan for 1 bedroom and we purchased another for the other bedroom. The refrigerator was not cold and no ice when we arrived. We called on these issues as well. They did send a handyman to check the AC and he changed the completely black air filter and said he doubts this would help much as it was an OLD system. Overall, the house was clean, not enough dishes in the kitchen to cook with for 4 people. We had to purchase a grate to use the grill as it was disgusting. The proximity to the beach was nice though. Feel like we should get a partial refund due to all of the difficulties, delays and discomfort.

Terrible

Pictures depict something idyllic. The reality is far removed: 1. Refrigerator does not work. 2. Main bathroom does not close and remains wide open facing the kitchen. 3. Ensuite bathroom toilet clogged. People need to avoid this trap.

Nice Memorial Day weekend

Pros: Location is great, a short walk from the beach, short drive to Seawall Blvd restaurants and attractions. Decor is pleasant and cheerful. The fenced yard was great for our dogs. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, silverware, utensils, and cookware. The outdoor shower is convenient. Cons: The keypad lock on the door is one of the most annoying contraptions ever. It would either let us in the door on the first try or it would take 7 tries. The AC struggled to keep the house below the upper 70s in the afternoon, and the second bedroom did not have a ceiling fan. Overall it was a nice stay. The house is comparable to other beach and river houses we have stayed in and we would consider staying there again.

Not for Summer Stay

The house looks like a nice place, but the A/C does not cool the house down. It was 80 degrees and the thermosat was set to 74. The house never cooled down until 3am then bounced right back up to 80 degrees. The dryer doesn't heat to dry clothes. I had to go to a laundramat to dry 2 loads of clothes because I didn't catch it before I started the second load. I would not recommend this house to anyone.

Family weekend

The property itself was very nice, and the right size and location for our needs. But, it was very dirty when we arrived- dirty towels under both sinks, plastic forks and empty water bottles laying around. And someone had a party before us because the trash can was full of balloons and the strings to hold them still tied to the furniture inside. Also, the closet door was broken and so were the blinds. I immediately took pictures and call the property management company and left a message. I called back the next morning and left a message. No one ever returned by calls during our stay.

Poorly maintained

The location and cleanliness of the house itself were very good. However the air conditioning was not adequate to the point of being uncomfortable the whole time. The lawn had not been mowed in weeks. We could not enjoy the yard. The garbage cans had a very toxic odor even after the garbage had been picked up. It would be a nice place to stay if they would maintain it properly. It was not worth the very expensive price. I would not stay here again.

Nice stay in Bermuda Beach

We enjoyed our few days in Bermuda Beach. The property was nice and comfortable. The Rental process was easy. We didn’t need to contact the property manager during our so not sure about that process. We would definitely stay here again.

Definitely coming back!

It was a perfect getaway for my family. My wife and four kids, ages 8-13, had a blast! Easy beach access, great location, and beautiful home. We hope we can get this one every year and make a family tradition!

Nice place but unsatisfactory fees and communication

We stay in several vrbos and this is our first time to leave a place feeling, well robbed. The good. The place is very nice and spacious. It is clean and comfortable. The deck is very nice and you can enjoy the beach waves even though you are on the second row back from the beach. The place is very well equipped with everything you need to cook and enjoy the beach. The cons. The place says remodeled, but the counter tops need redone. Cracked and screws are seen. The couch needs replacing due to wear. Seems dirty but looks more worn than not cleaned. The beach is close but you need your vehicle to drive down to it unless you want to walk around the block to get to it. We got a golf cart which made it much easier. Now the bad. The mamagement did not return calls or emails in a timely manner. Also, you can take the rate they display and practically double it for a Nightly stay. Again, the fees were unfair and extremely high. The Nightly rate was deceptive and again, the property management is unresponsive. This is why we can't recommend this place.

Great Getaway Spot with Family

We had a great time at the Bermuda Bungalow, it had everything we needed and was walking distance to the beach. The evenings in the outside deck/balcony were enjoyable.

Nice location and ease to the beach

Nice location, dog friendly and close walk to the beach. Nice covered deck. I know it’s hard to keep a rental looking good, but the door was rusted and the kitchen countertops need to be replaced. We enjoyed our weekend.

Great size for our family of 4.

Wonderful view of the Gulf of Mexico even though it is located on the second row, still just a few steps to the beach. Beach was more secluded than we thought it would be. Nice quiet nieghborhood. Perfect size for our family vacation of 4. We took our son and daughter-in-law with us to enjoy Galveston. Bermuda Bungalow is a little way out of town but worth the short drive to be more secluded from all the crowds and beach goers. We enjoyed how we were all together yet the bedrooms were seperate enought that we did not disturb one another. Loved the table and chairs out on the deck for morning coffee and fabulous views of the beach along with its wonderful cool breeze. We had the most amazing time on our vacation. We would rent this house again in a heart beat.
