For the most part, the condo was fine. The only issues we had was the cable wasn't working in the kids bedroom and the shower in the master bath smelled a little musty. However, I had a number of issues with the management company, Vtrips:1. After I made the reservation, I contacted them to ask if this unit included a covered spot in the garage. It took 3 additional emails and 2 phone calls to finally get an answer. 2. When I arrived and discovered the cable wasn't working in one of the rooms, they told me they would notfiy their operations dept. and have someone take a look. Nobody ever showed up. 3. I realized when I got home (a couple hours after I checked out) that a toiletry bag and electric toothbrush had been left behind. I contacted them and they said nobody could find them, but the only people that had gone into the place was the cleaning staff. There are many condos to stay at Diamond Beach. Find one not managed by VTrips.

Return to the island

Was just a short visit but overall enjoyable. This apartment was clean and functional however the building is showing its age. Rather strange layout with lobby and indoor pool on the second floor and the need for a different wrist band every day. Nothing to complain about but not sure I would go back. I have stayed at better places on the island that are better located and nicer facilities.

This condo was really clean and exactly as pictured. Plenty of space for the 5 of us (2 adult kids and 1 teen). Extra bath towels took awhile to find inside the dresser. The condo had 2 boogie boards which we all enjoyed. The master shower was so spacious and had regular and rain shower heads! Loved sitting on the balcony and watching/listening to the waves. The gym and game room were great, the games, lazy river, and pool were awesome and definitely worth the price. I’d recommend bringing beach chairs, gym towels, and all seasonings /oils needed for cooking. We’d definitely stay here again! Dishwasher took a few tries to get it to start. My one complain is the “window” in the master bedroom lets light in from the pool lights at night. It would be nice to have a curtain there.

Just make sure you bring everything with you, salt, pepper, spices, hand soap,…. nothing is left from previous visitors.

Nice stay

The property was clean and well kept. Everything was as described in the listing. Checkin/out was easy and the amenities of the complex were very nice. There was beach access and we were close to Moody Gardens, the strand and many restaurants. The only negatives were the washing machine was moldy and the toilet in the primary bathroom was leaking. We did reach out to the owner and they said they would send someone, but the toilet was never fixed. It worked, it just pooled water on the floor all week.

Just OK!

The property was great!! So much for the kids to do and a perfect location for getting around the island. The problem was the unit we stayed in! Washer didn’t work and the shower head in the master was solid mold! Furniture in the family room was dirty or stained. Sheets didn’t fit the bed’s properly and the trash can in the kitchen was broken! Other then those few things it was a good week! We will be back but will get different unit!

Appliance failure

Refrigerator was not working so we had a tiny one to use, dish washer had water standing in it so unable to use, washer looked like it had never been cleaned. I feel like this unit should not have been rented.

Enjoyable condo for a fun weekend

We were in Galveston to celebrate prom and graduation for our son and some friends. The weather was terrible but fun was still had by all! This condo is well maintained, clean and nicely equipped. Diamond Beach has great amenities to entertain guests in even the wettest weather. The check-in process was super easy, parking was ample and the staff is kind and professional. I highly recommend this property.

things need to be fixed

mold in bathroom. sliding door does not lock. one side of sink close to walk in, in master does not run hot water. Kitchen sink doent run hot water had to get under sink to turn off. Then someone came into room left there towels.

Fantastic location, but a few issues

Fantastic location. Fun pool and lazy river. The unit is beautiful. We had a great time! BUT 1)Upon checking in, our 2nd room/elevator key fob was not available until 22 hours later, even after a phone call and 3 trips to the lobby asking for it. 2)We were not told beforehand that the water slide was closed. 3)The front loading washing machine had mold, so we did NOT want to use it. 4)The master bedroom has plenty of drawers but NO closet for hanging clothes, which some occupants might not care about. 5)The latch to the balcony did not fully lock the door.

Fun Christmas vacation at the beach.

Second time to go to Diamond Beach and loved it both times. There was a mix-up with the unit we booked, but Ryson Vacation Rentals and Diamond Beach were quick to take care of the problem and graciously offered us some nice amenities as an apology for the error. We will definitely go again.
