Welcome to Sail La Víe! This is a 650 square foot 1 king bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment located in a restored Victorian home (3 units total) in the East End Historic District of Galveston. With a French Quarter theme, the apartment is dog friendly (1 dog up to 25 pounds) and just steps from Historic Downtown Galveston! If you don't want to eat at one of the numerous restaurants within walking distance you can cook yourself a meal in the fully stocked kitchen or grill outside on the gourmet Viking grill.

Our off beach location can't be beat for a Historic island trip. Located in and surrounded by 100+ year old mansions, just 3 blocks from the Historic trolley station that can take you to the seawall for $1. Don't forget to do the free tree carving tour!

Our lengthy list of ammenities include luxury soaps, full linens (towels, wash cloths, hand towels, sheets, blankets, dish towels), king bed on a sleigh frame, 58" Samsung Smart TV with Netflix and broadcast channels (or put in your Hulu, HBO max, Disney plus, ect...), to iron board and iron, coffee for a weekend or to start out your longer trip, fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to cook along with a spice rack/grinders, Viking outdoor grill, free shared washer/dryer, outdoor shower and outdoor furniture on both private and shared spaces. We even have beach chairs, towels, and some other beach ammenities available.

Beautiful home in a cool neighborhood

This was such a fun property and location. Everything we needed was in the home and thought of. Very clean and accommodating. So many things to do right near the house. We loved riding and walking around to admire the homes. The hosts thought of everything and we especially appreciated the website they created with more information about the property and area. Highly recommend this home for a memorable and special get-a-way to Galveston. We can’t wait to make a return visit!

Pleasurable and Peaceful

A family wedding weekend, this location was perfect. Enjoyed walking through neighborhoods.Clean white towels, bed was clean and comfy.Enjoyed the extra space rather than a hotel. Kitchen worked nicely for some food prep. Staying in a pre/hurricane original also was a pleasure.

Place was just as described. Very close to Strand and lots of great places to eat/visit. Host was very accommodating as we had to change our dates at the last minute. Would stay here again.

Annual beach getaway

Overall it was great. The house was spacious enough for two, and very clean. The neighborhood was safe to walk to nearby areas. We enjoyed being equally close to the beach and to the Strand. I was not happy that there wasn’t a washing machine (as stated in the listing on Vrbo), and the back patio/garden was not a relaxing area, Also, checking in at 4pm is a bit late for out-of -towners, and checking out by 10am is very early.

If you like affordable, Clean! And comfy Bed!! This is it!

This condo is Great!! You won’t be sorry!! This place has everything you need, kitchen,fridge COFFEE! It was very good! The shower is amazing good hot water!! Nice big screen! Comfy sofa! And a BED that makes you sleep so great and very comfortable! It perfectly Located to all the area attractions and restaurants!! The host is amazing and check in with us during our stay and was also helpful in recommending some good restaurant’s!! I will rent again just based on the service!!

Cozy, Convenient location, Great Communication

The unit had a very cozy feel to it. It was perfect for two people looking to relax for the weekend. The owners were great at communicating and provided everything one might need for a weekend getaway. The place was well kept and had a lovely courtyard in the back. Conveniently located (just a few blocks away from the historic district) and close to downtown was a plus.

Excellent Property!

We were so pleased with the property. It was very clean and everything was provided for. Karlsen was very responsive and everything he told us was spot on. The weather was gorgeous and we found walking to most places was quite easy. The neighborhood was also very quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect spot

The house was perfect, and so charming. The location was excellent to the Strand area, where my family lives. A very easy walk with no issues. The owner had excellent customer service and such a fast response. The whole process was smooth and this certainly will be our spot when we go back in a few months. We had a rental car and never any issues with parking, even at night after being out. Thank you for a great weekend!

Great Respite

The hosts have thought of every detail for home away from home whilst on vaca mode. Very comfortable, great convenience to the Strand in Galveston and quiet walkable neighborhood. I am a foodie- (had meals planned and prepped) therefore, I was planning on grilling, however was disappointed as the grill was not fully functional. We were able to pull it off, just took a little longer. We will definitely be back. We live in Houston and were looking for a spot at the beach and have found it ;-) I work remotely so am planning in returning to work from home/beach for a week this summer. Thank you!!!!
