Pet Friendly! Just renovated! Simply walk across the street to the beach. New furnishings, private pool, and hottub. 6 outdoor seating areas, 4 Bedrooms all ensuite– that’s 3 gulf facing King ensuites plus 4 bunk beds with ensuite AND an extra full 5th bath w/ endless hot water! This fantastic home has a generous kitchen w/abundant light, gorgeous granite countertops and stainless appliances, fully stocked for entertaining with a long center island and 4 comfortable bar stools. Huge backyard with a fenced section for the dogs!

Like to share the beach but not the bathroom? This 4 bedroom and 5 bath one level home is the one for you! The extensive kitchen is open to the living and dining room, all to take in the wonderful views of the gulf from the large expanse of living room windows. The coastal casual dining room boasts a sizable dining table with seating for 8 and is adjacent to an oversized island that seats an additional 4 plus a hightop puzzle table that seats 4. If you prefer to dine outdoors, there are 6 different outdoor seating areas that include a covered dining set poolside. The open living room has splendid new comfortable furniture, perfect to relax while enjoying time with family and friends. A beachside covered deck boasts a multitude of comfortable seating affording some wonderful views of the gulf and the pool area. Beach-facing private pool feels like an oasis, tucked in among the gorgeous native vegetation. The pool area was done in lovely brick pavers and an extended wooden deck is tucked under the home for a shady retreat. Newly installed Hot Tub, outdoor shower, and fish sink. Private location but still near the center of the island so close to the Light House, restaurants and shops– the best of both worlds!

The footpath directly across the street is legally deeded to this property so feel free to use it!

Pool can be heated for $450 per week.
Golf Cart available for rental. $500 per week.

We have stayed a couple of times here. It is across the street from the ocens and walking distance to all the shopping/eating. House is always clean and communicate with the hosts is fast and always friendly. Definitely will stay agin.

Updated beautiful property with plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms, literally 1 house off the beach, simple walk. Heated poo, jacuzzi an outdoor fridge a nice bonus.

Wonderful Home

We had an amazing week at Anchors Away. The house was perfect for two families to share. The amenities were amazing and on the cooler days the heated pool and hot tub were perfect!! The owners checked in to make sure our stay was going well. We will definitely be back.

Great Beach Trip with the Doggos!

My family has rented several pet friendly homes on the island before but this was by far the nicest. The renovation is beautiful and it was so nice to have so many bathrooms so that we shared only the beach, not the baths! Can’t wait till next year.

Lovely Home

We enjoyed our stay at Anchors Away tremendously. The owners were easy to reach and very helpful. The house had really easy access to the beach and the owners have stocked it well, taking into thoughtful consideration those items that make a stay at the beach easy, relaxing, and enjoyable. The pool was clean and very refreshing after a day at the beach. And we loved being able to have our dogs with us - would recommned.

Super Stay at Anchor's Away

We loved our stay here and the hosts were super responsive when we had a couple of questions. The home is absolutely beautiful and we plan to come back in the spring and also in the fall. We didn't need the pool heater this trip but like that we can use it in the fall. Can't wait!

Fall break

We traveled with three small children. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub on early mornings and evenings. It was perfect when little one needed a break from beach. Beach is just a short walk and outdoor shower was great! We loved every bedroom and each bathroom has its own bathroom. Loved the walkable distance to all from the property.

The home layout was fabulous. The kitchen was set up with everything!! The pool area and barbecue area were pristine We thought we would miss staying on the beachfront but the position of the home and the front porch and the view we had was spectacular it was a wonderful stay.

Great Beach House

From the moment we opened the door- impressed with the cleanliness and new furniture… plenty of seating inside as well as on the porch … under the house yields a welcomed hot tub, hammock as well as a swing. We enjoyed the heated pool. Its a short stroll to the beach that was dog friendly. Owner was very accommodating - replaced broken grill during our stay. Overall I recommend highly.

Fantastic

We stayed for 18 days it was wonderful. The house is beautiful, very well stocked kitchen. 3 nice king suites with their own bathrooms. plus a bunk room with private bathroom.. Loved the pool hot tub and fire pit.. the location was perfect just across the street from the beach and walking distance to Paddy’s and The Blue Parrot. Susan was wonderful to work with.. we had a few minor issues that Were fixed within an hour. Highly recommend it his home

Absolutely perfect. The house is well maintained and supplied with pretty much everything you would need. Walking distance to everything, plenty of parking for our boat and trucks. The pool was refreshing and clean. Really we couldn't have asked for anything more. The owner communicated well and made sure everything was as expected. We will defiantly stay here again.

Anchors Away is hands-down our favorite house ever!

We’ve been coming to SGI for many years and have stayed all over the island. Anchors Away is hands-down our favorite house ever! We especially love the renovation that makes it feel like a brand new house, the huge front porch, the private backyard and the private pool. The location was really good for us too because even though it’s walkable to most everything, we like to do, it is private due to the landscaping. The beach is literally just through the short foot path when you walk out the front door. We are already booking our next trip to stay here.

Anchors Away is Better Than Calgon!

This was an adult family vacation for 5 of us and the house was perfect for us! So close to the beach following a sandy path just across the street. Setting up on the beach was easily accomplished with the help of a nice wagon that’s provided. We loved sitting out on the front porch with our morning coffee and greatly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The fence enclosed area with the fire pit and chairs is the perfy area to sit out and enjoy the stars. The house is beautiful and so comfortably set up! We all felt relaxed and well rested after our week long trip! Definitely recommend!

Wonderful Property

This is the first time we’ve been able to see the beach from our porch! The house was in the best location of the island- we were able to walk everywhere and come back to the house any time we needed something. A couple of things: 1- the house has a beach cart and had 4 beach chairs. This was incredibly convenient! We packed our own not realizing this but next year we will save the space :) 2- the house is very well stocked as far as kitchen utensils goes. They also keep salt, pepper and old bay seasoning on hand. I packed other essentials like olive oil and other seasonings/spices. 3- they had lots of pool towels provided as well! Another space saver. 4- this was our first time to SGI and we were concerned about the grocery store having what we needed. We packed a lot just in case but we really didn’t need to worry. The piggly wiggly express doesn’t have multiple brands of every item but they have at least one of almost everything you need. They have boars head deli meat and enough produce as well as milk alternatives. We loved the house and will be back! It was perfect for our 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids).

Amazing Property - Book it! You won't regret it!

This property was amazing! The attention to detail was evident when the owners remodeled this house. It is stocked with everything you could need and some stuff you didn't know you needed. The main kitchen/living room is larger than it looks in pictures. We had 6 adults, and 5 kids ranging from 11 to 1 year old (he turned 1 while we were there!) Ensuite bathrooms were wonderful to have PLUS an additional hall bath for everyone to use. All the different seating areas outside/inside made it feel like you could find your own quiet spot for a minute, even with 5 grandkids running around! The back porch is where sunsets are. Front porch is large (kiddos ran back and forth on this playing) hot tub, outdoor shower, outdoor fridgerator, grilling area, pool was surrounded by plants to provide some privacy and there was a shaded area to sit and watch kids play in pool while getting a reprieve from the sun. The TV in the living room was HUGE and felt like a movie theatre at night with lights off. The a/c is brand new and they have an additional window unit to help when needed. It is a short walk (probably 50 steps at most) to beach to see beautiful sunrises. The stars at night are AMAZING! Just everything about this place made for a wonderful family trip. We made lots of memories on this trip to St. George Island and we will be back!! You will kick yourself if you don't book this property NOW before someone else does. Trust Me!

Best vacation home on St. George Island!

Everything we needed for a relaxing week at the beach. The house was attractively decorated, clean, recently renovated, and well equipped both inside and out. The home is spacious and located just a few steps from the beach. The pool was sparkling and cool. We took nature walks in the state park, saw beautiful sunsets and were a short walk to the lighthouse and restaurants. Our stay was perfect and we highly recommend it and plan to return in the future

Amazing!!

Beautiful experience! This house is directly across from the beach. Literally feet away and you see the ocean from the porch. The pictures don’t do this house any justice. The house is gorgeous! And the owner is the sweetest person. The house was spotless and very comfortable. Beautiful upgrades everywhere you look and the beds were very comfortable as well. This definitely met every expectation. We will definitely be back!
