A stylish experience in the Historic District

Enjoy a romantic and stylish experience at this centrally-located 1 bedroom carriage house. With windows on three sides and southwestern exposure, the home has an abundance of natural light but also blackout shades for nightime. Private entrance with easy street parking nearby. Walk to all the best Savannah restaurants and stroll through Forsyth Park located 2 blocks away. Kroger's supermaket is 3 blocks away and our favorite coffee and sandwich shop, The Mate Factor is 2 blocks away. We have a full kitchen including a dishwasher and Moccamaster coffee maker, laundry facilities, a 60" TV, etc. You'll fall asleep to the lulling sounds of the courtyard fountain, relax in the interior designed by 1chicretreat.com, and will want to move to Savannah soon enough! We live on the other side of the courtyard and what we love about the neighborhood, aside from our neighbors, is that we can walk to all our favorite restaurants like Cotton and Rye, Husk, The Savoy, Common Thread, Elizabeth's on 37th St...the list goes on, but still sleep with the windows open because of how quiet it is.
This is a carriage house so there are fifteen steps to enter.
If you are a golfer, contact me about playing a round at the Savannah Golf Club, which was established in 1790 and is the oldest club in the country.

This is a beautifully decorated apartment that is also very comfortable. We got the feeling that every single item was selected with care for both its attractiveness and usefulness. The location is superb and the owners were very friendly in their communication. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer, but we will certainly come back!

Savannah Getaway

We stayed at John & Mercedes place for a few nights earlier this month to celebrate our anniversary. They were very responsive to our questions prior to and after booking, offered to hold our luggage before check-in, and let us know we could check in early. The place was very clean and cozy, fitting our needs for a perfect place to return to relax after the day out in the Savannah heat. John & Mercedes provided recommendations for nearby cafes and restaurants, and the ones we visited were all great. From the location there is just a quick walk to Forsyth Park, and a longer stroll to the riverfront. Would definitely suggest staying here!

Amazing

This sweet little carriage house is all you could ever want for a get away vacation. It is fresh,clean, bright, in a quiet neighborhood, and artfully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked with high end appliances. The linen ( bedding and towels) are amazing - far better than we own! The host is readily available by text and quick to answer any questions. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone considering Savannah as a destination.

Great property, great host

My wife and I spent a long weekend get-away here and had a fantastic time. The property is ideally located for walking downtown and just a few short blocks from Forsyth Park. The unit is small, but not in the least bit cramped because it's laid out in a way that makes it feel spacious and open. It's spotless and very-well appointed with just about anything you might need to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The host, John, was great to work with from time of booking to check-out. He is responsive and helpful with local recommendations. This was a great experience and we hope to return again in the future. Thanks, John!

What a Fabulous Carriage House!

What a fabulous carriage house! It's in an ideal walking location to many restaurants and places to visit. The king size bed is very comfortable and linens high quality. We had a great sleep each night in the quiet neighborhood. Communication with John was excellent and very reponsive to recommendations. It was exceptionally clean and so beautifully and professionally decorated. John is a very thoughtful and attentive host. We will return!

Absolutely Lovely AND a King Bed!

The carriage house is beautiful, charming, a comfortable place to be when not out and about. It's VERY clean, bed is very comfortable, kitchen well stocked. My husband was impressed with the Mocha Master coffee maker! The pictures - what you see is what you get! The host is very friendly, helpful, and communication was excellent. John shared helpful hints about the area including events currently taking place. The neighborhood is quiet and within easy walking distance to everything you want to see while in Savannah. We highly recommend staying here! Thank you, John!

Little oasis

I don't usually leave reviews but this one is worth taking the time to share. I told the lovely owners this already- the place is absolutely amazing. It is hands down the nicest rental I have ever stayed in. I love the design and attention to details in the decor and linens, it made the whole experience feel special and restorative! I also really appreciate the super easy check out. It is located close a grocery store, a Kroger, and blocks from the park. It is well positioned for exploring Savannah and all the dining recommendations from the owners were spot on!

Very elegant!

We had a lovely time staying here, the location was great we could walk to Forsyth Park and various restaurants/coffee cafes. The apartment itself is so elegantly decorated and beautiful. We really enjoyed the space. Very clean and the check-out/check-in process was so easy!! Thank you!

Wonderful Getaway Close proximity

This property was perfect! So very CLEAN and so very beautiful!! The king size bed (what we were looking for; many places we looked at didn’t have this) was comfortable. Everything was in working order. No complaints at all. Great communication with the owner, and they accommodated the few special requests we had. Gave great restaurant recommendations. We could walk to any place from there very easily. It was nice being close to Forsyth Park too. Highly recommend for any couple!

Perfect!

This carriage house is fabulous for a couple. Amazing location close to all the squares and many great restaurants. It is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed (plug by the bed to charge your phone, coffee maker etc). Communication with the host was flawless. All in all a perfect place!

Perfect location for a short quiet stay

Fabulous little apartment with everything I needed. Close to grocery store and local restaurants but far enough away from the main areas to be a quiet relaxing stay. Will be back for sure.

The pleasure was ours . . .

Lovely, sophisticated space, spotlessly clean, and layed out beautifully for two adults. The carriage house is exactly as described in the listing and pictures - though they did not mention the juicer for fresh orange juice. The street is quiet and safe.

Wonderful stay

We rented the apartment in Savannah as we were visiting our daughter. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted. The apartment itself is great… decorated beautifully and has everything you need.

Beautiful and very comfy

Apartment was great. It had everything we needed and was within walking distance of all the sights. Bed was very comfortable so we slept well. Place was not on a busy street so while convenient, it was not overrun by people on the street.

Fall break in Savannah

My daughter and I loved staying at the carriage house for our quick trip to Savannah. The house was super cute and perfect for us! We were able to find parking easily and to walk to most of our outings. The host is very friendly and helpful with great communication. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing 2nd Bachelorette Experience

Our overall stay was phenomenal. This was my best friends second bachelorette and it was by far our favorite. Savannah is so extravagant. The host made some great vegan recommendations and was very attentive to the needs that we had throughout our stay. We didn't use to common area but it seemed quite lovely. Felt very safe and clean. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Mercedes is an interior designer specializing in vacation rentals and I'm involved in real estate.
