Relaxing Stay Just Off Duval
My husband and I and our senior dog had a very relaxing five week stay in this two-bedroom, two-bath second floor property located just off Duval near the Southernmost Point. Shawn, the property owner, was quick to get back to us whenever we had any questions, and he did his best to address the few issues that arose during our stay. One of them was the washer, which stopped working about two weeks into our stay. Shawn ordered a brand new washer/dryer! He also had the rugs in both bedrooms and the area rugs in the living space deep cleaned. Shawn is a caring property owner, which was very apparent to us. Here are some highlights of the unit: The kitchen is large and well stocked. There is a small George Foreman grill on the front porch, which we used frequently. The art work throughout the unit is totally Key West! The beds were comfortable, and the updated master bath shower was large and quite nice. There was plenty of room for us to store our clothing in the closet and two bureaus. Overall, while the house is near Duval Street, it was a quiet neighborhood. Just one minor item to note: After going up the stairwell, you enter the unit and go up one step to the living room and kitchen. To go into the bedrooms, you have to go down one step. It is an older home, so just be aware! We are "young" seniors and did not have any issues with this, nor having to climb stairs many times each day. Overall, we had a positive experience, and we loved our time in Key West.
