Loved the location! Perfect for visiting Ptown and the beaches of outer cape. Great spot to relax at beach and/or wake up to with a coffee on balcony or watch the return to after a busy day to watch the sunset! AC is key if needed, otherwise leave the slider door open with screen to catch a breeze! Very clean and comfortable, including beds. Plenty of towels including beach towels kitchenette a huge plus! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will be back

Everything was great! Location, beachfront view, balcony, room was very clean and supplied well with towels, paper supplies etc. It was perfect for our needs and definitely want to come back again.

Great ocean view. Nice chairs on the beach and deck furniture. Comfy beds and good shower. Great location but beach not swimmable due to amount of seaweed. Great beaches 8 minute drive away.

Great Mini Vacation

The unit was clean and the grounds were nice. It was wonderful to sit on the deck and lookout over the water. It was quiet and people were friendly. Overall it was a wonderful time! We would definitely stay here again.

Been vacationing at one or another Shore Rd. property my whole life and have been to the sandbars before when it was a classic motel, so I know to expect the best views and sunsets on the Cape, and as always that delivered. The room was nice and clean, and spacious. The bed was comfortable, though I’d recommend bringing your own pillows (honestly I recommend that at most any hotel). Parking is limited, and for two nights in a row after coming home from dinner out I was forced to take the handicapped parking spots because every single other space was taken and there were no other options and no street parking. I notified management to confirm it wouldn’t be a problem and didn’t get a response. There were no trash bags in the room, and the plastic bin under the sink didn’t have one in it. I reached out to Vacasa and they said they would bring some trash bags but they never did. Trash bags are a minor thing so it didn’t affect our stay really, but I’d be a little hesitant to stay at another Vacasa run property in case a more serious issue arose and it went unaddressed like that.

The perfect spot for a week at the Cape in September

This is a great location in Truro - easy to Provincetown, all the lovely beaches and to Wellfleet. The unit itself was notable for being so clean, neat and tidy. The bathroom and kitchen are spotless! The shower sparkles and smells great and the kitchen sink, refrigerator and countertops were all spotless! Love the bed! This bed is better than the one I have at home! Also, with four pillows, it's easy to find the one that works for your sleeping style. After a day out and about, it's nice to come home, shower and fall into the lovely bed. More than enough towels for shower and beach; dishes are utilitarian and work perfectly fine. Refrigerator and freezer both do their jobs well. TV has lots of cable options so on a rainy day, you can still be entertained.

Unit was clean, beds were comfortable. Schlage door lock was VERY sensitive and frustrating!!!! Had to try several times to get into unit. Air conditioning made the unit very humid and stuffy. Decks give you no privacy to have a conversation.

My little getaway was perfect!

I needed respite from my hectic life. Cape Cod has always been my happy place. I especially appreciate the lack of hustle bustle of North Truro but close proximity of P town if I need it. This was my first time at this property but it won’t be the last. I walked in to a sparkling, very clean unit. The bed was very comfortable, more than enough towels were provided and toiletries as well. The lock was fussy, but I expected that from previous comments. The view of the bay and of P-town was so enjoyable-the balcony was perfect for watching the sunsets and star gazing. I heard the dogs that other people brought but because my unit was on the 2nd floor it was not intrusive at all. The grounds were well maintained and the staff very nice. There are designated parking spots so never a question of not having one. It’s a good walking beach. I really had a great time! I will return again!

New ownership since our last visit

We have stayed at Sand Bars Inn many times over the past 15 years. Since our last visit, SBI is under new ownership for our stay last weekend, we found a pleasant change was a designated area for dogs to do their business including poop bags, a trash can for the poop bags, and friendly signs asking owners to pick up after their dogs. We’ve had a few visits prior to the new ownership where the beach area was a bit of a doggie litter box. New fire pits on the beach were also nice to see. Our only complaint was a broken handle on the toilet in our room which took a bit of work to stop it from constantly running the water. With no innkeeper on-site now, there was no person to walk down to and let them know of the problem. There’s an 800 number to call now and we didn’t take the time to look for it because we were busy due to only visiting for 2 days. That’s on us, I’m pretty confident someone would have been sent to fix it had we had time to look for and call the number. The only other issue was the screen on our slider leading to the balcony fell off it’s track every time we opened or closed it. BUT, though dated, the rooms are always clean, the beds are comfortable, and there’s great water pressure in the showers. The cleanliness and comfort of the beds are the most important points for us when traveling. Overall and aside from these two issues, Sand Bars Inn is a very pleasant place to stay.

Beautiful location

The place has change some needs some TLC also one of the burners is missing fire alarm would go off when you cook. Lights outside were never on at night so dangerous to go up and down stairs. Other than that is the ideal place to go. I’ve been there 5 times already. It’s my home away from home. Needs some love though.
