Magical Beachfront Cottage

You are on the beach! Truly one of the last historic stand-alone beachfront cottages in the center Ptown. Welcome to Saltine Cottage where you'll spend the day watching the tide rise and fall and boats come and go in Ptown harbor. This one bedroom, one bath cottage will transport you back in time. Wide plank floors and porthole windows will make you believe you're on a boat. From the large wrap-around deck you'll have front row views of Ptown's spectacular sunrise and sunset. At the end of the day, you can stroll through town and enjoy Ptown's many restaurants, bars, and galleries.

This cottage is special and quirky and everyone who sees it falls in love right away. The stairs to the second floor are steep and the bedroom has a pitched roof so you'll need to mind the headspace. From the living room you have magnificent views of the sea grass blowing in the wind and the everchanging light on the water. The couch in the living room is a Queen sleeper. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a large dining table. Parking for one car included. If you're looking for a truly unique Ptown experience this is your place.

This is a perfect spot for anyone looking for a Cape Cod beach vacation.

Wonderful stay in the most charming dune cottage. Truly one of a kind location. Owners are super friendly and helpful. This place is quintessential Provincetown. All our friends were jealous of our rental. If you’re looking for real local charm this is your unit. We are definitely going to rent again.

Great location. Enjoyed the deck and the beach. Close to restaurants and shops. Had to use the parking lot next door. The parking space too small for a truck.

Quirky, comfy PTown getaway

We loved this little cottage, right on the water. Comfortable, cute, has all you need to ride out a hurricane! Wonderful deck to watch the beach dogs play. Only reason I gave 4 stars for cleanliness is just because it’s an older, quirky beach cottage. Recommended!

I hesitate to give this wonderful cottage a glowing review for fear it will be unavailable in the future ! It is a terrific little spot, right on the beach, beautifully appointed with a great kitchen and cozy loft bedroom. It unfortunately rained all weekend, but we played scrabble, read and were extremely happy to do nothing ! Kelli and David were very responsive to any communication and were just lovely ! We loved it and hope to return in the future ... Many thanks !

Perfect location!

Stop your search now, this place is the perfect getaway for two! We parked our car and didn’t touch it for the entire four days we were here. You can walk to everything, and we did just that. Highly recommend Yolqueria for breakfast, literally at the top of the driveway. Get there by 9 if you don’t want a long wait. Strangers and Saints restaurant for dinner and cocktails is a must. It is also at the top of the driveway and across the street. The beach cottage itself is wonderful! It was clean and ready upon arrival. They had everything needed during our stay. Our favorite part was sitting on the back deck just watching people walk the beach. There is a public access next to the house but it didn’t bother us a bit. We loved watching all the people gather with their dogs for playdates every day. The owners were wonderful and quick to respond. We recommend parking your car at Pats Happy Park which is practically next door. The owner Michael was great! We give this a 10 out of 10 and will definitely be back!

Outstanding location with a view to match!

This is a special place, cozy and charming with an amazing view of the ocean! Just steps away from restaurants and shopping. The owners were quick to response and very pleasant. Ready to make our days there very special! We are planning another trip back!

Great Retreat

My wife and I spent a long weekend at this wonderful "cabin by the sea". The home was clean, well appointed and had a perfect location. It is within walking distance to "all things P-Town" and we spent time on the beach right next to the home. The even have an umbrella and beach chairs for your use. We thoroughly enjoyed and hope to get back soon. We met the owners and they are great, thoughtful people. They really want you to enjoy yourself.

Well appointed cozy cottage directly on beach!

Downtown a very short walk, no walk needed to spend day on sea and sand. Nautical theme charming, furniture indoor and out comfortable, kitchen set up well enough to enjoy cooking and dining in, wonderful views of water from every room, nice private deck to enjoy breeze off water. Hosts responsive. Puppy friendly.

Perfect cottage

We needed a place that would allow to bring our dog. Staying right on the beach in this quaint cozy cabin was perfect. Great location- you can walk to restaurants and come back to have an after dinner drink on the deck. The owners have included so many details to make this the perfect destination.

Perfect Beach house getaway!

My husband and I were looking for a little beach house getaway in Provincetown for a long weekend. From the moment we showed up I was enchanted. It's historical charm coupled with all the essentials and comforts you could want made this a perfect mini vacation. The location is ideal. It is located right on the main street within walking distance to everything, yet set back just enough on the beach giving us all the privacy we wanted to enjoy relaxing, reading, cocktails and dining, all while watching the ever changing tides. We really loved the outdoor shower, and the views from the deck were spectacular. I loved watching the sunrise from the deck each morning with my coffee. While it is an older beach cottage, the recent updates made it very comfortable. The view fro. The living room was so pretty that we didn't even bother to use the upstairs bedroom. I had purchased a nice thick mattress pad and brought it with us. We put it on the sleep sofa and we were very comfortable. Anyone who doesn't or can't do steep stairs may find this information helpful. I don't have a problem climbing but wouldn't trade that sleep sofa view for anything. We had the best sleeps each night. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to meet the owners while we were there and they were so helpful and friendly. We can't wait to go back. I usually love my 5 star hotels but I couldn't help but fall in love with this beach house cottage. My husband who has never commented on towels anywhere even went on about how soft and absorbant rhey were. We were not disappointed at all. We loved it so much, we are looking forward to returning in the fall. I'm already daydreaming of that morning coffee in cooler weather watching the sun dance on the ocean as it slowly wakes up the town. We give this rental and the owners 5 stars each!

Best location in ptown!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay in this cottage. What's best about this place is the location! you are on the beach and in the hear of Ptown close to many restaurants, bars, and galleries. The host was great in term of communication and check in instructions. Parking is close and coinvent. This is a perfect spot for anyone looking for a Cape Cod beach vacation.
