This modern chic private 1-bedroom Basement Guest Suite is the perfect space for short or long-term stays for 1-5 people (4 adults and 1 baby). There's a fully stocked kitchen, in-suite laundry, and 1 comfortable and soft Queen size bed. With high end finishing you will have a delightful experience.

✦ You are booking the entire basement suite, not sharing. NOTE: The backyard area is not part of the booking.

✦ TV and Internet: High-speed 300 Mbps internet with wi-fi and a smart 42 in TV. No Netflix included.

✦ Parking: Plenty of free street parking in front of the house.

✦ Kitchen: High-design modern kitchen with quartz counters and stainless-steel appliances (fridge/freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave). Also includes a coffee machine, 2-slice toaster, kettle, blender, pots, pans, and all the cookware necessary to make a gourmet meal.

✦ Bathrooms: Full 4-piece bathroom equipped with fresh towels, hair dryer, and dispenser for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You will even get Q-tips and facial cotton pads.

✦ Office/Workstation: Includes a desk/workstation ideal for students and working professionals.

✦ Laundry: Got some dirty cloth that need to be washed? No worries, we have a washer and dryer ready to use with detergent available.

✦ This unit comfortably sleeps 4 guests with 1 Queen size bed in the bedroom, 1 Futon in the living room (sleeps 1), and 1 very comfortable twin-size fold-out mattress (6-inch thick memory foam). Plus, an additional Playpen is provided for babies.

✦ The entire basement suite is available upon booking, which means it is not SHARED with someone else. NOTE: The backyard area is not part of the booking.

✦ You can park in front of the house. Free Street parking is available

McKernan is a neighborhood located in south-central Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is a quiet neighborhood with beautiful tree-lined streets in the heart of the city. It borders the University of Alberta, and is close to Whyte Avenue, Old Strathcona, the University hospital complex, Downtown and countless restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops. It is well served by transit, with McKernan-Belgravia LRT station a short 10 min walk away.

Homeowner's family lives upstairs with two small children – They typically put their children to bed at 7:30 PM, however, if you are noise sensitive, please be aware that you will hear them in the mornings or weekend days.

✦ SECURITY DEPOSIT HOLD AND RENTAL AGREEMENT ✦
This property requires a 250$ security deposit hold and digital signature of our rental agreement. Automatic instructions will be sent right after your booking confirmation. The sec. deposit hold will be collected 2 days before check-in and released 5 days after check-out, assuming there is no damage to the property and all our house rules have been followed. This task is done by our API-connected software to this platform.

⫸ CANCELLATION POLICY
VRBO and Expedia bookings are subject to a relaxed cancellation policy: You can cancel your reservation and get a 96% refund if you cancel at least 14 days before check-in. If you cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, you receive a 46% refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before check-in are not refunded.

Great location!

The location was absolutely perfect. The suite was beautiful and well kept. It was clean, easy to find, and was as advertised. It was the perfect location for my friend and I to stay while we were in Edmonton for a weekend course. Would recommend!

Great one bedroom basement suite and fit my needs perfectly. Stayed there for 2 weeks with work in the university district. Suite was well appointed, very clean and quiet at night. Would highly recommend

Cosy basement apartment

Perfect location for proximity to the U of A hospital. ($8.00 cab rides) Brand new everything! All amenities were top notch. Parking in front was always available. Forced air heating and in-floor in the bathroom made it super cozy, even when it was -45c. Storage closets and drawers for clothing are plentiful and not really shown in the photos. Great spot. You should stay here!

Loved it so much, I stayed there twice.

I was happy to find a place to stay so close to where I was taking a course. I stayed for 6 nights with a weekend break in-between. I was relieved to discover that the pictures online accurately represented the space. It's comfy, has a great shower, a washer & dryer, and a blender (which I desperately needed as I forget my own). Since I was too exhausted after classes to do anything, I was grateful that this property is acomfortable place to be. The neighborhood is safe. The owners are extremely communicative and accommodating. I would 💯 stay again!
