Peaceful Cabin with Beautiful Mountain Views

Situated on 5 acres overlooking Sydney Creek, this getaway provides the perfect amount of privacy with the convenience of being close to everything. We like to let nature do it’s thing, so most of the acreage is left un-mowed. This promotes a healthy habitat for the birds, deer, and other wildlife that frequently visit the property. The night skies are perfect for stargazing and the Northern Lights have been viewed from the house during winter. Beautiful, mature pine trees surround the back-side of the house, and the deck features views of iconic landmarks such as the Needles and Black Elk Peak.

As you step through the front door, you’ll find yourself in a cozy living room decorated with a rustic theme. You’ll be greeted by the beautiful 26’ tall fireplace, built with stone quarried right here in the Black Hills. This living room has seating for your whole group; with a sectional, a pullout couch, and a sitting chair with an ottoman. You can cozy up and watch your favorite movies on the LG smart TV (70 inch), or choose from the selection of board games, DVDs, puzzles and card games that we provide.

The kitchen is equipped with cooking basics such as spices, oil, and any utensils you should need. The cheerful hickory cabinetry and full-size appliances make this kitchen perfect for serving your group. The dine-in kitchen table seats 6, and there’s extra seating at the breakfast nook. If you'd rather dine outside, there is plenty of seating; as well as a grill and propane fireplace: perfect for s'mores! Enjoy a cup of coffee with your sunrise, the coffee pot and coffee are provided.

With a king sized bedroom located on each level of the house, your group will have plenty of room to spread out.
Upstairs you’ll find the loft, which contains a king sized bed, sitting chair, walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Connected to this room is a balcony with seating for two, perfect for enjoying the dark and starry skies.

The main floor bedroom has a king bed and sitting chair. The bathroom is separate from the bedroom and contains a walk in shower. The laundry room is located just down the hall, and there are extra linens in the closet outside of the laundry room.

When you head down the stairs to the basement you’ll be greeted by a cozy family room with the second fireplace of the home. On the wall is a smart TV with a cabinet below containing a dvd player, as well as plenty of movies and board games. Out the sliding door you will find a large concrete patio with extra outdoor seating. The basement is perfect for the kids; it has two pullout couches, a sofa and a queen bed. With a themed closet full of children’s books, toys, and a pack and play, there’s plenty of entertainment for the little ones. Tucked down the hall is the third bedroom of the house, which has a king sized bed. The basement bathroom is full sized and has a bath/shower combo.

We have the best WIFI that the Black Hills has to offer, included free with your stay, so you’ll have no problem staying connected or streaming your favorite movies.

Custer is a beautiful town that has so much to offer. Our cabin is only 7 miles from the famous Sylvan Lake, and 7 miles to Custer's very own State Park.
