First, I would like to thank Lisa and her family for staying at our Royal’s House during their recent trip to Scottsdale. We know there are many options in Scottsdale, and we genuinely appreciate that you chose ours. That said, I feel this review is unfair and warrants a response. We are not a large company with many rentals; it is just my wife and me managing a single property. With this being the case, we take IMMENSE pride in the condition and care of this home. When Lisa reported an odor, I was at the house within 10 minutes. At that time, we (Lisa, her family and me) all agreed there was NO noticeable smell present. Despite this, and out of an abundance of caution, I still conducted a full and found no issues or source(s) of any smell/odor. Despite there being no odor and to ensure Lisa’s comfort, I offered to work with her and VRBO to find a suitable replacement property for the remainder of her and her family’s trip, this offer was declined. As I left the property, I asked that Lisa contact me if the smell returned or if there was anything else they might need during their stay, but that second call/message never came… Of course, it’s difficult to investigate a disappearing odor with no source. Although we do encourage guests to ventilate bathrooms during and after CERTAIN uses to keep things fresh for everyone. As for the master closet, Lisa is absolutely right, it does contain several items! In fact, we appreciate the opportunity to clarify the amenities available in the master closet: two space heaters, an oscillating fan, iron and ironing board, highchair, pack-n-play, children's toys and books, a stool, exercise ball, yoga mat, TV tray, vacuum, and eight additional king-sized pillows. These are provided as a courtesy, and most of our guests have found them to be thoughtful and convenient, however, we are truly sorry that these items caused Lisa any stress. We would be more than happy to remove these items for any future guests who also find these items problematic. We encourage future guests to read our other reviews and hope they’ll see this one in the broader context of the consistently excellent experiences we work hard to deliver.
