The house is a great location from the beach and nice to access the lake from the house. It’s a steep walk down the steps to get to the lake with a few broken steps. Kitchen had minimal cooking supplies. House had a few spiders all around inside of the house. Overall a nice stay but could use some TLC.

The check-in process was an unmitigated disaster. Despite having filled out and signed the ubiquitous required community forms weeks before, our party was greeted at the 'Unwelcome' Center by someone who was not only deliberately unhelpful, but who commented on what a "common problem" it was for these forms to not be in their system when people arrived to access the properties they had rented. This should be a big red flag for anyone considering renting in future. This gated community ignored all of the documentation presented to them and it took over 2.5 hours and 4 calls to Vacasa (the property management team who was very helpful) to resolve the issue. While our family (including 3 teenagers competing in a national-level competition the following day) waited in 90 degree heat and high humidity, the 'customer service' agent went outside to feed the deer, seriously?The property was pleasant with good access to a nice lake (suitable for swimming). Some upgrades to outdoor furniture are needed, but it otherwise has enjoyable amenities. There are a wide range of properties in East Stroudsburg. I'd look for a different one next time given the extreme hassle experienced simply to drive into the community. Not what you hope for when you've traveled hours to get to your destination. If I owned in the community, I'd demand a lot more from the community management group.

I would like to truly say that we was so worry about what we can expect from this house since we read the reviews after we did the reservation but we was very surprised that house was so nice and there was everything what we needed for great time there! We didn’t spend much time by the lake but there is a good access to the lake and we did saw there some kayaks and paddle boat. House was cleaned nicely nothing that the previous reviews said. Yes, there was a couple cobwebs but it’s in the middle of the woods and in all houses in Pocono you can find few cobwebs so in my opinion it’s absolutely normal. All bed sheets and towels were clean and looked like brand new! Location of the house is just perfect as much as everything in the house ! We did have there a wonderful weekend and highly recommend it to everyone! The company was always there for us with answers for all our questions!

Terrible

The property was terrible, trash around the outside of the house. Inside the mold smell was terrible, spiders everywhere. The upstairs bathroom leaked through the floor and ceiling which resulted in puddling on the kitchen floor. As far as the kitchen there was hardly any kitchen essentials. It appeared that the house had been properly cleaned. The trash container on the outside of the house hadn't appeared to have been emptied for a long time, which resulted in terrible smell going outside..

Disappointed

Here is my honest review.I want to start with the management – they are very helpful and always trying to resolve any problem. But there is a big BUT.The house is located on a huge hill. When we arrived, the front door was covered in spiders and webs, which really scared us because it looked like nobody had opened that door for a long time. Inside, it was pretty clean overall. There were a few webs and spiders around, but nothing major.The crazy part was the porch – it clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a very long time. We spent half of our day cleaning and washing it. Management offered to send someone the next day to clean it, but honestly, it should have been done before we arrived, not while we were already there.Another issue was the bathroom upstairs. Both the toilet and sink were clogged when we arrived. The next day, a lady came and fixed the toilet clog but forgot the sink. I didn’t want to keep bothering her, so we just didn’t use the sink during our stay.The kitchen is falling apart. The dishwasher was coming out of the wall, and a couple of cabinets were broken. The dryer was also broken – as I saw mentioned in other reviews – it runs for a couple of hours, but the clothes are still wet.Now, outside. The stairs going down to the lake are broken and extremely dangerous. The kayaks were very dirty, and the lake itself didn’t look clean, so we didn’t use it at all.Overall, we spent half of our short vacation just cleaning, and we couldn’t enjoy many of the a

Cold and no power

When we got in the house it's was below 50 degrees. The baseboard heater did not work,i called the local manager. He told me it's going to take about an hour before the house heat up. About an hour into the stay. We loss power. I tried to called the local manager back. He turned his phone off the night. So i called Vacasa. They was giving me the run around. I was in the phone with them for hours. They said it was a power outage. But all the next door neighbors had power. They said the power will be on between 3am and 8 am and they will try to relocate us. They will call us back. No one called us back. We had to keep calling them. We had to bundle up in the bed with all children. For the night. The temperature was below 35 degrees in the house. They never relocated us. I called them back the next morning, still the same thing. We are trying to find yall a house. And the house we do have the company don't want to pay the different. The power finally came on around 11am and the house didn't hear up until around 6pm. But that was the upper level were the bedrooms was located. The living area was cold the whole stay. This trip was the worst trip my family experience. We only got a day reimburse back to us. It more but I'm tire of typing.

IF ONLINE SCAMMING WAS A SCAM

I would like to start off by saying, DON'T BELIVE IN WHAT YOU SEE ONLINE! I was so excited to spend my 40th birthday with friends and family, under one roof. With activities on site that we can enjoy. Let's just say, I was excited until I arrived. Upon arrival I WAS SO Disgusted AND EMBARRESED FOR MY GUESS TO SHOW UP! I have ALL PHOTOS TO SUPPORT THIS REVIEW. This property has NOT BEEN TAKEN CARE OF, MAINTAINCED OR CARED FOR IN A VERY LONG TIME. The back yard leading up to the lake is a HUGE HAZORD. I tripped and fell going down the makeshift steps leading to the lake. You can actually see that the property HAS NOT BEEN CARED FOR (in over a year as per reviews) by all the trash under the porch. The paddle boat and fire pit were covered in leaves and trash. In order to be able to use the paddle boat, we literally had to clean the paddle boat, drain the rainwater from it, then wipe it down with dry towels, before we were able to use it. I will up- load all pictures. By the way, there was only one paddle boat for visitors of 10. Unacceptable. Let move on to the inside of the house. My guest brought to my attention, of how FILTHY the bedrooms are. upon arrival, my guest found empty water bottles under their beds, some of the bedrooms and common areas of the house was COVERED in COBB WEBBS. This house has not been dusted, sanitized or deep cleaned. In every corner in the house, there had been spider Webbs that looks as if they were there for Years. .

Not happy

The issues with the house itself were numerous and made our visit far from enjoyable. Firstly, the broken outside staircase leading to the lake was a safety hazard. It was clear that no maintenance had been done, making it nearly impossible to access the lake and enjoy any water activities.m from the house. The overall condition of the house was appalling. Cobwebs, stained sheets were a clear indication of poor cleanliness. It was an uncomfortable and unsanitary stay. Furthermore, the lack of instructions on navigating the community house amenities was frustrating. We were left clueless about important details, such as access to community facilities, trash and basic information on using the utilities. This lack of guidance made our stay confusing and inconvenient. We had to send a text or make a call to get an answer so we stopped reaching out. The absence of window screens in almost every bedroom and no air conditioning made the house stuffy and uncomfortable. Sleeping for a couple nights was unbearable. We had 2 young children so no screens is not safe. The kitchen was ill-equipped, lacking essential cooking tools not one mixing bowl. We struggled to prepare meals due to the insufficient supplies provided. Considering it was a rental property, we expected better provisions. Lastly, the dryer would run for 2-3 hours and not dry and smelled of fire we couldn’t use it. Another safety hazard.

Great time, poor communication

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The lake access (two kayaks and a paddle boat) plus the walking distance beach and the pool a short drive away were excellent. We were also able to bring our own stand up paddle boards. The beds/furniture are all new/modern and were comfortable, and the kitchen served its purpose. There are a LOT of bugs, but that sort of comes with being in the Poconos. Also the steps to get down to the lake are a bit steep, so bear this in mind if you have little kids. Please note that this is booked through a separate party, so you do not have as much 1:1 communication as you do with other rentals. When we arrived, the guard stand did not have our list of vehicles, so I had to call customer service (who was very helpful) and they had to send the list to the property again, so we had to wait and hold up the line for 20 or so minutes. Unsure why they didn’t have our car list on our check in day, but this was frustrating. I wish I could have called or messaged someone directly. We also wish that the house rules were more prominent, like property manager contact information, trash day, where the life jackets and pool badges were located, WiFi, dog rules, etc., as usually with other rentals these are neatly in a binder for us to access. Overall, though, the amenities were nice and we enjoyed our trip!
