Waterfront Home-Great Boating/Fishing/Beach. Mountain Views, close to Sandpoint

Please consider staying at our wonderful lakefront home in beautiful Garfield Bay on Lake Pend Oreille. Stay in our spacious (2260 sq. ft.) and comfortable townhome; all of the rooms are large and on one floor so you and your family can spread out. There is great fishing, awesome mountain views, and it's a short drive to terrific skiing at Schweitzer Ski Resort - with paved roads all the way from our front door to the ski lifts.
Our living room is very nice with French doors opening onto the front deck overlooking the waters of beautiful Garfield Bay and the Green Monarch Mountains. The kitchen is extra large, spectacular, and very well stocked. You will love spending time in this gourmet haven.
The home is 20 minutes from the picturesque town of Sandpoint, which has a very quaint downtown, and is blessed with many diverse and affordable restaurants.
If you are planning to fish, you will have your own private boat slip on our beautiful new dock, just steps from the front door.
The house is a great place to relax, unwind, and have fun. It sleeps up to 10 people and is great for one or more families.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this property! It was the perfect location for our family vacation. Linda and Dave were both a pleasure to deal with! We would definitely stay here again. The convenience of Odie’s downstairs was fantastic and we enjoyed getting to know some of the locals in the area. The icing on the cake was the Captain’s Table restaurant up the road, Mary is an absolute gem. Thank you, Dave and Linda for allowing us to vacation in your property at Garfield Bay. We made lots of great memories with our family, we hope to return next summer!

What a lovely respite

Glacier Bay is lovely. Property is well appointed, and hosts are very responsive. Highly recommend this little getaway!

Perfect Vacation Retreat

Very spacious and well appointed residence for any occasion whether a large gathering or small family get away. The location cannot be beat with peaceful and tranquil views from the deck or walk along the bay to a short drive to amazing dining and shopping in Sandpoint. We stayed for Christmas and went skiing and snowmobiling. We are now booked for summer fun in August and cannot wait!

Family Fun

Property is in great shape and well appointed. Easily accommodated 6 adults & 2 under 10 years. The views off the patio are spectacular. The hosts are very attentive if needed. We had a wonderful time visiting family nearby. Definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful location

We loved the private, quiet location of Garfield Bay. The hosts were very attentive! The home was clean and quiet. We loved our quiet morning walks, paddle boarding in the bay, beautiful views, renting a boat one day in Sandpoint. The only thing is the house was set up a bit awkward . The back bedroom has to walk through the futon family room and another bedroom (with the bunks and king bed) to get to bathroom. It was ok since we are all family but keep in mind.

Wonderful Lakefront Home

Loved our stay on your lakefront property on Garfield Bay. Loved the convenience of Odie's as the property is far from town. Loved the deer that visited. And the best part of the whole stay was the porch rocking chairs and table. Thank you so much for having us.

Great place to stay in gorgeous area

We loved the Garfield Bay house for our stay. It had all the space we needed and it was close to family down the road. Coffee on the deck in the morning overlooking the lake was our favorite. I especially appreciate the well stocked kitchen, the cotton sheets, and the thick, absorbent plentiful towels. Thank you!

A Perfect Place to Stay in Garfield Bay!

This is a lovely place to stay in Garfield Bay. The location is premier. You can easily walk to the park, the state beach, marina and store. The kitchen is very nice. And the home is exceptionally clean. The hosts are very communicative and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this home.

What a gem!

We opted to stay here over staying closer to Schweitzer, and don't regret it one bit! The drive into Garfield Bay is beautiful and the property is 100% worth it. The home is spacious and the view out of all the front windows is breathtaking. Everyone was so pleased!

A unique and unforgettable rental

This house was not only gorgeous, but in the hub of the Garfield Bay community. It was fun getting to know the folks in the store downstairs and watching the boats come in and out of the marina. Even with all the hustle and bustle during the day, the house was quiet and relaxing, and in the evenings it felt like we had the bay to ourselves. Easy to access swimming and trails, too. Wonderful owners, wonderful rental

Incredible vacation

Me, my wife, my sister in law and my 5 daughters absolutely loved this house. The experience was first class from booking through checking out. The location really can’t be beat. We loved being able to walk downstairs for a quick treat. And the girls loved being able to fish right off the dock. Also close proximity to many amazing places. We will be back. Dave is an awesome host. Thanks!

Worth so much more than 5 stars

This place is heaven on earth. Picture perfect, so beautiful, just the quiet, water, and sun. Linda was an amazing communicator, checking in several times just to be sure everything was taken care of for us. The downstairs market that Dave runs is fantastic. Perfect kitchen, deck with BBQ, and comfy sitting rockers. We will do our best to return, I am completely smitten with the property and the place.

Garfield Bay

We loved our stay at Dave and Linda’s. L Garfield bay is very quiet at night and really the most of the noise was on the weekend, but was gone as soon as everyone left the beach. It is about 20 min from Sandpoint, where we brought groceries. The house was well stocked with most everything we needed. The air conditioning worked great. There is a little store beneath the house to get stuff you forgot or runout of.

Exceeded expectations!

This house was perfect for our holiday getaway! Large tv rooms and bedrooms provided more than enough space for our entire group. The kitchen was fully stocked and perfect for making all of our Thanksgiving goodies, the owners have truly thought of everything. And if that wasnt enough, the views can not be beat. It was great to sit and watch the boats on the bay, and even the wildlife (deer, turkey, and geese). The shop downstairs was adorable and the property owners were a dream to work with. We will definitely be back in the future!

Paradise on the Pond

Love staying on Garfield Bay! This has become the first place we try & stay when we come every year because it is has such easy access to Lake Pend Oreille including moorage & trailer parking with proper insurance & slip information. Property has a stunning & serene view of the lake. Best place to sit on the porch & have a cup of coffee in the morning. The property owners are most accommodating & very helpful. The house has everything you need to make you feel at home. Very clean & comfortable. The kitchen is better equipped than my home. There is a boat launch just down the road with a rocky beach the kids loved. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun quiet get away.

Beautiful breath taking rental home !

I was blown away on how beautiful the home was, it had every single thing we needed. Linda and Dave were AMAZING and extremely helpful it was very nice to know I could reach out anytime if I needed to. They also left my husband and I a gift basket which we thought was very special! We loved going downstairs to the store every morning and seeing Dave and the wonderful ladies who work in there they are all wonderful people, don’t hesitate to book! This has been one of the most beautiful breathtaking home, I have stayed in while using VRBO , and I know we will be back and I can’t wait !! Thank you Dave and Linda for every SINGLE thing we will see you again 🙂

Amazing location!

Very clean property in the perfect location. Came with a boat slip, it was the perfect find for our family fishing trip! Would stay again in a heartbeat, david and Linda were great!!

My husband and I are the parents of six adult children, grandparents of nine, and retired business owners. Our family loves their waterfront home on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. We are happy and proud to share it with our guests. Our goal is to make your vacation experience a relaxing one, with no worries or inconveniences, resulting in lots of good memories. It is our hope that your family will return to our summer home many times in the years ahead.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

If you love the water for boating, swimming, or fishing - this is the place for your family. This is a very unique property, a large swim beach and an excellent boat launch 1-2 minutes from our home. The fishing here is terrific, the bay is excellent for kayaking, lots of good hiking nearby, great bike riding - all on paved roads - right out the back door, and unsurpassed scenery of spectacular mountains and beautiful Lake Pend Oreille.

The setting is very peaceful and quiet. There is room for parking four vehicles, guests will have their own private boat slip during their stay, and there is room on the property for parking one boat trailer. Everything is walkable. The boat launch, swim beach, a restaurant 200 feet down the road, and the townhouse sits above a small and very cute grocery store that serves scooped ice cream, baked goods, and many other goodies.
