BRITTAINS 'BEACON es una casa de playa de 2300 pies cuadrados, 6 habitaciones y 3 baños con 2 salas de estar separadas situadas muy por encima del resto en una duna con vista al hermoso Golfo de México. Esta propiedad está en una pequeña subdivisión de poco tráfico. Las playas son amplias, de fácil acceso y maravillosamente despobladas. Esta casa tiene una cubierta principal de 500 pies cuadrados frente al golfo con mesa y sillas para 8 y 6 tumbonas, además de una cubierta inferior sombreada con 4 sillas de estilo adirondack y un área de garaje techada para un espacio de juego con clima inclemente.

La casa tiene un gran cuarto de baño con techo abovedado y mucho vidrio para una vista espectacular. La habitación familiar de nivel inferior tiene 2 puertas de cristal que también ofrecen vistas al golfo. Estacionamiento cubierto para 2 vehículos y mucho espacio de estacionamiento adicional, ducha exterior, todo en un amplio lote. Para la comodidad de nuestros grandes grupos, navegantes y golfistas, que necesitan llenar hieleras, hemos instalado una máquina de hielo de pepitas de Scottsman que entrega hasta 200 libras de hielo por día y una cafetera de café Bunn de 2 ollas con calentador. Camas: arriba 4 dormitorios - 1 cama por habitación K, 3Q y 1 sofá cama en la sala de estar. En la planta baja, 1 dormitorio y 1 habitación con literas - 1Q, 1 juego de literas, 2 camas Q Murphy en la habitación familiar. En la planta baja está completamente separado del nivel superior, debe ingresar a cada nivel desde el exterior.

Para todos los golfistas, nuestra subdivisión está al lado de Kiva Dunes. Si no está familiarizado con Gulf Shores, hay docenas de hermosos campos. Nuestra casa es ideal para 2 o 3 grupos de golf. Tenemos 10 camas separadas (si cuenta el sofá cama) más la máquina de hielo comercial y la cafetera Bunn.

Family Vacay 2025

The house was great for what we needed! We did end up renting a golf cart for my aging parents which definitely helped. The beach access point were either to the left and the right but not too far. The views were also good. The house we adequately equipped in the kitchen. The professional coffee maker was ON POINT as well as the commercial ice maker. This saved us 7 days of traveling to get ice for the coolers. There were plenty of toys for the kids that were in the back of the house along with a beach wagon! This was great! Would definitely rent again!

Perfect for a large family

House was very well stocked with everything you would need. Has a very short walk to the beach. The house is split 2 bedrooms downstairs and 4 upstairs. (upstairs is split like a duplex 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom per side). Perfect for numerous small families to have privacy. Host was quick to answer when need. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.

Wonderful place to stay

This house is so well laid out. Have a family of 5 with us and they stayed in the lower part of the house which was perfect. Five adults and a child under 2 stayed in the upper level. They had so many cooking utensils and silverware. They were well stocked. The only places I have stay that had EVERYTHING you need. We did not need to communicate with the owner. Everything worked. No problems. Recommend this place for sure.

Was perfect for a BIG family stay. We had an internet outage by the carrier, and the owner was very fast to respond to our questions about the outage. The internet and (streaming) tv were great for my adult kids who were taking college classes.

A Great Place for a Family Reunion

We had two sets of families so having a separation between the two floors was a nice feature of the site. The kitchen area downstairs did not have a stove but we had a Blackstone Griddle that we set up on the wooden table under the carport for cooking breakfast in the morning. The commercial ice maker was the best feature of the beach house. The washer and dryer were large capacity and came in handy for beach towels and the kids' daily laundry. The upstairs kitchen was very well-stocked with pots and pans, utensils, and dishes. The commercial coffee pot maker was used every morning and kept the coffee cups filled for all our coffee drinkers. The owner was quick to respond to our needs. There were lots of beach toys and beach accessories to choose from the bin located by the outside hose and shower which was also a must for being at the beach.

Convenient, needs some work. Decent for the price.

We got settled in on check in day with 14 people after a full day of travel. We had a meal planned but needed a grill. The grill was just a mess. We had to take the food off and finish in the oven. We then discovered that one of the burners didn’t work.on the stove. We also had a shrimp boil planned but the giant pot was so disgusting that we couldn’t do it. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. The extra ice machine was awesome. The gulf view was nice, but was ruined because the sliding door has failed and you cannot see through it. The shower head in the bathroom needs replacing. The deck could use sanding because we got splinters. There’s no sitting outside on the best part of the deck during rain because there’s no cover. After getting home I messaged to ask what the procedure was about an item that I thought could have been left behind. I also recommended that they spray the house because two people staying in one room had bites all over them. There were also ants (biting painful ants) under the carport (probably due to the placement of trash cans) and we had a lot of tears from children. All of this and I never received a response after the lost item question. A little maintenance would go along way on this house. We really had a fantastic week, but this one needs lots of work.

Vacation rental

House was not very clean. Mold growing on the vents, heavy dust on fans, under dresser in bedroom looks like enough hair to grow your own pet. Don’t understand why the beds are not made we had to make them when we arrived. Understand that you need to start dishwasher but to be required to put the dishes away before leaving is a bit much. I think it is rude to ask for a tip for cleaning. Overall the house was roomy enough for the number of people we had. Access to beach was ok but you do have to walk about a block and half to access.

Beautiful View and Plenty of room

This location was amazing! We saw dolphins 2 of the 7 days from the upper and lower decks. Beach was not crowded any day or time. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great place to relax with our family! Ice maker was a plus!

Great place with a Few Improvements Needed

Overall we enjoyed our stay, but there were a few things that should have been done better. The listing states that there is a grill, but once you arrive, the house notes that they do not provide any fuel. This is problematic when you plan your first meal on arrival to use the grill. Also, the beds had sheets neatly folded and placed on top of the bedspread. We had to make up all of the beds. The owner asks that you wash as many towels as possible before leaving, but there was no laundry detergent. In the bathrooms, there was 1 roll of toilet paper and very little hand soap. The soap was gone within 1 day. Dish soap was the same story. For a house that is described to sleep 16+ it did not have adequate supplies. The room with the bunkbeds is more of a closet than a bedroom. Once we got the house re-stocked and beds made, we enjoyed our stay. The access to the beach was great. The beach was beautiful and uncrowded. We made some great memories and would consider booking again.

Accomodating

Very accommodating. Plenty room for our family of 13 plus 2 decided to come later.. We booked early this year to have Christmas away from home. Purpose was served. We enjoyed had mostly everything we needed enjoyed the bon fire with the grands. Large kitchen area. Only negative, not enough tissue supplied , very little dish detergent. Plenty of nice matching washcloths and towels though, even though I bring my own. I would recommend for large groups. Communication with Owner was prompt.

Family Vacation 2021

Although the house was not beach front, it was very close. Easy walk for people who have no health problems. We were all very comfortable. The host responded to any questions I had right away. We are already planning our Family Vacation 2022 and this property is at the top of the list for ideas, granted we have no additional family join us. Kids loved catching crabs and frogs. Adults loved setting on the second story deck at night with the cool breeze, stars and sounds of the water rolling in. I recommend this place to anyone with a large family, or a group of friends that want to split the cost. The house has two floors and the second floor is totally separate from the second floor. Highly recommend for couples with children.

Great Location and House for a Group

Great end to the pandemic

House was exactly as advertised. The downstairs living quarters worked great for our son, his wife and their dogs. Upstairs for the rest of the family and all cooking and meals. Appreciated the commercial ice machine. Enjoyed our stay. Owner was responsive and helpful in planning for trip.

Wonderful vacation

My family and I had a wonderful time at Brittain’s Beacon. It was the perfect amount of space for us. Mrs. Janet was easy to get ahold of and communicate with when we had any questions. The only thing I wish was a little easier, is the beach access. Most of us managed it fine, but it was a little harder for my grandma (who is 80) to navigate. All in all, we found the house to be as described, communication easy, and the week was extremely relaxing and enjoyable.

Good location

Location is great, easy walk to the beach, good views from the house. We have stayed here twice now in the last three years. The house is comfortable but in need of some updating. There are some water damage areas on the ceilings I noticed this trip and there is a little bit of a musty smell in areas. Downstairs is separate from upstairs which worked fine for us. It’s over all clean but well used. For the price and location if you are going to be near the beach and have a large family group. It worked for us.

Read the description carefully

I rented this beach house for a large party of 14, including 6 adults and 8 kids. Overall, we had a good time but there were a few things about this property I didn't love. Make sure to read the description carefully- the downstairs is only accessible from the outside, meaning it is completely separate from the main house. That was 2 bedrooms and a bathroom that we thought would be extra for the kids, and we ended up not using because it is basically a completely separate apartment. I wish that would have been more clear in the description. Another thing was the cleanliness. I understand this is a house on the beach, but the tiled floor in the bathrooms were sandy upon check in. There was a griddle on top of the stove we tried to use for breakfast but when we pulled it down, dirty grease poured out from the sides and it clearly had been used and never cleaned. There was also a musty type of odor that never really went away in the house. In one of the main bedrooms upstairs, the corner of the bed jutted out. It was covered with a piece of a foam pool noodle, which fell off the first day. My friend ended up with a large bruise on her leg from hitting this corner. The location and views of the gulf are definitely amazing. However, it was not clear at all where the public beach access points were. There was no signage outside or maps of any kind in the condo. We ended up just walking across the street to the beach. We checked with the people who were renting the house we had to walk around and they said it was fine. The next day, a women came up to us on the beach and told us not to cut through that house yard anymore. She said she was the owner of that rental and we needed to use the public access. She then pointed out to us where the public access was. We could have avoided the whole situation if the public access points were made clear. They are both quite a walk away from the beach house, farther than the description makes it seem like. Finally, this was our first time renting a large house. We didn't realize that toilet paper, trash bags, etc would not be provided. This might be standard practice for renting a large house, but again we didn't know and showed up unprepared. We arrived late and there was nothing open nearby except Walmart which is a 25 min drive. Overall, this is a nice home with amazing views. With a little better cleaning, more clear signage for beach access, and a more clear description it would be perfect

Neal and Janet have been in the property management and construction business since the early 80's. Janet currently has a business managing over 800 single family homes in NE Alabama, where they live. She is an Army brat whose father was a helicopter pilot stationed primarily in the SE. She graduated high school in Alexandria, VA and has a Finance degree from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. Neal has lived in Calhoun County, AL his entire life and graduated high school in Alexandria, AL. Neal's master carpentry skills and Janet's love for all things real estate make them the perfect team. They have 2 adult children, a yellow Lab and lots of brothers and sisters that love to spend time at Brittains' Beacon. Neal is a true outdoorsman. He and Janet's 4 brothers love floundering out front, fishing the bay for trout, sea bass, and deep sea fishing. Janet and the ladies mostly enjoy sunbathing on the deck and the beach.

What we love about our location is that the beaches are uncrowded. The Fort Morgan area has regulated against numerous multiunit condos thus keeping the beach population down. We were drawn to our specific property because of its elevation. We are 27 feet up on a dune giving us a spectacular view of the gulf and still a short walk to the beach. The size of our home is the perfect fit for our family gatherings and yours too!

The openness of the main living area into the kitchen and dining area with the vaulted ceiling and glass doors at the front allows for 18 people to be all in one space and not feel crowded. The double Bunn coffee maker is a huge hit with our large groups. Even though we are across the street from the beach you can easily watch the beach fun from the deck or even inside the living room. We can be at the Kitchen Island making pan cakes and see dolphin or schools of fish hitting out front. This usually ends in a stampede to the deck and sometimes to fishing poles and the beach. :0
