Escape to serenity in our charming cottage on Sunset Lake located on the Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes--NO WAKE LAKE. Nestled among towering pine trees, we are located in quiet residential area.

Enjoy breathtaking views from the deck or unwind by the firepit. We supply a generous amount of firewood. Perfect for couples or families looking for a tranquil getaway. Swim, fish or simply soak up the natural beauty surrounding you.

We are pet friendly! Please inform Marcia if you intend to bring a pet or 2--additional fees apply. The Tails & Trails off-leash dog park is located west of the city of Waupaca. The 30-acre fenced park is located at E1578 Cty Rd Q near the intersection with Cty Rd QQ. The park is easily accessed off Hwys 10 & 22 from Appleton or off Hwy 54 from Stevens Point.

*4 vehicles can be parked in private driveway

*3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms (no bathtub), fully stocked kitchen, screened porch, wrap around deck, private dock with 60 feet of frontage. Blackout curtains in each bedroom; smart TV in each bedroom inside the armoire.

*(2) stand up paddle boards, kayak, row boat,

*2 sets of steps to get down to Sunset Lake from the cottage. Total of 42 steps with a resting bench on the landing at about half way.

*3 Ring cameras on premises--1 located on garage; 1 on corner of cottage toward entrance door; 1 located on back deck toward lake.

*2023 Bennington pontoon available for rent--please contact Marcia for rates/availability

Very peaceful, relaxing location. The cottage is very well equipped and stocked. We mostly enjoyed the screened porch and the great view.

Fall Getaway

The views from the screened porch were outstanding. We enjoyed the many seating areas and the fire table and fire pit. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. We enjoyed all the amenities provided. Having so many restaurants within a 10 minute drive was also great.

The Cottage was beautiful, perfect location on Sunset Lake. Loved the screened in porch! The steps weren't too bad. My 80 year old parents were able to go up and down. We really enjoyed the game room - competitive ping pong games and the Karaoke machine was FUN! Cottage is well-stocked, you thought of Everything! Thank you so much for being "Pet Friendly" - it means the world to us and Hazel loved playing in the water. The Main bedroom, super comfy. And the couches/recliner was a big plus for Family. Kayaking was the BEST - and I was lucky to see a Red Fox near Loyola and 2 young deer playing in the water! Wonderful seating areas inside and out! Thank you for sharing your cottage!

A great cottage

This is a great place for a family vacation. The cottage is better stocked than any other rental I have been too. There is every type of kitchenware that you might need. The counter top ice maker is a plus for those days or nights when everyone needs ice on their beverage. The beds were very comfortable and nice linens were provided. The only drawback for me was the steps to the lake but I knew that ahead of time and the kids were up and down them with no problem. The screened porch is a great extra space. Unfortunately we were not able to use it much as our week had temps of 85-90 every day. Outdoors there is plenty of room to spread out with two different deck areas with comfy furniture.

We are a family of Wisconsinites (our families currently live in the Appleton/Milwaukee areas). Our parents have been in the commercial real estate business for 40+ years and with a few of us siblings are following in their footsteps. Our dad is a Vietnam veteran who met our mom in Vietnam many years ago. Together they have built a family business through hard work, self-sacrifice and a "family first" mentality. With their work ethic and example they set, we have been afforded this opportunity to own this home.

This home provides the conveniences we have all come to appreciate while offering a quiet reprieve from the stresses. We look forward to sharing it with you and your group!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Location, location, location! And what better location than on the Chain 'O Lakes in Waupaca. Approximately a 2-hour drive from Milwaukee, 3-1/2 hours from Chicago, 1-1/2 hours from Madison and 40 minutes from the Fox Cities (Appleton-ish). We get the "up North" feeling without the long commute.
