We booked this for a girls weekend and it didn’t disappoint. The five bedrooms have a bath attached which made it very convenient . The view was beautiful, the fire pit was absolutely relaxing.

Wonderful stay!

The house was perfect for our extended family to celebrate Christmas together. It easily accommodated a wheelchair, had plenty of room for 10 of us, and was well stocked for our stay. We greatly appreciated all of Swami's thoughtful touches, from the welcome basket, the Christmas tree set up in the living room, and her quick response when we had an issue during our stay. Communication was excellent and we highly recommend this rental!

wonderful stay!

even in the midst of a two-day rain event, this property provided lots for our family to do. the space is amazing! the view of the river, train, fields, etc. is breathtaking- the binoculars were a BIG hit! Swami was very thoughtful- the kids really enjoyed the fruit and chocolates! they are already asking when we can go again!

Perfect stay!

My friends and I loved the place. The host was great, and communication between us couldn't be better. Very accommodating and answered all of our questions. We drove electrical vehicles and Swami helped us to keep them charged throughout our stay. The place is clean and has many beautiful and personal touches around in every room. Really enjoyed the clear skies at night star gazing:) thanks again and would definitely visit again.

Mountain Top Experience

Our mountain top retreat was breathtaking from start to finish! With a horizon filled with overlapping mountains, swirling patterns of trees and farmlands below and the feeling of being in the clouds our experience far exceeded our expectations! Spacious and view

We are very pleased with our stay at Skyspace. The hostess was so freindly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and even ensured that any possibility of the driveway being slippery was addressed after a little snowfall. The peaceful setting with beautiful view made for a very relaxing atmosphere for our family to enjoy. The large house with its many clean and comfortable rooms were much appreciated. I'd highly recommend Shyspace for a very enjoyable experience.

Breathtaking Views

We are so grateful for the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home in such a peaceful setting. This home was more than spacious for our three families with small children. Everyone enjoyed the amenities and Swami was a fantastic host who made sure the house was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. Communicating with Swami was effortless and we appreciate her willingness to go above and beyond for us. We were located not far from beautiful wineries yet far enough to enjoy the star-filled sky. This was the perfect weekend getaway.

Best Vacation Rental Ever!

We rented this property for our family, extended family, and friends for a couple days. There was 15 people in our party and there was so much room and space that we could all spread out and have plenty of room. We even had young children and a couple babies. Basically if you are looking for lots of room and yet privacy….this is the place! The host was so nice and friendly. They even provided snacks, basic necessities, household item, pack and play, high chair, and even toys for the kids! They definitely thought of everything!! We truly enjoyed our stay and especially the view! We hope to be back in the area someday soon and will definitely choose this location! We encourage all who are thinking about staying here to definitely put this house at the top of your list! You won’t regret staying here and you won’t want to leave!! Huge home with a great view!

The host is very nice and allowed us to check in early. She came to personally welcome us to the house. She also had fresh flowers and a fruit bowl. She gave a personal tour of the home and came back to visit the next day. The house is very large and can accommodate many people. It seems to be used as a meeting space too, so the common rooms are huge. The front room and living area reminded us of a church hall or visitation area. It is well stocked and had plenty of extra towels and bedding. We had an AC issue the first day and the co-host tried to fix it. We also had an isssue getting the water hot in some areas. The river view from the house is amazing, but it is not accessible directly from the house. There is another home directly beside this one on the top of the hill, where the co-host lives. We brought our own kayaks and enjoyed floating the river from Bent Creek (about 30 minutes away) to the James River State Park. We had a large group of peiple, so the house met our needs. We also enjoyed lunch at the Tavern on the James (30 min away) and cupcakes from the shop next door to the Tavern. Gas and groceries are about 30 minutes away too, so make sure you take what you need.

Girls Getaway

Lovely location offering beautiful views & sunsets! We enjoyed the sprawling home & huge patio overlooking the James River. The remote location did come with some 8-legged guests. Anything we needed assistance with was quickly responded to by Swami Dayananda & Conrad. Enjoyed trips to Walton’s Mt & Livingston Winery. We would stay here again if returning to the area!
