Welcome to Kings Beach—Tahoe’s funky, laid-back lake town. This cozy mountainside hotel suite is the perfect year-round base for your Tahoe adventure.

You’re minutes from hiking, golf, river rafting, and lake activities, with cross-country and downhill skiing taking over in winter. Restaurants, bars, beaches and local entertainment within walking distance.

Inside, unwind with one comfy queen beds and a TV with streaming. A mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave making mornings easy, while the walk-in shower is perfect after a day on the lake or slopes.

Adventure outside. Comfort inside.

THINGS TO KNOW
In order to watch streaming services, guests must use their own login credentials.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The location and fire pit was nice. There was no hot water for most of the stay until we told them we wanted a refund they fixed it late that evening. We complained that the TV would also not play for more than a few minutes because the connection was bad. There was also hair on the shower wall when we arrived and the nightstand was falling over

Good room for the price.

We chose this listing due to the location and the price knowing that we spend very little time in the room for this trip. The building was old and in some disrepair, but the furnishings were clean and modern. Positives: bed was comfortable, location, price Negatives: building was old and in disrepair (plastic cover over the toilet, cracks in the wall, main room was kind of dark, No Hot Water in shower, no HVAC, Wi-Fi was cutting in and out (2G service). Compared to the prices nearby, this property was very affordable and generally as advertised.

Value was good considering what we paid for the stay. Unit 6 had some indications of moisture penetration in the walls, no light or soap holder in the shower, curtains barely covered the windows in bedroom, no curtain on back window. Grounds outside were not being maintained..

Hot water didn’t work for 2 of the 3 days I was there. Both space heaters provided were broken. Dusty all over the place. Chair stained so bad you don’t want to sit on it. Wouldn’t recommend which is a shame because it has potential.

There was no air conditioner just an fyi. And the communication with Vacasa was horrible!! I called, texted, and messaged for days with a question and needing help and received no responses. The room itself was very clean and great but beware there is no air conditioner and the communication horrible.

Excellent for the price!

PROs: Perfect location, right by Kings Beach. Stroll right across the street to the Lake. Lots of great coffee joints, shops and restaurants just a short stroll away. Bed was comfy, came with a comfy chair and foot rest Generally quiet neighbors Check in process was easy Great price! CONs: - seemed clean when we first walked in, but once we got settled we started seeing that some spoons were not clean, some stray hairs were left about. Nothing major but not impressive - WiFi didn’t work/was too weak to do any good - outdoor fire pit looked nice but had no actual propane tank attached - had spare pillows, but no spare pillowcases (nor extra blankets) - had keurig coffee maker but no pods etc - guest is required to wash own dishes prior to leaving (that explains the unclean spoons), but minimal sink space/resources to do that. Again, it was a great price and location was exactly what we needed for our short trip. I’d consider staying again for a short visit if my options were limited but wouldn’t particularly give a glowing recommendation to my friends unless they’re on a tight budget.

Convient location

The Chalet was located right outside the heart of King's Beach. It is walking distance to the beach and center of town. There is not a lot of parking available so hopefully everyone is following the one vehicle per a room rule. Some positives: -Room and linens were clean -TV and WiFi -Closet with hangers -Bed was comfy -Fridge and Microwave Cons: -No Air Conditioning or if it was central air there was no way to control it. There were in room space heaters and fans, but I was thinking there would be AC systems that I could control/use in the room. -No light inside of the shower. Had to shower with the curtain open. Overall don't know if I would choose to stay here again, but would not be totally against it.

The location was great, I stayed for a wedding and could walk to nearly everything. Getting in and out was easy and when I had questions about parking they were resolved pretty quick. Some things that were negatives though were that there wasn’t hot water, just warm water only after it had been running for 10-15 minutes. Now I don’t mind cold showers at all so I didn’t reach out while I was there but for most people that wouldn’t work. There also weren’t any hangers in the closet which was unfortunate since I had nice clothes for the wedding I wanted to hang up. The room was clean overall minus some clumps of hair/dust on the floor. No AC but I hear that’s standard in the area, I opened windows and the fan they had was good. The last thing they could change is the curtains, they didn’t cover the whole window and there were bright lights right outside so it was hard for me to sleep with the light coming in. Overall it’s fine cheaper option compared to many places in the area.

No Air Conditioner and No Communication

I didn’t realize there was no air conditioner untill we got there, so beware. The place was very clean and wonderful. My issue is that I couldn’t get the property management company to reply to ANY questions via messaged, text or call. It took three days to get someone to reply WHILE we we’re staying in their place.
