Welcome to the Jewel on the River, a scenic getaway located near the St. Clair River in Marysville, MI. This 2-bedroom, 1.5 bath condo offers easy access to one of Michigan's beautiful Great Lakes, Lake Huron, via a short drive by car or by boat. Wake up to majestic freighters gliding by on the river and enjoy Michigan freshwater with access to a riverfront private beach across the street.

Our second floor condo is perfect for a large group, with multiple couches in the living room flowing directly into the kitchen. The first bedroom offers two queen beds, and the second bedroom offers two bunk beds (queen on bottom, twin bed on top). Guests have access to our patios with comfortable furniture and a firepit. This home has access to a private beach on the St. Clair River directly across a quiet street.

This condo is one of 3 condos available in a large house. You are renting Unit 2, which is a second floor condo accessible via stairs. You access this condo through a shared foyer/entryway with one other condo, with your own key to your condo. Our patio, front deck, and private beach is available to guests in all 3 condos.

Units 1 and 2 can be rented together and have an interior door connecting the units as an option. If you are only renting 1 unit, this connecting door is locked at all times via an owner-only key.

There is plenty of parking available for all guests.

During our stay, we had multiple issues with things breaking or not working. The top step broke, the unused dishwasher a leaked foul smelling liquid, a fire alarm that needed a new battery, no AC (got to over 86 degrees one night) etc. We informed this to the host REPEATEDLY. He only send his maintenance guy (who tracked mud everywhere) to fix it after I had reported him to VRBO. By the way, he didn’t fix anything. The stair was not fixed, just popped back into place- not glued down, not nailed down- so it still wobbles as you walk up or down. The fire alarm? They just put a battery for us to put it in ourselves- mind you, there’s no way you can reach it without a latter. The dishwasher was still left broken as well. We informed him that his maintenance person didn’t do anything- to which he claimed “maybe they are coming back?”They never did during our stay. We stayed there for over a week, and multiple times we had issues with things needing repair. Honestly it’s not the fact these things broke, it’s the fact he ignored several phone calls and messages.Other than the issues we dealt with regarding the owner, the place was beautiful. The views were gorgeous and it was close to everywhere we wanted to go.

We aim to be fully transparent regarding the situations mentioned: HVAC & Air Conditioning: When you alerted us that the AC unit was blowing warm air, we immediately dispatched a certified HVAC technician to service the system so your comfort was restored. It was also very hot outside during your stay. Maintenance & Repairs: Our local maintenance coordinator arrived on-site promptly to assess the stair tread and inspect the dishwasher. The dishwasher and air conditioning was replaced with new units after your stay. The loose cosmetic stair piece was repaired. Guest Communication & Support: We strive to maintain continuous, direct communication with every guest. We responded to your messages through the platform, dispatched local support right away, and provided supplies (including batteries) as an immediate interim measure while waiting for scheduled follow-ups. We always aim to provide a 5-star experience, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continually refine our local guest services and vendor response times. We hope you were still able to enjoy the beautiful setting during your stay.

Volleyball weekend

We were staying for a volleyball weekend in port Huron. The house was great and had everything we needed. We were able to jump in the river after a long day of competing. The outdoor area was amazing! Would stay here again!

Location and outdoor space was great. Spacious. Nice view. I found the kitchen and bathrooms to be lacking many necessities and there were a couple of dangerous tripping hazards in the unit. Property mgr was very responsive and corrected most deficiencies.

Family Reunion

Was back in Michigan for a Family reunion. The location was perfect for us. The views of the ship up and down the river was great and enjoyable. Management was quick to respond to and easy to work with. Easy to Check in and out. Outdoor area was a nice welcome.

Great place

Very clean. Management was quick to respond with any questions. Easy check in and out. We have kids ages 2, 4, 8, and 12. They all had so much fun and loved the beach.

The key to enter the house was not where it was said to be. I called the number on the listing and was told he no longer manages the property. This was the same number on the lock box. I asked him for the number of who did. He sent them to me. I had to call several times for someone to answer. Finally, the property manager blamed the housekeeper and he said she was on her way. We stood in the rain with family from Italy for 30 minutes after their long fight and being awake 26 hours at that point! The housekeeper said she didn’t know why the key wasn’t there. Finally the owner called me back and said he took the keys to make copies, didn’t know it was rented and was bringing keys back the next day because he lived an hour and a half away. I asked if he planned to compensate my family for the major inconvenience! He never got back with me. For the stay, beautiful location, uneven floors but that’s ok, there was one bath towel for a place that sleeps at least 10! By the end of the trip they had to buy toilet paper because there wasn’t much in the house. It also lacked a lot of amenities in the kitchen it should have had. If it wasn’t for the view, I would never recommended this place!

As stated, I am sorry for the inconvenience of the key being missing. It should have been there and we had someone there quickly with the key as soon as we found out. There are always plenty of towels, you must not have looked in the right location. If you contacted us we could have assisted you with locating them. Thank you for your stay.
