The Shores of Panama - Beachfront! 2nd Floor- 5 Beds, Sleeps 8 – No Elevators!

Donald, thank you for your feedback. I’m very sorry that the exterior stucco renovation work disrupted your Saturday morning. As clearly stated in the listing—and as I confirmed with you twice before your arrival—the building is undergoing scheduled renovations, which is why our rates are significantly reduced during this period. After we spoke on Saturday morning, I immediately texted you two options to help address the situation: you could cancel the remainder of your reservation for a full refund, or stay an additional night on Sunday at no charge when no renovation work was scheduled. I did not receive a response. I want future guests to be just as well-informed as possible, so as an additional precaution I’ve further updated the listing. For all bookings during the renovation period (currently scheduled to conclude in late February 2026), guests are now required to explicitly confirm that they are aware of the ongoing work before the reservation is finalized. We always strive to communicate transparently and support guests throughout their stay. I’m sorry the timing of the renovation impacted your visit, and I hope the steps taken—both before and after your arrival—demonstrate our commitment to responsible and attentive hosting.

I'm glad to hear that you had a nice stay at our condo and our property. The parking garage can be busy during dinner time. Our dedicated parking space is only one floor up so our experience has been that even when it is very busy and there are many cars coming and going it isn't a big deal and doesn't take that long to go in or out with our suv. The busy parking garage isn't anywhere near enough of an issue to impact the quality and enjoyment of our visits. Additionally, there are so many restaurants and attractions that are walkable, from right next door to under a mile away.

We’re sorry to hear that you experienced difficulty accessing the property. We always provide clear check-in instructions and multiple ways to contact us (our personal cell phone numbers and the VRBO messaging system). Unfortunately, we did not receive any communication from you before, during, or after your stay regarding the door code. We double-checked the code provided and confirmed it was correct and functional during your reservation period. We pride ourselves on being highly responsive, as many of our reviews reflect, and a quick call or message would have resolved this immediately. It’s unfortunate this misunderstanding occurred, but we will continue doing everything we can to ensure future guests have an easy and enjoyable experience.

All of our other guests to date have rated our condo 5 stars. It is unfortunate that you didn't have a great stay. While we have never stayed at our condo in July, we have been there in April, June, September, and October (last week) and never experienced any issues with the stairwells or trash smell. None of our guests guests complained either. I'm not sure what you experienced, but I'm sure whatever it was could have happened at any large resort. We have gotten feedback about the parking garage being busy, but this is the case with just about all of the high-rise condos in the area, especially during check-in, check-out, and dinner time. This is something that shouldn't ruin your vacation or get a 2-star review. Our listing states that if you are not happy with the cleanliness of the condo reach out to us. We did not hear from you during your stay at all. Our feedback from other guests has been that the condo has been clean. Our resort has great amenities and arguably the best pool in the area, with that comes people and it being busy.

I’d like to provide a bit of context for future guests: Stucco Renovation – The building is undergoing exterior stucco work, which is fully disclosed in our listing. Most of the work has been on the opposite side of the building and, during the summer months, has had minimal impact on our unit. Renovation in our area of the building is scheduled for October 31, 2025 through February 2026, also fully disclosed in our listing, so guests are aware before booking. Pest Control & Grounds – Shores of Panama contracts with a professional pest control service, and any sightings are addressed promptly. I personally visit the resort several times each year and have not encountered cockroaches, nor have previous guests mentioned them in their reviews. With lush greenery surrounding what many consider the nicest lagoon-style pool in Panama City Beach, the resort maintains a beautiful tropical atmosphere while managing the realities of a beachfront setting. Security & Teenagers – I did hear about the incident with the group of teenagers. My understanding is that security was actively handling the disturbance at that time, which is why the phone line may not have been immediately answered. While unfortunate, isolated events like this could happen at any large resort in Panama City Beach, and they are rare at Shores of Panama. Resort Layout & Noise – As with most resorts in the area, there may occasionally be some road or activity noise. However, both myself and other guests have generally found it non-disruptive, with the overall experience focused on relaxing in the condo, enjoying the pool, and spending time at the beach. We’re also proud that our condo has received multiple 5-star reviews from guests throughout this summer, highlighting its cleanliness, comfort, and amazing views. Shores of Panama remains a favorite for families and vacationers because of its stunning Gulf-front views, unmatched pool complex, and direct beach access. We always want our guests to enjoy both the condo and the resort, and I appreciate you sharing your experience so we can continue to improve.

Hi Karen, Thanks for staying with us. We arrived right after you and also noticed the sliding glass door was hard to close. We had the rollers replaced as they had failed. Additionally we put two shelves in the bathroom that you mentioned for additional toiletries. The baseboards were also thoroughly cleaned. We would love to have you back.
