Welcome to Full Moon Cabin in the Woods

Very close to 2 of Wisconsins largest lakes!! Newly remodeled home with an open floor plan. Deck with table and chairs for your outdoor enjoyment. Sit by the fire and roast hotdogs and marshmallows. Very quiet and private. Located 30 minutes from Wisconsin Dells, located on ATV and snowmobile trails and routes!! Home cleaned and sanitized after each stay for your safety.

We allow dogs only, please let us know if you will bring pets since there is a pet fee that must be included when booking.

Host was very welcoming. Place was nice. Only issue is you weren't able to park by the dooe to load and unload your stuff. Had to park by the road. It wasn't a far walk however for some on that has hip issues it was to far.

Cute, clean and cozy cabin

The cabin was clean and in a secluded area. It is not too far from a gas station and grocery store for convenience.

Great visit while Golfing

Great location to stay as we did a weekend of golf at Northern Bay resort. Good local Fish Fry options close by.

Great stay!

Our family of 6 plus our dog needed a place to stay while we visited family. There was plenty of room for all of us and we were able to access everything easily. We did not have access to Wifi which was a bummer for my teenagers. But they lived:)

Fishing trip

Husband and his friends stayed to enjoy fishing Petenwell! It was a great space for them to rest and get ready for the next day of fishing! The only this was parking was limited and we didn’t plan for that, but it all worked out!

This was a three night four day reunion with my two daughters. The cabin was comfortable and conveniently located for hiking and lake visits.

A sweet spot in the woods

Nice, semi-secluded accommodations, only 10 mins from Petenwell lake; and double that time to a friendly tavern (Bohica) with great food, music & generous drinks.

Very clean cabin.

We had a good time! Sky full of stars, campfire, great weather. We slept like babies. Very clean bathrooms and kitchen. I really recommend!!

Great place!

We absolutely loved staying at Full Moon Cabin. The place is very roomy and clean. The host, Cathy was just wonderful! And she recommended great places to visit.The only difficulty was getting off the deck to go boating. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I cant recommend it enough!

Father-daughter Getaway

Beginning in the early 1970s through the early 2000s, my daughter and I used to vacation at a family-owned cabin on Castle Rock Lake (long since sold off) . We have reminisced often about this area of Wisconsin and on an impromptu basis, just a few days before making a reservation, we decided to rent a cabin for a few days so that could revisit some of our favorite hiking and "hang out" spots. The Full Moon Cabin was perfectly situated for our visit.

Quiet and relaxing

We had everything we needed for our stay. Do watch out for the glass on top of the table. The blinds could be more room darkening for my taste, the bedroom gets very bright in the morning even with closed blinds. Having a full second bath was a plus.

If improvements were made it would be a nice place to stay. It was clean when we arrived but things went downhill. The listing stated 1 queen, 1 full and 2 twin bunk beds. When we got there, it had 1 twin bunk bed so 2 kids would have to sleep together. There was a folding bed in the closet but I wouldn't have booked it with only 1 bunk bed. Many of the blinds were broken with open gaps. There were 6 towels for 6 people for the week. I texted the host and she did offer to have the cleaning lady come by to drop towels off but we would have to wait for her to come by or we could go wash them at the Laundromat and the blinds were on order and bamed peoles dogs for the damage, but we could use sheets to cover the windows.(We got towels at Walmart) It's very limited cell service and no wifi. Trying to look up restaurants was slow and you can barely get a channel on the antenna tv. The DVD player has no remote. I did text the host again listing my frustration in a nice way and was told they can't please everyone. We moved forward. On Tuesday, we tried making pancakes and only one burner on the gas stove would light so we had to manually light the others. The glass on the coffee table sticks out about 1-2 inches so I moved it out of the way but my wife was doing something and it caught her leg and ripped her pants and scratched her leg. The trash was full when we put out the first bag and there were no trash bags. Honestly I feel like they forgot we were coming.

Good location, inexpensive

It was easy to get to. This rental was tucked away from the main road "Z". When I arrived I was greeted by the property owner who lives right next door.... She informed me not to drive up to the home but to park on near the street, I wasn't comfortable with parking near/on the street... I was to far for me to walk and carry my cooler with my disability. She did not want anyone to drive on the grass.... She did say sorry and offered to carry something to the house.... There is a sheet of glass on the living room coffee table that extends past the edge of the table...I wasn't in the home more then an hour when It hit my knee on it, its hard to see.... The main bedroom is right next to the furnace, it was somewhat noisy.... It was warm, there were a few extra blankets and pillows.....It was a fishing trip I made do.
