We arrived at the property and the apartment needed a deep clean- there was grease on the oven and back splash, filth on the dish tray, the tub had dirt and moldy caulk and a ring around it and the sheets were very warn and stain for the pullout. There were even a couple of dishes in the cupboard put back dirty so when we went to use - we saw no one had even checked before we came in. I am a superhost and my standards are realistic. We deal with over the top guests- I am not one. We paid a lot of money for a place this dirty and when I asked the host for a refund- a rudeness came out that accused me of story telling. No offer to come by to see it, get more sheets, send a cleaner, just no. I couldn’t even complain to anyone more because we were already in there and had spent 1,700. VRBO’s process creates more tension with host and guest- since I was already staying there- I didn’t want that. I would not stay here. There are so many other choices- take them so you can feel like your host cares about their guests.
