• Convenient Location: Located on Oak Island, Sandy Paws is just 0.7 miles from the nearest beach access, 1.1 miles from Publix for groceries, 1.8 miles from the nearest boat ramp, and 1.7 miles from Oak Island Park.

Sandy Paws was perfect for our long weekend stay. The extra touches like the stocked coffee bar and the toiletries bags were great and very much appreciated. Our Golden loved the backyard and the location is convenient to the 31st walkover to the beach. Emily was great to work with. The home was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Sandy Paws house was very welcoming. Very clean and had everything we needed plus many extras. Comfortable and close to restaurants and shopping. We walked to the beach and around the neighborhood with our dog.

Great place to stay. Close to everything we want to do. Slept our family of 5 easily (2&5 year old). Everything you could need from cooking utensils present. Keurig for the morning coffee. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

First time at Oak Island

Our family booked this house somewhat last minute, and we were so pleased with everything. The house was perfect for our needs - great fenced in yard for our dog, beds were comfortable, everything we needed for a great vacation. Location was great! Oak Island in the summer is amazing!!

A wonderful Get Away

This was an amazing place to book. Clean, great location and plenty of space for our little family. The kids enjoyed the yard and the adults enjoyed the patio would definitely stay at this property again.

Great experience

We had a great time at this home! Really enjoyed the outdoor spaces and the closeness of the beach (3min driving) and the ample parking once there. The home is beautiful inside and has all the amenities you need. Being pet-friendly was a bonus, especially with a fenced yard! Would DEF stay here again!

Fun Beach Stay with our Furbabies (dogs)

We went back for our anniversary to Oak Island where we got married. We wanted to bring our dogs with us this time and this house was perfect if you want to bring them. It’s in a great location and even the walk to the beach from house was enjoyable. The fence in yard was perfect for them. We had one issue with the smoke alarm battery needing to be changed and got a response right away with it fixed within a hour. Definitely will be back with our dogs when we want to visit again !

Sun,surf, sand and smiles

Cozy, roomy, comfortable, yard was enough for the pup to run a bit and stretch his legs. Tv's and all the other appliances worked fine. Quiet street, close enough for us to walk to the beach over the 39th st footbridge. Weather was great except one day wind blew away our Kayak tour of the Montgomery Slough. Maybe next time....

Perfect Beach Getaway for Family with Pets

GREAT WEEK STAY!!

We went as a family of 4 with our 2 fur babies. We even rented their golf cart! We had a great Spring Break trip. Even though not everything was open for business yet, we really enjoy how quiet and easy OKI is. Very easily accessible via golf cart all over the island! Easy drive to Southport for great food!!Emily was very easy to communicate with and responded very quickly! The house was just as described and perfect for our family of 4 humans and the 2 pups really loved running around the fenced yard! Not to mention, you can take your dogs on the beach year round!

Sandy Paws us better than advertised

From the cute beach bungalow feeling upon entry to the dog friendly set up, Sandy Paws is the perfect home base for a beach getaway with kids, dogs or both. The house is well kept & homey. There are even games should your stay have a rainy day. The kitchen has ample pots & pans, plates & cups. The back yard is perfect for relaxing or grilling a burger or steak on the provided grill while the dogs play tug o war or enjoy some zoomies. Highly recommend & look forward ti our next stay.

Originally from just north of Charlotte NC, we moved to Oak Island, three years ago because this is truly our happy place! We love everything about the beach from the sand, to the salt water, and all everything in between. We love fishing, swimming and most water activities. We decided to manage our very own VRBO property to provide guests with the vacation experience we always looked for when traveling with our pups.
