House was nice, beds were comfortable, the view was great, and the close access to the beach was awesome. Only issues were the door to the master bath didn't close and there was only 1 accessible closet (the other 3 closets were locked for owner use only).

The accommodations were good. The beds were comfortable and mostly everything was fine.The heat was an issue. The living room and the back bedroom were cold and the master bedroom and front bedroom were hot...Also, the bathroom door in the master bedroom did not close.

Everything about this house was perfect! It was easy to book, Dee, the property manager, was a great communicator, the house was exactly as described, and the beach is so beautiful and amazing!!! We cooked every meal and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed except measuring spoons, which is pretty easy to improvise. Everything is in tip top shape in the house. It was easy to keep clean and very pleasantly decorated with new, attractive furniture. We didn’t use the bunk bed room, but the two larger beds were very comfortable. The deck is the place to be though! Wowzers, the views are mind blowing! There are dunes between the house and the beach. At first it might seem disappointing to have to look over the dune to see the beach beyond, but that dune is critical for the well being of the beach, and the house. People are directed to the beach access path, which is only one driveway away, so we were over the dunes and on the beach in 2 minutes. The beach is long and wide, which makes it absolutely perfect for walking, playing with dogs, people watching, and playing in the water. The wide beach makes the water shallow and the waves mellow. Because we were there in November, there were no crowds, but the weather and water were still warm enough to enjoy thoroughly!We shopped at the Publix, which seems new. It’s lacking for nothing. I even found Indian spices for a curry dish! We didn’t venture into the town proper, but it seems very tourist and family oriented

Views were just as pictured, sand dunes and beach, ocean for miles. Perfect to sit on deck and catch BOTH sunrise and sunset at this time of year (October). House was clean, laundry available although we didn't use it. They did say we left an ink mark on sofa which we can't explain, but whatever, stuff happens and I'm sure it's true. Only reason for 4 star vs 5 star was the toilet paper - give me the good stuff!

A wonderful ocean front property which is perfect for a relaxing beach vacation! While the house doesn’t connect directly to the beach, it is a very brief walk to the dune cross over. I love this way because it really protects the dunes which are so vital for Oak Island. The deck is excellent for ocean and bird watching and sunrise and sunset! We also had butterflies and dragonflies! It was fantastic. Any problems that arose were quickly addressed by Dee. The beds were so comfortable and everything we needed was provided. The house was spotless! We will stay here again.

We went for a short anniversary weekend. It was just perfect. The location was great. Can’t beat oceanfront views. House was well equipped. Comfortable seating and bedroom sets. This is a cozy home! It’s on the smaller side so it would be best for a small family or just a couple staying in.

Nice view but lacking accommodations

1. Misrepresentation – Bedrooms Without StorageThe master bedroom and bunk bedroom lacked closets or any clothing storage. There was not even a dresser to store basic items like socks or undergarments. As a result, we had to live entirely out of suitcases during our stay. This is contrary to reasonable expectations for a “bedroom” in an advertised beach house and should have been disclosed.2. Non-functional AmenitiesOutdoor Shower: The outdoor shower leaked and sprayed directly into a person’s face rather than onto sandy areas as intended, making it essentially unusable.Laundry Facilities: The washer/dryer unit, located under the house, stained and damaged clothing (including sheets and shirts). One golf polo was permanently damaged when caught between the spinning drum and the dryer’s edge.3. Poor Condition of Living Room FurnitureThe living room chairs were old, worn, and sank noticeably when sat in. Additionally, there was no coffee table as pictured or reasonably expected in a living area setup.

We have vacationed in Oak Island for 15 years, this is absolutely the nicest place we have stayed. It is very well maintained, very clean and great amenities. The host was amazing and responded and solved any issues we had immediately.

The property was super clean, modern and the communication was great. There was an issue with the washing machine not working due to prior renters but they contacted repairmen and compensated us for the inconvenience.

Great Two Weeks on Oak Island!

West End Gulls is an awesome place to spend some quiet and comfortable time at the beach. The location is very convenient with great ocean views from the house and deck. Easy beach access. The house is set up very well and has everything you need to enjoy your time at the beach! We will return!

Great vacation week on the sand. Cottage is newly remodeled and perfect in every way. Fresh and clean with everyting we needed.Dee was very responsive, sent a welcome message and checked to see if we needed anything.

Break from Holiday Rush!

This house is on a restful beach behind lovely sand dunes but with access steps away. Absolutely immaculate with fantastic amenities. Turn-key vacation.

The house was very clean. That’s important to me. The owner communicated whenever I needed. We were just steps from the beach. I have absolutely no complaints. I highly recommend this place.

Updated property. Very clean.

Owners have thoughtful amenities. I would recommend that they provide local tv channels and look at regulating hot water in showers. Also, should put up house address numbers. We had great stay and would do it again.

Beachfront, newly renovated house with well-stocked kitchen

Area was very quiet and right at the ocean. We enjoyed the comfortable furniture and mattresses and the well-stocked kitchen. Washer & dryer being under the house instead of in the house was the only downside. Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy!
