Orange Door Properties is a small, family-owned business led by a mother-daughter team who take pride in creating beautiful, comfortable spaces for guests, with invaluable support from our dedicated maintenance crew. Our love for Jackson runs deep—not only do we own several properties in the area, but we also operate local businesses that contribute to the community’s vibrant culture.
As Jackson continues to grow and thrive, we felt inspired to create a comfortable, well-designed retreat for visitors to experience the best of our city. A defining feature of Jackson is its Bright Walls Murals—a collection of 75 large-scale murals that add creativity and color to the heart of downtown. From the scenic parks and bustling restaurants to the friendly community vibe, Downtown Jackson has so much to offer. We chose this neighborhood because it reflects the best parts of Jackson: a blend of art, history, and community. It’s the perfect setting for visitors to enjoy Jackson’s lively atmosphere, all within walking distance from our apartment.

Our building, affectionately named “The Lydia,” honors both the location on Lydia Street and the owner’s granddaughter. As a historic building, it holds a special place in Jackson’s story. The apartment is located on the second floor, right above The Orange Peacock Gallery and Millie’s Orange Sofa, art gallery and boutique furniture store. Staying here places guests in the heart of Jackson’s creative and historic district, surrounded by local artistry and charm. When we furnished the apartment, we thought about what makes us feel at home when we travel, choosing each item to create a cozy yet stylish environment. Unique, comfortable, and in the center of Jackson’s best attractions, “The Lydia” offers guests an experience that’s both luxurious and rooted in the spirit of our community.
