Private lake home less than 1 hour from the cities

Welcome to the lake. Spacious 2 bedroom lake home that comfortably sleeps 6. Located on the shores of Mink Lake with access to adjoining Sommers Lake. Gradual natural shoreline for fishing or swimming. Bring your own boat, private dock on site. Large deck overlooking the lake, great for entertaining.

Guests will need to access cabin using stairs from parking area. Lake access requires walking down a short hill with a steep grade. Property is located on a natural lake meaning lake weeds and water clarity is out of our control and change day to day.

Note: Dock is put in mid May and removed October 1st.

The property was just as advertised. Probably the best stock kitchen I’ve ever found in our travels. That is super important to us as we have a lot of food, allergies and dietary restrictions, so we cook all of our meals from scratch.Laura was responsive, and went out of her way to make sure that the sheets and towels were not heavily scented, as we have allergies and sensitivities to those types of products.We would highly recommend the property.The sunset over the lake was all inspiring.

A clean and cozy cabin with a great lake view. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, cookware and utensils. The beds were comfortable with a nice bunkbed in one room.

Great get away not too far from the cities. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking the shallows of the lake and swimming and tubing on the adjoining deeper lake. We all had a great time in this cozy and clean cabin. Easy communication with local host.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful lake cabin. The fishing off the dock was absolutely fantastic—we caught countless sunfish along with several impressive bass, catfish, and perch. The cabin itself was charming and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed (and more).The only minor issue we encountered was the shower, which was a bit too small to use comfortably—though we made it work by using the handheld sprayer. That said, it didn’t take away from our overall experience, and we’re still giving it a full 5 stars.Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Quiet & Cozy

This place is adorable and just what we were looking for! Very quiet and peaceful with great views. The kids spent the majority of the weekend fishing off the dock and had some good luck. The place was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with just about any dish or utensil you need. We really enjoyed our weekend getaway here. Would love to stay again!

Lakeside Cabin Getaway

This was on of the nicest places my wife and I have stayed. The cabin was very clean, and the view of the lake was amazing. My wife loved the sunsets and listening to the frogs at night. Wonderful place

It's a lovely cabin, with a wonderful view. We had everything we needed. Time went by way to fast. We stayed 11 days and would have stayed longer if we could. We liked to watch all the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. It's beautiful there in Fall, with all the colors.

It was a nice cabin to stay for my wedding weekend. The only thing is that it needs to be added to the listing, is that there is only room to park two cars. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay and a very nice cabin!

Cute place on Mink Lake

Property was as described and host was great to communicate with. We only stayed two nights, wish we could have stayed longer! Had a great time fishing and golfing. Whispering Pines GC really close by, also convenient to Annandale, Maple Lake, Clearwater for dining and entertainment.

Great stay

My friends and I loved the lake vibes, the views are beautiful and the stars at night from the deck can’t be beat. The home is quaint and perfectly met our needs. We got to see fireworks one night and that was fantastic!! The neighbors are pretty close though and during our stay they mowed their lawn 3 separate times in 2days and they were quite nosey, I caught one of them watching us through binoculars.

What a great getaway!

We had an amazing time at the cabin! Check-in was a breeze and communication with Laura was excellent. Once there, we were greeted with a cabin exactly as you see in the photos. Everything was clean and the place had just about every kitchen tool or appliance you might want. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were amazingly soft (which is kind of a thing with me). I would say this was more like a hotel than other places we've stayed because she provides shampoo/conditioner/body wash, which isn't the norm. I wasn't paying attention to the listing and assumed there would be laundry, but there's not so you just need to make a note of that. We appreciated all of the details and had a great time at the cabin!

Lovely place

Very nice property--well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and a nice lake view. Easy check in process. Agree with others that the shower is very small. We were able to paddleboard on the lake and it was fun to go around the island. Unfortunately, it was that time of year when the water can get murky, so it wasn't swimmable for our stay--but nice nonetheless. Lots of birds and ducks to check out. Overall, a lovely place.

Wonderful Lake Stay

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this darling lake cabin. It was quaint, well-equipped with everything we needed, and the view was spectacular!! Clean & Quiet

If you're looking to get away from it all, this is the place! Clean and recently updated cozy lake house. Access via a well maintained dirt road, sunset views over the lake from the deck are incredible. Super quiet neighborhood. We stayed here for a family reunion in nearby Rockford, plenty of room for our family of 5. The kids loved jumping off the dock and swimming in the lake. Host was responsive and kind. And good WiFi if you need to sneak in an email or two...

Cute cabin on the lake

We were in town for our nephews wedding and the location of the cabin was very close to the venue, but you still were out in the country. The house was very clean, well stocked with supplies, and the bed was really comfortable. Laura was very nice and accommodating. She responded to my questions immediately. The lake was gorgeous and taking a 2 mile walk in the mornings was a great way to start our day. Will definitely stay there again!

Family stay

We had a wonderful stay and the cabin was exactly as represented. Kitchen was well stocked with variety of dishes, pan etc and had everything that we needed. Inside was exceptionally clean, ice linens and beds were comfortable. Lake was very enjoyable and was fun to take my paddleboard and explore.
