Waterfront Round Pond Home, Private Dock

The Round Pond Ocean House is the quintessential Maine getaway. Located in Round Pond Village, a working fishing village in the mid coast region of Maine on Muscongus Bay. Located directly on the shores of Muscongus Bay at the end of a private road, overlooking Louds Island, this home a true vacation dream.
Enjoy water views from almost every room. You and your family can enjoy marshmallows by the fire overlooking the bay, use the dock for launching kayaks to explore or enjoy a dip.

Take in the coastal air on the front porch overlooking Muscongus Bay with seating and views of the sunrise over Louds Island while you sip your morning coffee. Start each day on a tasty note with a warm cup of coffee on the furnished deck as you look out to calm waters. In the afternoon fire up the grill and host a cookout in the warm summer breeze. Hop into the full kitchen and you will find all of the appliances and utensils needed to prepare tasty meals. Plus, you can end each day gathering around the firepit overlooking the bay until the stars come out. The sunny interior presents a gorgeous living area with a flatscreen TV, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen with all the necessities! The main suite sits on the first floor for easy access and features a private bathroom. This amazing home is perfect for those who want to be out of the way without being too far away from what the Midcoast has to offer. Walk or bike into town to catch fresh lobsters for dinner, kayak into Round Pond Harbor, or spend a day in nearby Pemaquid Beach Park, Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Damariscotta, Rockland, or Camden.

The slope down to our dock is fairly steep so please be sure to take caution. Also be sure to pack your water shoes to easily launch the kayaks from the rocky shore.

Added perks of this family-friendly getaway include 3 kayaks and life jackets to use, cable, WiFi, board games, a gas grill, and baseboard heating.

Photos do not adequately capture the charm of this house, the views of the inlet, and the terrific location on the Pemaquid Peninsula. The comfort and amenities offered are generous and impressive, including a ready-to-go-kitchen, laundry facilities, linens, bath products, kayaks, a fire pit, and even night lights. The host, Lisa, was easy to work with and very responsive. We'd stay again in an instant, especially when the property is able to open up possible renovation of the cottage just across the road.

We loved our stay at the Round Pond Home. Clean and well maintained with outstanding water views and access. The house had everything you might need. Definitely a plus to have the Kayaks included. We loved the Granite Hall Store and had lobster from the Muscongus Bay Lobster as well as the Round Pond Lobster, both were great. Lisa, our host was great to work with. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Quiet retreat

We just got home from staying a week at this house and have to say it was perfect. The house is located in a quiet area which makes for a nice place to relax. The location is close to multiple places to eat or pickup food to bring back. The house was very inviting and well stocked with everything you might need. The deck and bedrooms all have a beautiful view to the water. There is a nice area to sit and relax around a fire and there was plenty of firewood. The dining room was huge and had plenty of room for our entire group to sit down for meals together and the host was fantastic at responding back to any of our questions. My favorite part of this home would be the dock area as there is a nice place to sit and enjoy the view or to take out the available kayaks for a paddle, but mostly because it was where my significant other decided to propose while we were enjoying a beautiful sunset. This place fantastic and would recommend to anyone ( oh and the sunrise are pretty amazing too). I know we hope to come back in the future.

Was a little warm mostly due to unusual heat wave.

It was so much fun and the host gave us so many choices of interesting things to do and see. The whale watch was one of our favorites. But in the evening playing California (card game similar to Canasta) in the sun room overlooking the marina was so fun and relaxing. All the lights and boats moving about. Thank you so much for sharing your home and experiences.

Fantastic property with awesome hosts!

This place really is better than advertised. It’s an airy, cozy house with comfy bedrooms, and its location was perfect for us. Tucked down a forest road on beautiful Round Pond, it has a new dock and several kayaks to enjoy. We really loved the spot and the property, which was convenient to many beautiful small towns (Damariscotta, Rockland, Camden) and a longer but really pretty drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Patrick and Lisa were great hosts, responsive to any questions we had; they made our first trip to Maine great enough that I’m sure we will be back!

Highly Recommend!

Exceptional property located in a beautiful serene area overlooking water and tucked away in the woods. Very peaceful and tranquil. House is very clean and well stocked. Host is pleasant to deal with and very respondent. I highly recommend and will book this lovely home again. This is what Maine is all about! ‘The Way Life Should Be’.

Beautiful property

We loved our stay at this property. There was initially some problems when we arrived but Lisa was very responsive and help as best as she could. The rest of the trip was great. The house is very well supplied ( much appreciated if you are traveling from other states). We are big cooks and the kitchen had everything we needed. The view is amazing and dock area nice to walk and sit on. We loved the fire pit. Great at night. The beds are quite firm but it’s so peaceful there we slept well. Thank you.

Very nice house and location

Modern, well-outfitted house that is definitely upmarket compared to many alternative offerings. On the water with beautiful sunrises and bald eagles flying overhead. Gorgeous area near Round Pond with many hiking trails.

Beautiful home on the ocean

Spent a week at this beautiful house and enjoyed everything it offered - great view and sounds of the ocean from the bedrooms and porch, fresh air, outdoor evenings by the fireplace, trips to deep see fishing and puffin watching, biking, etc. The house is as described , spacious, clean, with positive energy. Very friendly owners. Thank you!

Thanks so much for taking a peak at our lovely home in Round Pond Village. I have been going up to mid-coast Maine since I was a young girl and simply love all things about Maine seafood, being by the shore and enjoying all that it has to offer from reading books while listening to the ocean, to hiking, kayaking, and simply exploring the outdoors in many ways. More recently we've started going up as a family and have fallen in love with Round Pond Village and the surrounding area. We just love being there. Our children enjoy everything from sailing to theatre through the local YMCA and we continue to explore the many opportunities to enjoy the area. I hope you and yours will have an opportunity to enjoy as well.
