Place was fine the kitchen was a bit rough but okay for our purposes, The GPS stopped us at the first house wish it took us down the lane further because we stopped at 116 and it was confusing Took a trip around that house saw the chickens and garage. Panic!!! But finally found it. I think we would rent next year. Especially since we would know where we were going.

“Our rental home” Just kidding!!

Second time my family has rented this cozy little house!!! It’s official!!! My older kids say Mom is staying at their rental house again!! Perfect distance between my 2 sons homes. One lives on Camp LeJuene and the other one lives in New Bern

Relaxing Getaway

Country Home is a very appropriate name for this lovely vacation rental. Everything is exactly as described. The home is very spacious. The pictures do not do it justice. The Host go to extra measures to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. We had such a relaxing time. We were in the area for a race at a local racetrack and this gave us an opportunity to get away and unwind between practice and race day. During the entire booking and stay Mike and Cheryl were always available to answer any questions we had. Unfortunately we only race here once a year, but hopefully we’ll be back here for next years race!

Family Vacation

My fiancé and I conducted our first joined family vacation where we had a teen and two littles ages 8 and 6. We absolutely loved staying at this property and everything was as it stated on the listing- given this was also our first experience with VRBO. The hosts, Mike and Cheryl, were absolutely fantastic- the girls all loved that there was a puzzle set out for us to try and finish.

Great Getaway - All Essentials Provided

I was very impressed with all the little details. All essentials were provided. You literally just need your clothes and food! The owners will get you started your first night there with laundry and dish detergent, 2 toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, a bag of ice, and even a dozen local eggs! Loved that they even had charcoal and a lighter. Air conditioning was great and the house was extremely clean. Games provided and DVDs, as the satellite is in and out on most channels. However, DVDs were perfect for the little time we had in the evening. I would suggest a tankless hot water heater to the owners if you find larger groups staying at the house consistently. We had 4 adults and knew not to be too long in the shower or to run the washer concurrently. A rooster could be heard on the screened in porch and the street provides a nice little walk. I would definitely stay again and the other 3 in our party agreed.

This house had everything we needed including dishes, pots and pans, and laundry detergent. Everything was clean and tidy and the hosts were amazing.

Country living

Location was perfect!! This place is very clean and I felt at home just walking in the door. Looked in the fridge and there was a dozen of fresh eggs! This is my second time I’ve stayed here and when I come back I will be hoping this place is available.

Peaceful Vacation

We rented this house for a weekend to fish in the Trent River. Very close to the river and plenty of parking for vehicles and boats. The house was clean and owners quick to respond to any questions. We will stay again.

Absolutely Amazing

All I knew was that this place was literally between two of my sons who are in the Marine Corps. We wanted to go to welcome home one from deployment and celebrate the other’s 25th birthday!!! Could not have asked for a better location!!!! Secluded but still close to grocery stores. The Best way to celebrate the above and also an Easter Egg hunt for the grandkids!! Definitely will stay here again!!!!

Quiet Country Getaway

Quiet little house in the country spacious and clean. Hosts were very quick with communication and very welcoming. The house is about 20 minutes from Tryon Palace and the Birthplace of Pepsi. Great location and a charming getaway.

Bear Hunting Trip

This is the second year we stayed in this house. No issues. Home owner is great, and the house is perfect for what we need it for! We had people arriving late or leaving early all work and we never ran out of room.

Nice and relaxing.

We stayed for just 1 night and had to leave because we had a family emergency and had to turn right back around and make a 10 hour drive back home. In the 12 hours we were there i can say the following: The home was very clean, stocked with everything you would need to cook/clean/bathe etc. There are 3 bedrooms. We only used 2 bedrooms and the beds were comfy. There were no creepy crawly critters in the home at all as it is very well taken care of. I wish we would have been able to complete our stay and enjoy it. Thank you. Thank you for your hospitality. It was appreciated.
