Welcome to Lake Emerald Shores, where lakefront comfort meets endless fun! Nestled in a peaceful cove across from undeveloped state park shoreline, this spacious retreat offers beautiful water views, cozy living spaces, and a host of amenities designed for families, friends, and their furry companions.

The Home
With 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, this inviting home comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests (per Bedford County regulations). Inside, you'll find soaring ceilings, warm wood accents, and plenty of space to unwind. Curl up with a book in one of the cozy reading nooks, gather in the open living and dining areas, or relax in the sunroom overlooking the lake.

For entertainment, enjoy foosball, darts, cornhole, and large TVs throughout the home — there's truly something for everyone.

Outdoor Living
Follow the gentle slope to your private dock for sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, or picnicking. The quiet cove and 9-foot average water depth make it perfect for relaxing or docking your own boat (or a rental). End your day soaking in the hot tub or gathering around the fire pit under the stars.

The check in and arrival were not smooth. The code did not work as communicated, and the morning of our first day, a tree removal service woke us up. No one informed us of this, and for nearly three hours we had a crew in the backyard cutting down a giant tree and wood chipping it. I contacted the booking agency who offered no restitution except a curt note hoping the rest of our stay was better. We were not able to enjoy the morning backyard which was the best part with a screened in porch and outdoor seating. The interior is more dated than appeared in the photos, and the carpeting in the upstairs bedrooms appeared dirty and stained in multiple places. I would not stay here again or recommend.

Good Property - Could use some updates

Great location on the lake, overall great bones on this home and our family enjoyed our stay. Could be appointed slightly better (life jackets for the kayaks and paddleboard, mattress in the master bedroom, carpet upstairs), but overall we had a great trip and the home was as advertised. Great for small pets.

Even better than pictures depicted. Lovely property. Most of our time was spent outdoors on boat dock or around fire pit. The hotel quality linens and towels were a nice touch. I would recommend.

Wonderful lake front home

We had an amazing stay at this lake home. The dock was perfect and the outside area in general is a great layout and really nice. Enjoyed the hot tub as well. The house was comfortable and so were beds. We had a great time and would stay here again!

Great Lake House

Lovely Vacation Spot

House was lovely, in a quiet private neighborhood, off the main lake on a finger across from the state park made it a great spot to have quick access for boating but also calm for swimming and just lounging on the dock. A few minute drive to the state park for hiking one day. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Lake trip

This is our second year staying at the property. Beautiful home and the property fits our needs very well. The house was clean. Our only suggestion is the kitchen needs to be stocked better with the cooking essentials and have extra blankets for beds on hand. Other than that we look forward to our stay next year.

Wonderful stay

I stayed here with friends and the house was so cute snd the outdoor space was amazing. I loved the sunroom and the covered porch attached. The house was perfect for our getaway! Some of the bathroom doors stuck but no other negatives!

Clean but lacking in a few areas

House was clean plenty of room for 5 adults but not enough hot water might want to upgrade the hot water tank. Need to stock kitchen with a few more to be well stocked just need to add a griddle for pancakes and maybe a couple of pots and a new can opener we like to cook at home. Maybe add YouTube TV all in all would stay here again it’s a great place and location we had wonderful Christmas with our family and our family in Franklin county

Great Location!

We really enjoyed our stay - the outdoor space is perfectly laid out. During our stay, the weather was perfect and we spent most of our time enjoying the water, the sunshine on the dock and the great firepit area. The house is very clean and has all the necessary accommodations. We would love to stay here again!

Relaxing on Smith Mountain Lake

The property was well equipped and clean. The grounds were immaculate and inviting. Our only disappointment was that we only had 2 full days there. Will definitely plan to return, but next time for a week.

Awesome house, awesome vacation, incredible set up and customer service. Kip and his team have outfitted this house perfectly, everything we needed for cooking any meal, enjoying the lake, fires at night, coffee in the morning, everything was there. Incredible attention to detail stocking the home with everything you need. The house is great for our family, three kids under 12 and mom and dad. The kids loved the lower floor den and Foosball. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay.
