Cozy family oasis

This cute little bungalow has everything you need for a family stay or a private getaway. It is in a convenient location with everything you could need. The hosts are quite possibly the kindest most down to earth folks I’ve encountered. I hope anyone who comes enjoys their time here as much as we did. Thank you for having us :)

Near Hanging Rock State Park

Owner was super responsive, good spot once we got the heat figured out. Older property but clean and serviceable. The hot tub was cloudy and smelly, owner said he will address it with his maintenance staff.

Our Wedding Week

We came from Kentucky to get married across the street at Chateau Vie. This bungalow was so convenient and let us bring our dogs so we didn’t have to board them. The place is so cozy and really helped us relax before and after our big day. It had everything you would need and felt like you were secluded while being so close and convenient to stores and restaurants in the cute little town of Walnut Cove. The hosts really cared how our stay was and even personalized little things for us. I would highly recommend if you are in the area, this is a perfect place to retreat to.

Stay near Chateau Vie

We had a wedding to attend at Chateau Vie. This house was so convenient to that location. The house is well equiped, and in a quiet area. There are 2 bathrooms. One has a garden tub and the other has a shower. The shower was kind of a tight squeeze. But I would stay at this house again. Also, the owner was very helpful and very reponsive.

Not what it seems

The house was conveniently located for our needs. The owner responded quickly to emails. The property was not very clean. Dusty fans, oven was filthy, floors were just ok cleaned. There was no central air just poorly installed window units. Master bedroom smelled very unpleasant. The master bedroom floors were wet as if the carpet was tried to be cleaned, which probably attributed to the smell. The bathroom between the two bedrooms was very small and the shower was no larger than a small RV shower. The so called spa was a jetted bathtub in what we called the outside bathroom. it seemed like an addition off of the kitchen and had washer and dryer but you can see through the door jams to the outside. Only heater in that bathroom was an electric heater that did heat the bathroom. Unfortunately I would not recommend staying at this location unless it was fully renovated.

Great Host

The property is conveniently located near Hanging Rock State Park, antique shopping, and multiple restaurants. It is exactly as shown in the photos. The home was clean and well equipped with all of the kitchen necessities. My group wound up having to leave after only one night due to some allergen that we did not expect. The home is pet-friendly and one of our group is very allergic to cats. The owner was responsive and absolutely amazing when notified of our problem. He notified us that he replaced the sofa and love seat on the same day and also replaced a bathroom Vanity as his “guests’ comfort is a priority”. I can not say enough good things about the host! If you are looking for a homey, pet-friendly rental with a lot of southern hospitality with close proximity to amazing hikes and antique shopping then this will be a great rental!

Love the property. My kids love the nice touch of animal towels. Charles was attentive to our questions! Will stay at Bob again the next time around.

Cozy and quaint 100 year old house

Clean and 100% as advertised. Small but earnest tribute to the Partridge Family on the back of one of the bedroom doors a pleasant surprise :)

First stay!

This property was a perfect place to stay at while attending a wedding at Chateau Vie, which is within walking distance. Highly recommend it to anyone coming into the area for the evening.
