This unbeatable location makes it easy to enjoy a hike at the park and then retreat back to the property for some rest and relaxation. For the non-hikers, enjoy the mountains without the physicality! Stay at the house and unwind on the back deck or screen porch while taking in the majestic view of Hanging Rock from the BACKYARD!

This cute & cozy 2 bedrooms & 2 full bath mountain getaway has been beautifully and entirely updated. Modern conveniences, pleasant decor and comfortable furnishings awaits guests after a long day of activities. Continue appreciating the outdoor with games in the spacious and picturesque backyard or make some s’mores in the fire pit! If you’re ready to call it a day, snuggle up next to the fireplace in living room! With a push a button, the fireplace gas logs make it easy for guests to enjoy the ambience of a fire without the effort or cleanup!

Rest assure that we have made the best effort to provide guests with a clean, convenient and comfortable stay. High quality linens & down comforters provide a cozy night's sleep. All linens, including duvet covers, double pillow cases and double fitted sheets & throw blankets are washed between guests. Towels, bathing soaps, laundry detergents & paper goods are also provided.

THINGS TO DO:
Centrally located, the property is close to many outdoor activities. Guests can spend an hour or days hiking the many trails at hanging rock park and enjoy the various waterfalls. During the heat of the summer, the lake at the park provides a nice option to cool off. Tubing and kayaking down the Dan River are other activities for guests to enjoy. For the thrill seekers, rock climbing and zip lining are offered nearby.

Please be mindful that the property is located adjacent to the park and the presence of animals, insects or creatures that may be dangerous is possible. Amazing Mountain Getaway!

We booked this property for a weekend visit to Hanging Rock and it did not disappoint! Amazing view of Hanging Rock from the back porch and literally right next to the park entrance! The house was clean, cozy and extremely well-appointed and with places to relax.

We had a wonderful weekend in the mountains. The house was extremely clean and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. My little boy loved playing in the yard with the balls and my family enjoyed the corn hole boards. We grilled steaks and were able to find all the tools we needed to cook dinner. We even made blueberry muffins with fresh blueberries from the backyard. Hanging Rock State Park was right around the bend. After a long day of hiking, it was nice to sleep in a comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous vaction rental.

We attended a wedding at Moore's Spring Manor and didnt want to stay too far away. Quick 5 minute drive was perfect. The house is cute, updated and CLEAN. Ciomunication with the owner was perfect. This was actually my first VRBO rental and it was GREAT.

Charming accommodations

We thoroughly enjoyed the Mountain View cottage. The screened porch was delightful for morning coffee. The deck is beautiful with a lovely view. We had everything we needed. Very clean and cozy

Cutest Rental!

We were in town for a wedding in Walnut Cove and this was the perfect place to stay. Great hiking is just a short distance away. The home was very comfortable and well maintained. This was definitely a favorite rentals out of all of the places I’ve stayed in before. Thank you, Lanni!

Amazing place and location

We had such a great time staying at this property while visiting the surrounding sights. The house was super cute, freshly updated and immaculately clean. The mountain view from the back porch was also amazing and just what we needed to relax and unwind. The host went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. We will most definately be back.

Great location for trip to Hanging Rock

Great house for our family of 5, weekend trip to Hanging Rock! The house is as described in the listing, spotlessly clean, with updated furnishings and appliances and clean, comfortable bedding! We enjoyed using the outdoor space and fire pit. The owner was friendly and responded promptly to inquiries and, best of all, left us delicious homemade cookies!

The pictures do not do this property justice. Everything we could possibly need, from q-tips to sandwich bags, was provided. The house was pristine and the views incredible.This was hands-down the nicest place we have ever booked through VRBO.

Wedding Weekend

This was a great place to stay, would give a "10", but "5" is as high as you can rate :) The Host was very quick to respond to any questions and very friendly. The pictures don't do it justice, very nice home, cleanest we've ever stayed at and they thought of all the things you may want or need while away from home. The only thing that could have made it better, if the weather had been a bit warmer and no wind so we could have enjoyed the screened porch and outside patio that overlooked the mountain. You can't go wrong staying at this comfortable home :)

Perfect weekend

You literally can’t get any closer to the entrance of Hanging Rock State Park if you’re not staying inside the park. The location alone saved us so much time and afforded us that extra relaxation we were hoping for this weekend! Some other highlights: Queen mattress was deep and comfortable with high quality sheets and pillows making for a great night’s sleep. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed - coffee pot is a cone/reusable filter shape, waffle maker came in clutch, high quality knives for cooking at home (which was needed since all the restaurants in Danbury close between 8-9pm and we had done a sunset hike without grabbing dinner before.)Would definitely come back and bring the kids - tons of cool lawn toys/games.And the view is perfect.

Well managed property

We have stayed in several properties over the years. This by far has been one of the cleanest. The property is decorated very cute and the owners thought of everything that you might need. I would definitely stay at this property again. We were in town for a funeral and did not get to take advantage of sightseeing But it was in a great location to explore the local area. With the view of the mountain right in the backyard.

GREAT STAY!!

We were very pleased with this home! Clean and cozy with plenty of sleep options, board games and corn hole for entertainment. Although we planned ahead and brought what we needed it was nice to find the kitchen stocked with seasonings, condiments and a limited pantry in case you forget something. Bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner and body wash for anyone who may have forgotten to bring it. Extra pillows and blankets everything you need! The view was beautiful and made sitting on the back porch in the evenings lovely!

Chic rental with all the amenities

Absolutely amazing experience at this rental. I highly recommend it. The rental itself is so tastefully decorated and it looks new. It has all of the amenities I could ever want and more. The owner is an outstanding host. They have thought of every detail to make your stay as luxurious as possible- they even provide hot chocolate and coffee pods! The property is huge and the view from the back is breathtaking. They even have outdoor games. I can’t wait to go back.

The BEST rental!!

My sister and I wanted to explore Hanging Rock State Park and found this one. It is about 1/2 mile to the Visitor Center so super convenient. The check in was so easy. The owner messaged me the day before with the code and how to get to the door to unlock it. There guest information book was amazing. It had very specific directions for everything that you may need to do. Also, located near the gas grill, TV's and fireplace were laminated directions on how to use them as well. Now for the best part. This house is gorgeous and loaded with everything you may need. There were spare items in the bathrooms in case you forgot to pack something. Kitchen is fully stocked with all things you may need as well. The bedding was nice and very comfortable. My sister loved the pillows. The back patio had an amazing view of Hanging Rock and the visits from the local deer, ground hog and birds were so fun to watch. The screened porch was so comfortable and our favorite place to relax after a day of hiking. We are looking forward to coming back here again.

PHENOMENAL property & experience

This property and accommodations far exceeded our expectations!! The owner thought of absolutely everything! As soon as you enter the property you recognize the details and amenities this property has to offer, from the patio area, grill, to all the recreational activities available. Once you enter the home, it just keeps getting better. The cleanliness is top notch, as well as the design. They truly maximized the living areas, yet allowed for privacy in your own space at the same time. The sliding wall in the hall was an unexpected bonus. The beds were amazing as well as all the linens & sheets provided. The bathrooms were fully stocked with all the extra amenities, like toothbrushes & toothpaste, cleaning supplies, first aid kit, etc. Every room is equipped with lights that support amble charging capabilities for several devices, including those at the bedside. This is one of the most well designed and detailed oriented houses we have stayed in, right down to the flashlights and spare batteries. The spectacular view was icing on the cake! We will be booking again! Thank you for a great experience!
