Hobbit Hideaway - Do Something Different!

Trek back from Mordor and retire to a full kitchen, AC/heat, queen bed, pullout couch w/ new memory foam pad, washer/dryer, shower and more. Enjoy the patio where you can be the lord of the fire ring, grill PO-TAY-TOES, enjoy the swing, hammock, horseshoes, axe throwing, games and more. Located 12 min from beautiful Traveler’s Rest, where you can run/bike your little hobbit heart out on the Swamp Rabbit trail. Also 30 min from downtown Greenville.

While the average height of a hobbit is 3’6”, our ceiling height is 11’ so even tall humans (normies 🙄) can fit comfortably. It’s waaaay bigger than it looks!

Clean and easy to figure out the HVAC system and television. Pet friendly and if we had had more time we would have enjoyed a the fire pit. Only wish the mattress was in better shape. The Hobbit Hideaway is glamping at its best!

The property was perfect for our group of 4 friends exploring Table Rock State Park. Very close to good food options too. We had an issue getting in to the property and Jacob was very prompt in responding and getting us in quickly. One person in our party left something behind, and Jacob quickly located the item and got it back to us. Would be happy to stay here again when in the area.

This is such an amazing little getaway!I onlyntook one photo, but it encapsulates the energy of this site so well!Even though it rained the entire time i was there, the hobbithole was warm, comfortable, and even had snacks (see photo).I've already recommended this location to several people!

We had such a great getaway here! The listing is completely accurate, and Jacob is a great host. Everything has been thought of! We sincerely appreciate having a nice place to go where our dogs can also stay. I do want to share, since I didn’t see this in any other reviews, that if you do not enjoy camping or bugs, this might not be the place for you to stay. Spiders and bugs that fly to lights are abundant. This is like camping in a cabin in the woods. The neighbors do have a dog with a big bark. We only came across him once in the many times we walked our dogs, but just wanted to give a heads up in case you have a dog-aggressive pup, that there is another dog nearby. All in all, this is a fun family-friendly place to slow down and enjoy some quality time! Thanks so much for having us!

Another great stay

I love staying in the hobbit hideaway whenever I visit family in Marietta. I travel with my two dogs and appreciate that they are also welcome. This is a cozy and private little getaway.

I’m Jacob. A few years ago I converted a van into a camper. It was my daily-driver for a while but eventually decided my Matt Foley days were over and I retired the van in exchange for something more eco-friendly (but much less fun). The van sat around in between weekend camping trips that unfortunately became less and less frequent as time passed.

A year ago I decided that the holy grail of swaggin’ wagons could no longer be kept a secret from humanity. You really think I would hide something as great as this van under a bushel?? The answer is NO!!

Anyway... So then I decided to build a campsite in my backyard so that others could enjoy the van the same way I have.

Well now, I have purchased some land and have begun to draft the dream spots. First, I started with a dome... reminds me of a hobbit home, but cooler! I am now remodeling a bus and hope to have that to you soon!
