Cabot trail, walk to beach, luxurious living space, gorgeous Atlantic Ocean view

Beautiful, scenic, relaxing Atlantic Ocean direct view. Comfortable, cozy and luxurious living space of 3,800 sq feet. Fully equipped with all essentials, build lifetime memories, unforgettable experience. We provide all bedding linen, towels and bar b q grill. Walk to the La Plage beach. Several hiking trails as you step out from the house. World famous Sky Line trail is about 30 minutes drive.

Check in time is 5pm onwards through lock box. Check out time is 10am. Kindly throw all used linen, bedsheets & towels in the laundry room and place all recycling in blue bags & all garbage in black bags that are under the sink in the kitchen and kindly put them in the bin outside by the driveway next to the signage.

We have left several useful notes at the entrance table, kindly go through them. Thanks and have a wonderful stay.

We used it for a group of 8 golfing trip. Exactly what we needed: Close to the golf course/amenities/restaurants, lots of space of everyone to sleep and have a bit of privacy if wanted, the most outstanding views, beautiful deck to enjoy the views. One thing to be aware of is that if you arrive in the dark as we did, may be a little difficult to find the driveway.

We had a lovely stay at the Chateau acadien. The panoramic view from the deck of the Cape Breton shoreline is unforgettable. All the rooms were luxurious and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location on Cheticamp Island is in the original fishing settlement, and a small museum is being built nearby. It is supremely quiet and peaceful, but conveniently close to Cheticamp. I highly recommend this property.

Great location on the water with great views. Multiple sleeping options with three bedrooms in basement and two twins in the living room loft. A patchwork of comfy, functional furniture. Easy to come and go.

The house is located right on the water front of Chitticamp island, it host a beautiful view both day and night, and very conveniently located to some of the best golf courses in Canada if not the world.

Great Getaway

We had a wonderful trip! The property is located on a secluded island just minutes away from the town of Cheticamp. We went for a morning round of golf at la Portage Golf and Country club and followed by an evening taking in the local bands at the Doryman Pub!The Property has beautiful wrap around windows allowing for a view of the bay from 3 sides, and a wrap around deckperfect for morning coffees and evening BBQs. We are going looking forward to coming back next year and making this trip an annual tradition.

A wonderful place to have a reunion - close to the beach, hiking and the village of Cheticamp.

It gave our family a great spot to eat, visit, play board games, have a kitchen party on the deck, hike and swim.

What an amazing place. Situated at the end of a very quiet road, there is a great view of the ocean and you can walk to the beach for a swim. The inside was perfect for the 6 adults and 3 kids in our party, and we enjoyed every minute - especially on the large wrap around deck. We will definitely put this on our list as a place to visit again!

Family vacation

We were very happy with the location and we had six in our group. We had adequate rooms to spread out and enjoyed the large kitchen table to play games that was provided. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the large deck and the beautiful view. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Gorgeous house

Wonderful views, very large and thougtfully designed house offering quiet and privacy. Close to Cape Breton National Park and the town of Cheticamp. We enjoyed the large number of rooms and bathrooms available to choose from - perfect for a larger group!

Awesome view a! Wonderful unspoiled natural area!

We had a wonderful time. The view and the island were magnificent. We saw numerous birds, seals and dolphin. Swam at nearby beach where the kids caught and released many hermit crabs. Went to the lighthouse on island and hiked at Cape Breton National Park. Wildlife everywhere. One of the most beautiful unspoiled areas any of us had ever visited.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay on Cheticamp island. The check-in process was seamless and Aized’s communication was excellent. The location is beautiful with great views. When the windows are open, a very nice breeze comes through the house. As others have mentioned, the house could be cleaner. It needs a thorough deep clean and better regular cleanings. Overall, the house worked well for our family and the location was excellent - a short drive into Cheticamp and up to the trails in the park!

Wonderful Experience!

Wonderful experience for our group of 5 adults. Beautiful views, great deck for morning coffee.And we were greeted by seals floating in the water near the house, in the morning. The tea drinker in the group was grateful for the teapot in the kitchen. Very responsive owner/manager. He answered questions immediately. Property is steps from an 80 acre nature preserve which we took full advantage of. Just a wonderful experience. Highly recommend. !

Great location, property is tired and not very clean

Wonderful location but property is not being cared for. Sheets on the beds were stained and both showers had a build up of black mold. Furnishings are “tired” and there are no blinds on the windows in the downstairs bedroom. Wonderful area outside but there was no table and the chairs shown in the pictures were not the ones made available to us.

This home has lots of potential, but came up a bit short for us. First the good: quiet location, wonderful view, nice wrap-around porch for your group to gather. Nice to wake up to a lovely sea view and watch the seals in the bay. The owner is very nice, very responsive. The home's description says "luxurious living space," but that is not how we would describe it. The kitchen, furniture and beds are dated. There are no closets in any of the bedrooms. The 2nd bathroom has no shower, only a bathtub. Three or 4 lightbulbs were missing or burnt out. There's no air conditioning. In August, we experienced 3 different temperature zones. Bottom level was cold. Middle level was warm, but could be cooled by opening windows. Top level was very warm and opening the two skylights did not lower the temperature much. As a result, it was difficult to sleep on the top floor. Only about half of the home's windows could be opened, which also limited the cooling potential. Based on the description and reviews, our expectations were high, but overall it did not reach them, at least with the interior.

Loud, Undisclosed Construction Next Door

Unfortunately, our stay was significantly impacted by extremely loud construction noise from the lot right next to the house. Each morning, we were woken up at 7:30 a.m. by constant noise from large trucks, beeping, pounding, and heavy machinery that lasted until 5 p.m. daily. The noise was so loud that even with windows closed, the house shook and the windows vibrated.We were unable to enjoy time on the deck due to the dust and noise, and the construction crew had a direct view of the outdoor space, compromising privacy. When we contacted the host, we received little sympathy and were told simply to avoid being home during construction hours.The biggest disappointment was that none of this was disclosed in the listing. Had we known, we would have chosen a different rental. We’ve stayed at many VRBO properties and always left 5-star reviews—this is the first time we’ve felt compelled to rate lower. Until the construction is complete, I would not recommend this property.
